Don't waste force power using aura. It's not needed unless your opponent is a melee character.

!!!? absolute rubish

aura does 2 things

1 - makes your opponent (melee or ranged) miss more

2 - makes your opponent (melee or ranged) hit towards thier MIMIMUM rather than thier MAXIMUM damage - this is amazingly noticable vs a rifleman - and less so vs a pistol.

THE only time aura is not really worth it is vs a master sabers jedi as 1 - thety will hardly miss anyway - and 2 the damage range on a saber is so small you wont mitigate much anyway

As an MLS/MP temp...I love BH/MCM, they're my favorite because you can almost see their face scrunch up and their toon crap their pants as soon as that choke starts tickin..."rut roh! wasn't expectin that!"

Thanks for all the advice and poistive feedback and will take all of this into my next encounter which hopefully will be as successful as my first MBH/MCM. If I lose then I lose and will learn from that and adjust tactics some more.

Congrats on your win. Don't worry too much about those that are pointing out what you did wrong or saying that they would have beaten you if it were them. There is always someone better and you won't Win 100% of your fights so don't get discouraged if you do lose in the future which I'm sure at some point you will since we all do, even those saying that they would have beaten you. Any BH fight you can walk away from is a good fight . On the upside, even if you lose it's still a good fight as long as you had fun, and hopefully you will learn little things that will make a difference for you as you go, win or lose.

There are a couple of areas that both you and the BH hunting you could improve on if you wanted but a good fight regardless. If your interested in reading up a little bit on some good PvP tactics here's a link for one of the better Jedi/BH combat guides IMO. If you don't feel like reading it that's entirely up to you, you will eventually figure it all out as you go and it sounds like your doing fairly well as is. Good luck and always remember to have fun.

Just to add to my original post and respond to those that before stated that by a good MBH/MCM I would be defeated, well I guess I still have to meet a good one as since my orignal post I have met a further 10 bounty hunters and as it seems to be flavor of the month template for these guys 8/10 of them were MCM/MBH.

All have fallen before my saber :-)

I got my first MBH/MCM on Sunday. He attacked me from maximum range and kd'ed me while I was fighting a Krayt. I got up and ran (FR1) about 300m to disengage from the Krayt. Then I stoppedand waitedfor him. This gave me enough time to regen to full health/action/mind.

A few seconds later he appeared, dismounted his bike very close to me, and the fight was on. He used paralyze, dot's, and the speed debuff. But altogether the fight didn't last very long--2-3 minutes maybe. I rooted him twice, and he died soon after the second root expired.

Thanks to FR1, to Force Suppression and to the fact that he wasn't the best kiter I've had to fight, I managed to keep him within melee rangeall the time. He kd'ed me a couple of times but never went really far.Heparalyzedme but he didn't use the pistoleer root.

His mind went down quite fast--much faster than with the 4000 and 4004 CM's I fought before. But he didn't die because his mind ran out. He had about 1/3 mind left when he died. He just died from the damage he took while rooted or kd'ed. I used AB, Improved Head Hit and Improved Leg Hit.

The scariest thing for me was the nasty speed debuff. To counter itI used Improved Force Speed and Luiis Mushroom Pie (unfortunately, my supply of Mushroom Pie is going down fast). I think I healed twice during the fight (1 stim and 1 infusion).

Altogether, I was surprised by how quickly he went down. I guess MCM has itsdrawbacks. As I said, he used up his mind much faster than a 4000 or 4004 CM, andI guess he also had less defences and accuracy than a 4000 or 4004 CM.

The fact that he didn't have a root that didn't break on damage didn't help him either, butI have to say that he didn't useparalyze in the most effective way.

I'm MLS, Def 4440, Healer 4000 and Enhancer 3002. My saber has a base dps of just over 300.

Next time you're fighting a Krayt...try this one out...it's hilarious. Root the guy if you can...run up and KD him while the Krayt is in tow...and hack away. The area attack from the Krayt, plus your attacks, plus the damage increase from the KD, plus the fact that they can't use their heals while KD'd...it's over in like 3 seconds...I only needed to land 2 hits

But you have to be able to tank a Krayt fairly easily for this to happen...not recommended for people without high Defense

congrats on your win, but it doesnt sound like that guy knew what he was doing very well. I have beat bh in that short a time or less, but they were newbs. but, at least you got a good first experience. dont expect them all to be like that.

I have to say the bh you fought, was very much a noob mbh/mcm judging from your description of the fight, mediocre at best, wait till you run into a skilled one with 75% ab sliced armor, a better gun, and HE clothing, a kinetic damage droid they can keep healing, Bacta spray/shot enhancers, and DoT enhancers so they all tick for 300+... This is just the beginning for you, but grats on killing the noob!

Yeah, it all depends on the BH. If they are a good PvP'er then you are royally screwed because they WILL either beat you or you will have to run.

Good job on the fight, though.

Certain jedi templates can beat cm / bh.
