Thread: MCM is being given break cloak!

I dont beleive in nerfing but I posted along time ago that the mcm and doc lines will get nerfed because of the abuse from bh and other combat proffesions. SOE has allowed for to few skill points for regular proffesions to be actually used on their proffesion. If jedi are not allowed to be dabblers fully templated, neither should any other proffesion. More skill points need to be used for that particular final goal, ie..a doc should have to use up the majority of their skill points on healing lines, fighters should use up the majority on fighter skills. I am talking at least 80 percent of the skill points. A doc should never be above a combat level 40, same with mcm. But again we pay for soe's lack of looking ahead.

Appearantly, you can turn on FR before cloaking. ( and attacking might turn it off which may be really nice) and FR 2 + snare is doable getting into range for an alph attack
What do you mean apparantly, the devs have spoken and said anything that will allow you to escape will not work with Cloak. That means you have FR/BurstRun going there will more than likely be a message saying you can not cloak until you stop running.
Why is this so hard to understand? You will not be able to buff/heal/run at all while you are cloaked, if you read the description from the devs. Essentially that means you have to crawl to your victims inorder to hit them.....assuming you have force left after you crawl past everything.

i know what was said.
Said that some buffs cant be done while cloaked
Said also that some buffs will be undone when uncloaking
what does what? a dev has not yet said.. so spare me

5. Some non-combat actions can also reveal you (like healing for instance)
I would like clarification on this as it pertains to forcecloak
here are some non-combat actions
ForceRun?
Forcespeed?
Channel?
logout?
Force cloak is currently intended to be an alpha strike facilitator, not a "get oufa fight and regenerate free" card; nor was it intended to letme selectively bypass content (this tells me FR will NOT, I repeat NOT work with Cloak no matter if you are in the middle of battle or not). Force Run was designed to be a (more) balanced escape mechanism for Jedi. With the new hiding/stealth system, you can probably count on mostany action that would let you get backin the fight for free (after you would have probably lost) to breakstealth(including Force Cloak). That includes the abilities you asked about. As a general note, logging out/in whilst having a hiding/stealth buff on you (including cloak), removes that buff. If it looks like the fight is going southI tend to Burst/Force Run now.
Please keep in mind that everything is subject to more play testing and balancing.

Stop making assumptions. No where in your quotes does it say if allready active force run will turn off.
Agreed, currently you can burst run and then turn on cloak, however you cant burst run while cloaked. No one will know until the changes actually hit test.
blue and green is what i have added or highlighted from your post

Saying that you can use these while cloaked.. OR, it will debuff you when you attack. If you forcerun, forcepseed, channel, and log out while cloaked..it WILL reveal you. You can have like forcespeed on and cloak. and probably FR. But when you attack you will be debuffed.

There is nothign wrong with CM. Yes your screwed if you use cloak to eascape while your on fire. How many times do the devs need to post saying cloka is not an escape/invinsibility tool.
Its not the Devs who decide how a player uses the skills, they onlt get mad when its not used as intended and then NERF it ! Devs stop the nerf - o - rama on the skills and start fixing whats borked intead dammit !

How are jedi not dabbling. There are 5 jedi proffesions and most jedi have 4 of them atleast. I\Docs and CMs probably have more skill points invested in healing than 95% of all the jedi out there.
considering that our healer tree encompasses only half of what a CM/Doc can do, for more than half the SP why would someone spend more SP in healer?
To actually be what a doc or CM has in skills and SP we'd neeed Enhancer abilities on top of our healer ones, and many Jedi do.....so in reality it all evens out.
In terms of a non-Jedi template, it would be something like.... Master swords/4-0-0-4 doc/little bit of CM.
That would be what most Jedi are.
