...and seriously how many wookie jedi are there in the story?None. How many wookies in Ep 3 or any episiode for that matter, wore clothes? (ie cloaks, boots, pants...) None. Wookies arent supposed to dress like humans. Thats why they are covered with hair. I was overcome with laughter when I saw the first wookie jedi in robes on my server. It looks ridiculous and doesnt fit in the story.

dathomir, talus, rori, lok, corellia, dantooine. av-21's, bounty hunter armor, yt2400's and holocrons. this is a very short list of items and places in the game that werent in the movies. just because they werent in the movie, doesnt mean that they couldnt be in the game. first of all, there is an entire galaxy out there that wasnt in the movies, so much that was going on that wasnt put in, after all how could it? how many wookiee's wear clothing? i would suggest checking out episode 3 again and taking a look at the battle scenes a little closer. take a closer look at the wookiees and you might find some wookiee clothing. i agree that wookiees arent supposed to wear human clothing, but theres no reason not to have some wookiee loot in the game that would be the equivalent of the loot that is for everyone else.

as for the wookiees wearing the robes, i agree that it looks ridiculous. especially the boots. as far as im concerned the boot part should have been left out like on the trandoshans.

as for the first part of what you said, i admit there are some other issues that could be fixed that are more pressing, but im pretty sure that they are probably pretty difficult to manage. a little bit of coding to add mods to another item that is ingame (like the cloak, but only in a wookiee and ithorian item) shouldnt really tax the resources of the programmers too much. in fact i bet it could be done in less than an hour. fixing things like frs are a lot more time consuming. fixing little issues like this would appease the players who are concerned with it ( and have no effect whatsoever on those who arent concerned ). it seems like this is a simple issue to resolve.

First of all the matter of whether or not wook jedi were in episode 3 has nothing to do with the fact that my wook toon shouldn't be permitted to wear the cloaks. I've worked my a$$ off grinding him just like any other player or character to have the enjoyment of being a jedi. why in the hell doesn't it make sense to give us the same reward as the rest. wookie's can wear the beginners robes when they become jedi, wookies for some reason can wear the clone armor, why in the hell wouldn't we be permitted to wear the rest of them.

But then again if my wookie actually could pull your limbs out your sockets in this game i guess it wouldn't matter. sticking with the story line. you'd just visit the cloner more often is all.

also, this isnt in the movies, its from the books, but a wookiee has claws in his forearms that are used for tree climbing and combat. i sure could use a melee weapon like that.

Wouldnt that be the beginning of the biggest outcry the forums have seen in a while? I think that if the jedi cloaks, which are disputably among the most desired loot of the expansion (not the most, but up there in the top 5 thats for sure), were only wearable by wooks and ithorians, that there would be a whole lot of protesting and screaming by the non-wook/non-ithorian species'.

u picked ur char when u bought the game....

this seems to be the #1 ignorant answer to every complaint about being a wook

this was the same comment made back when we needed armor

i bought the game a week after launch when no one knew much about the game...i never knew we wouldn't have armor for the longet time and i didnt know what a wookiee could and couldnt wear.

excluding 2species from a majority of rewards and content is unacceptable...why not just add a radial option to convert stats to a item that can be worn by thespecies in question?

the same you you bio link a item...you can convert it permenately to the needed type of species clothing

just my 2 cents....

btwthe#2 ignorant response is"there werent <insert subject here >in the movies"

agreeing that "it wasnt in the movie" is also on my list of stupid posts. there werent as many jedi on the movies as we have in this game. soe is about keeping the $$ flowing in. so to keep the populance happy they could instead of putting in another useless reward fix the stuff thats broken now and make rewards be usable by everyone that can do the quests. ie if i can do this quest i can use the reward it gets me. thats not an unreasonable request. i pay my subb like everyone else so i should be able to do the quest/kill the npc and be able to use the cloak.

wook from day one.

passed over constantly.

Who cares if wookies didnt wear clothing in the movies. This whole issue is BULL5h1T and needs to be fixed. This is so F'ing stupid of SOE they can't get this right for the millionth time. I'm not even a wookie im a human but this crap has gone on long enough with these species not being able to wear things.

To the devs: How about stepping away from the vending machine and try doing some work.

READ Rutigrrs post again and put yourself in our shoes... New cloaks come out with the expansion ToOW and you cant wear them because you chose to be a wookiee. Thats fine if all you feel your precious star wars imersion would be ruined with wooks and ithos running around in cloaks but give us something! Give me one of the Sage hoods with the same stats i dont care! I love it how some people on these forum put WAY to much effort in fighting against us wearing the damn things...

I agree there are a lot more issues at hand here that are more important, but this is a simple problem with a simple solution...

This is SWG not Star Wars the movie... I dont think you would see as many jedi so open with their powers and sabers as you do in most major cities either... AGAIN Its a game not the movies, get over it..

Give Twi'leks an extra 250 health, let us have special twilek imperial helemts. then you can have your wookiee loin cloth with force mods and a similar ithorian swoop helmet.

Sounds silly doesnt it ?

i think omanik touches on an important point here, while disagreeing with him. those of you who complain that jedi in our place in the timeline are few and far between, and arent open with their powers in most major cities arent correct exactly. in A New Hope, Obi-Wan certainly doesn't worry about any 'visibility' from using a lightsaber in the middle of a crowded cantina, minutes after being questioned by some stormtroopers who are looking for some suspicious droids, that are in his possesion. Jedi in this time period may be in hiding, but they arent hiding, they just arent broadcasting that they are there. They dont sit in caves and hide, they participate in the world around them, and if they need to use their powers, they understand when that is necessary. Word got around that there were jedi still around in the galaxy, but that wasnt part of the movies. If you read the books that take place during and after parts 4,5, and 6, then you understand, that as Luke prepares to set up a Jedi Academy, he finds many force sensitive people and even some who were trained as Jedi, but went into exile. Jedi exist in our timeline, and just because you didnt see them in the movies doesnt mean they werent there.

Back on topic, but related. Just because the wookiees you see in the movies arent wearing cloaks and robes, doesnt mean they didnt. All it means simply is that you didnt see any. Chewbacca's nephew was a jedi, just to name one 'famous' one (famous if you some of the books). Like Omanik says, its just a game, use your imagination and imagine that things can exist that you havent seen before. All we are asking as wookiee characters, is that we be allowed to experience the same rewards for completing quests and getting loot that are there for everyone else. It doesnt have to be the SAME loot or reward, just something, anything.

Our $15 is just as good as ANYONE elses.

Now if SOE would only treat us that way.

(this is true of wook/human, AND Jedi/BH too lol)

I'm sorry, but when you choose wookiee/ithorian didn't you know you wouldn't be able to wear certain clothing? Didn't you accept that as the trade-off for enhanced HAM bars and other species goodies? I can't wear stormtrooper helmets as a Twi'lek, should I complain? No, because it makes sense that a Twi'lek can't wear a helmet designed for humans. Why should a wookiee be able to wear a human sized robe?

You're not being left out, you can wear the padawan robes. You can't wear the new robes, but then again, no one else has the same amount of natural Health you do (as a wookiee).
