You can't burst run while cloaked. Alot of jedi, like me, don't have enough sp for force run.MBH can also eat parwan cake. Snaring us when cloaked is pointless because, for those of us who do need to run away,if we can't get out of the area the MBH causes our force to drop...fast. For those of us who use cloak offensively, by cloaking and staying in the area, we need to be able to channel and regen a bit because of ou massive amount force cost and crappy sabers.Let's not tooforget the need to heal so we can continue the fight. We don't have good defense and we take lots of damage fast.

Getting the picture?

you can burst run THEN cloak

if your cloaking to escape you don't need to heal to continue the fight.....but your intent isn't to leave the fight....tada...this is a fix prompted by that very "tactic"

you have just as much ability to pick up defender and not take damage as anyone else...mpowers is better against bh's than msabers, especially if you have a crappy saber.

I don't think youyou cant burst run THEN cloak. I've tried and I don't remember it working.

EDIT: Second part of your post...

Why should I do that?I want to play the profession I like, not hit the "I WIN" button.

no i dont like people exploiting bugs on purpose, and the above is a example of such a exploit,

you really like cheating then dont you if you think thats ok

how is it cheating? if you used the skill as intended....offensively....no one would know to look for you until it's too late....your using it defensively which is not intended and is the reason for the change.

who told u it was meant to be a offensive skill, The actul concenus is that cloak is primarly a defensive skill used to escape.

People keep saying, well just chage your templae. That's funny. As if SOE won't nerf that one next. Have you realized how they don't like us spinning lairs. BYE BYE defender/sabers

I've already accepted that...the sooner it happens, the sooner we get a revamp

I just get sick of people trying to justify nerfing other people's templates.

The only useful things in my Master Powers are Choke, and Cloak.

That's it.

I've dealt with it, and finally got it to where I can actually half way decently stand up to all the MBH/CM's and other Jedi through using cloak offensively and defensively.

And now they want to take away one of the few pleasures that Powers jedi have?

The only way I could EVER accept them doing anything to cloak, is if they finally revamp Force Weilders.

It's inexcusable that Lightsaber Throw is a better ranged attack in almost every way then Force Lightning is.

Technically speaking, Force Lightning "ought" to be the best ranged attack in the game. Yet in it's current form it's abysmal.

Roots you in place to use it because of the zip bar, has poor accuracy, a long animation which cannot be used on the run, all for a damage which isless the saber throw or rifle. (Might I add that saber throw and rifle have none of these debilitating problems.)

Then you have mind blast? Intimidation? Force KD and Force Throw? Gee lets rush to nerf the Force Weilders!

You know what this is about, it's about people getting ticked off at dabblers.

Well ya know what? If the 'rest' of powers was worth having, you might not see so many cloak dabblers.

At any rate, cloak needs to stay at 0400 Powers, and it needs to be left the heck alone. It is 'not' invisibility, it is a mind trick.

Thus being able to heal yourself is just fine as far as cannon goes.

Cloak is used to influence the minds of others so that they do not 'see' you. You don't become "invisible".

mind tricks only work on the weak minded....and rarely even against the slow witted once you have drawn attention to yourself by engaging them in battle

One last time.

So.........

I still have cloak at 0400.

I want to disengage an enemy, so I get 20m distance, cloak, Burst run, eat parawn cake, whatever, and move out of the area untouched?

(I still don't get why people want to channel while cloaked, unless it's so they can stick around, and aren't really trying to escape?) /shrug

exactly

Thank you for the clarification.

I think we were able to “tell” better stories, when we had player interdependency, and multiple, variable classes.

Gotta love how easy it is to create a panic in this forum. Its funny, but at the same time frustrating to see the rediculous amount of whining done in here.

The reason it is so easy to create a panic is becausethis situation(nerfs)haspreviously happenedso many times before.

So if everyone here is so aware of these regular nerf situations, why do they all consistantly call for them to other professions? You'd think that people that are aware of how annoying it is to get nerfed would know better.

I don't think that saying everyone calls for nerfs consistently on everyone else is going to get your point across to many. Any intelligent person knows that its only a portion of players who do this. And I'd guess a small portion.

But I agree that calling for nerfs is not the thing for us to do.
