What does this tell us? It tells us that we're not even half-way through the road to a true Jedi. It means that maybe we're getting hit with all these nerfs is to insure that Padawans are up to par with any other combat profession.
Do you think for a second that developers would allow a Jedi Master in the new FRS could be beaten by 1 bounty hunter? No way, that would be complete bs. As padawans however, it makes sense for experienced bounty hunters to be able to take us down. Just think how powerful we will be in the new FRS. Who knows they might add in more combat level, more melee/ranged defense, or less downtime for heals. All I know is, FRS should be the #1 priority for our correspondent should be pushing for.
Just my thoughts...
I really hope this isn't the way it's going to be, saythis guydidn't want to enter the FRS because he didn't want to be light or dark jedi. Then he's screwed over as far as his ability to fight vs. the decision he makes goes.
Well we don't know if the FRS will be coming back. For all we know it could have the Master | Apprenticeship concept, or might even add own shadow wars. We just don't know. Developers are keeping us in the dark about this stuff.

who knows what goes on between lucasarts and soe behind closed doors. Its to the point now that i beleive that they are intentionally not ok'ing the frs till jedi thin out. when the jedi get to lower numbers then the frs will miracously be approved. then its time for lawsuits.
Good.
That means the FRS will be released when pigs fly. ![]()
I don't know how they should make people advance from Knight to Guardian to Master etc, but as to the Knight Trials, i'd like something thats different for each person so no one can slap up a "Guide to Knight Trials" within a couple hours and if you fail you can't retake them for 7 days to let you think on your mistakes and learn from them, not to mention second time you go round... they could be different again.

I agree a quest-based system to master would be a disaster - unless the quests are very hard and upon death you lose the Master title and have to go through all the quests again to get it back.
Skill-loss upon death is also a good one.
Prema-death is a no-no. You can't have people working up a toon for 2 years then kill it off permanently. That's just sadistic.
BTW...I like the part I highlighted in red the best.
Instead of redoing the trials, though, I would just block their skills for a period of time until they "recover."

yeah i agree. im for pvp tho as far as getting rank. if you die, you should loose your boxes (and xp), killing jedi from the Opposing faction gives you higher points i guess and killing the same considerably lower..however you have to kill someone differently. if u kill the same person in the same day you get no frs points for it (pvp ranking i guess). zip.
And no quests. If there are, then you have to do it ALONE, no help whatsoever and extremely difficult, hard on you if you die and different for each person (which would be very difficult probably) so there can be no guide to this and that. we have enough of those already.
What i am trying to say is, we are in the carebear era now. and even though we cant stop jedi now (we can, however slow it tremendously by possibly putting spin attack as dervish, kicking up dervish damage with an aoe kd making it worth having again, or cutting xp to say 800max per jedi kill, or still, do something to the village to make it more difficult. what? i dont know tho.)
Come to think of it, why do we have 2 spin attacks?
Any way, i think if its quest based and you can have help, we will have as many jedi now be masters. because of guides and friends etc...i dont think that would be cool...
which is why i say the pvp way. if the devs really did implement a quest thing, and it is that difficult, people will complain...well, they complain about the pvp thing so i guess whatever.
But, bottom line, itHAS to be difficult to get master. It HAS to be. But be doable (doable doesnt mean easy tho). thats why i say pvp. But, theyd have to implement JEDI FACTIONS for this to work. no more rebel jedi imperial jedi stuff. Really guys, let me embrace my hate while light jedi meditate i say. We have grown too big for this game and need to be on our own finally.
It HAS to be difficult tho. No if ands or butts. Again reason i dont like quest based is you can go to dwb with a good group and there are guildes. A quest would be too easy and relaxed. If youre going to try and be a master, you need to beat a master, npc or otherwise. But it has to involve jedi..maybe a DWB/Jedi style if its a quest and NO friends can help?

I FULLY expect a Jedi Master to be cannon fodder for a single Bounty Hunter. Have you been playing a different game than the rest of us?
