This should begin to shelve and clean out the Jedi population and allow us to regain our former glory.

Many people say there are too many Jedi. Perhaps they are right. Perhaps you are right. It might be time to "shelve and clean out the Jedi population".

I'm glad that someone has decided to spearhead this very important initiative. As our new standard-bearer, it falls to you to lead the Jedi profession into its future glory.

Set the example for the rest of us. Delete your Jedi and grind out a Master Architect/Master Image Designer/Master Politician.

The Jedi of tomorrow are counting on you, brave soldier!!

There is one...

You do realize that fps have easy modes right? And there are so many other Jedi games out there that are just as easy (if not easier) then this one. I want this game to be set back to hard mode. See, the setup I have proposed is nothing short of what I already live. I am at the postitive xp cap. I do fight bh'ers that come for me. I don't whine about how Jedi is underpowered and complain we should make it easier.

Now, question is, are you going to ante-up to the bar and be a Jedi? Or are you going to standby and possible help these carebears destroy this profession?

I have never asked for an "easy mode". I have absolutely no problem with it being hard to be a Jedi, even as it remains incredibly easy to play other professions. However, unlike you, I feel no particular need to be better than anyone. Your ultimate goal, to have our "power turned up", is something that is of little interest to me. I play this game for enjoyment, and unlike most, I don't get my enjoyment from beating up on other people who are weaker than me. I enjoy playing with my guildmates and friends, I enjoy the PVE content, and am fine with the occasional PVP if I manage to get myself on the terminals. What I am not fine with is other people telling me how to play this game. The devs have decided, and rightly so, that skill loss, and perma-death, and all of those ideas are BAD ideas. All it does is create even more hatred between players, and between players and the devs/corros. And it allows people like you to come here and feel better about themselves by "pwning N00bs". Spare us the reply about how your not one of the bad ones- the elitest tones in your original post are more than enough.

Anteup to the bar and be a Jedi? I would make the same challenge of you, my friend. How often do you offer low level characters spots in your groups to help them get xp? When they ask dumb questions because they are new, do you laugh at them and blow them off, or try to help them in a constructive, positive way that allows them to continue learning on their own? When someone asks for help with a village quest, or their paddy trials, do you offer your experience and your "power", or do you scoff at them hoping they fail, so there will be one less Jedi that you have to share power with?

I don't ask for my gameplay to be any easier, but neither would I ask for others to be made harder to satisfy my own selfish needs. I am also able to tell the difference between reality and a video game. When I am logged into this game, I am a Jedi. I do not like judging people without knowing them, but if I had only your post to go on, I do not believe that you could say the same. When I log out, I leave the game behind me, the same as I like to leave the real world behind me while I play.

Finally, because I am so tired of hearing this: I do not wish to play other games. Other Jedi games are not even comparatively similar to this game in the depth of content, flexibility, and character uniqueness that this game offers. I also do not get to play with the many friends I have made here in an ever-changing world. For you to tell me to play something else would be the same thing as me advising you that if you want to be given more power, and be able to dominate everything around you (and be the only one doing it), to go play GTA and turn on godmode. Your post was a misguided attempt to "fix the Jedi problem". I say misguided, because there IS NO Jedi problem. It's only a problem for you. I do not care how many Jedi there are. I do not care what the person next to me does, truthfully, so long as he or she is not hurting anyone else. Timeline be damned....this is an MMO. It says right on the box, "Online gameplay may change". They created a world, then left human beings to run it. Vast change is inevitable. So in Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back, there were only 3 Jedi. This is Star Wars: Galaxies. There are many. That's the way it goes. I'm sorry if you were mislead to believe that you would be one of the few most powerful players in this game. But that time, simply, is over.

I am one of the few Post-CU Jedi that hasn't called for the removal of pre-cu sabers and/or pearls. Why? Because I firmly believe in allowing others to play as they will, and asking only for the same in return. I help where I can, and stay out of the way where I am not wanted. And when I see someone who cares about their own personal status more than what is beneficial for the player base as a whole (Jedi and non-Jedi alike), I will continue to point out the flaws in their arguments. I'm well aware you don't care, and will never be convinced. But if reading one of my posts, or the many, many Jedi who understand the game to be what it truly is, makes even one person think twice, then the Carpal Tunnel will have been worth it.

We must get back to our origins if we are to survive as a viable and powerful class. Make no mistake, we are on a decline that is being helped along by those within our ranks. It is time to purge those that cannot live up to the high standards we should all hold ourselves to. It is time to begin anew.

We must begin to reinstitute risks back into our profession and we must do it now. Without RISK there is no REWARD.

Outlined below is how we can begin to champion our revival. We must all take one for the team if we ever want to regain our former glory. So, with that said...I propose the following.

Then perhaps Combat Medic, Squad Leader and other enhanced (in the future) profession should be treated as that. They have no risk, only reward.

Altough I agree with the idea, I am a realistic man.

I had my glory of holding 2100 pvp rating pre-CU, I killed 15 people alone. I would love to be as strong as I were ( Don't forget many Jedi died to single melee players per-CU, too ).

But it's not gonna happen. SWG can not compete with its rivals eq2 and wow contentwise, so it's using people's love for Jedi. Like it or not, Jedi IS unofficially a starting profession now, and the reason at least 60% of new purchasers.

The glory of Jedi is over. Forget it and move on.

Please allow me to introduce myself; I'm a man of wealth and taste. I've been around for a long, long year, stole many a man's soul and faith Oropher, the Fallen So if you meet me, have some courtesy, have some sympathy, and some taste. Use all your well-learned politesse, or I'll lay your soul to waste The Plural of Jedi is JEDI. 1 Jedi, 2 Jedi, a bazillion Jedi Pleased to meet you, hope you guessed my name, but what's confusing you is just the nature of my game Guardian of Darkness Just as every Rebel is a criminal, and all the sinners saints..as heads is tails..just call me Emperor's Hand 'cause I'm in need of some restraint.

I to support this....well except for the ADK idea....jedi should be able to keep their sabers good when everyone else does the same for their armor and weapons....anyway...

For all you carebears or otherwise known as Post-CU and even a lot of Post publish 9 jedi out there. I am by no means trying toput you down or anything but i think you do not understand how great you have it right now.... All the things he mentioned in this post was the way it used to be, only thing he is missing is perma-death. Right now it is so easy its pathetic to ask for jedi to even be an Alpha class and its an insult for those that had to live in the saber tef times and live in true fear while grinding their jedi up to be nothing more than a regular toon after all that work. Yeah so we used to have 1500+ Damage sabers, but they were kinetic damage then and everyonehad on80% resist or better comp armor. However even with that Jedi were strong, they had all the skills. Back than a jedi at level 4444 Guardian was almost equal to a jedi now that has master everything but master powers (only because there was no force choke since you could not actually get the master jedi box).

Anyways all I am saying is by everyone complaining that it was "So hard to level jedi" well its not anymore.....I know jedi that change entire temps around in a week.....used to take 6 months min. to grind jedi, now its practically over night. But now that the risk is so low to grind jedi the power the jedis are given is little to none..... I support these ideas if for nothing else the power could be given back to jedis and even still less people would want to be one...they would be hunted by all....every action they took could potentially result in 50+ members of the opposing faction ganking them....

Basically if you want jedi powerexcept the risk that come with it or just stop your complaining all together.

Firstly, I would like to say I'm in favour of pretty much all of it except the names on the terminals - apart from the whole gank issue (which, to be honest I don't mind), it allowed BH's to grief and bully Jedi by repeatedly calling up their mission. Yes, in theory, your mission was dropped from the terminals when you died, but in actual fact that didn't always happen.

I am definitely in favour of more power for more risk, I am a pre-patch 9 Jedi, and I have watched the slow decline of the Jedi in this game with much sadness.

However, if we do a deal to increase the risk of being a jedi for better skills and powers, I say - GIVE US THE SKILLS FIRST! When we can more or less agree our power has increased to deal with the risk, THEN (and only THEN) do we get the risks.

I suggest this because all too often in the past, a skill or power has been poorly implemented in the game, or nerfed, or promised to us ('The Jedi are already balanced for the CU') - etc etc (you know what I mean ) - and so it would be open season on the jedi if the risks were implemented without the rewards.
