Thread: MBH/MCM Mtyh or Fact
so i don't know if it was your better saber and more damage (i'm no master saber) or my foult for not knowing my toolbar that i lost.
btw these armor slices are the pain and the bh have no trouble to get the slicing parts, i made my second to a mbh to loot some ca and most stuff i loot are armor slice parts, alomst every mission one armor slice part. i think this anti armorbreak slice is a little over powered and need to be rearangered. i don't say remove it just just give armor break a little higher chance to stick, or add some more damage to the armor break hit so it isn't totaly useless when it never sticks or raise the time when it stick.
NIce to see two players who were playing the game to have fun.
/tiphat
It sounds like you did all the right things you took yoru time figuring out your opponents template, you took advantage of yoru suroundings, you used the right foods for your situation. All I can think that might help you is yes keep him on /follow I used to do it back when I was a melee fighter & I still do it now as a jedi... sometimes but instead of always trying to tag him with head/body/leg hit as yoru auto attack make advanced saberthrow yoru auto attack that way when he snares/roots you or KD's you & you arn't right ther you are always dealing some damge to him & when you get up close then add in yoru other attacks.
Well thats about all I can add... all & all though great fight & use of tactics.

Yeah appreciate fc on my saber is terrible but Im still hunting for those elusive decent pearls and crystals.
But as for running out of force I wasted alot of time early on in fight, learning to PvPas I went, nearly had the guy on at least two occasions early on but due to my lack of experience and things like the sliding bugfailed to finish him. I still finished fight with about 2000 left from my 6900 force points, plus as he never really damaged my health bar below 2200-2300 I could have channeled in fight once every two minutes or so as well to keep going a bit longer, and I had a holo ready just in case as I would always have just for those types situations but thanks for the additional advice. Its very appreciated.

Yes the saber issue is the main problem I think.
I have a similar template to you, I am Master Defender. I simply find I am unable to outdamage their healing especially if they kite. My saber is..hmm, average, with a FC of 17, and against a good BH the fight goes on forever and more often than not we call it quits as it just too damn boring to fight.
No actually he did use root/snare/paralyse/fire as I stated all of the abilites that a MCM have at their disposal and for me not having force run or root, I do have a snare and I was using burst run food. No I dont use power attack as follow your quite right does not work , hence why I only used improvedleg/head/body and improved saber throw as in my OP.
As for his Carbine I believe it was when I reviewed my extended combat logs post fight and he was actually hitting for about 1500-1600 but my defense mitigated that down to about 600-700, and he was missing loads too (remember Im running around with+315 melee and +300 ranged before I even turn on aura/valor etc),forget the exact numbers as I dont have logs with me. It was also PuP'd and has some Kryat mods on it but could not tell you exactly what they were.
The fight was only 4-5 minutes and I did not run his mind or action out, he got sloppy I admit that. I timed my attack and when he missed a heal and was below 50% on health I KD, timed body hit and head hit all of which Im hitting for around 800-1000 dmg especially when they are knockdown.
But as my original post stated Im still learning PvP (1154) I must have had about 4-5 PvP encounters before this, but hey win lose or draw Im standing and fighting more :-)
I just wanted to say what a good experience it was and take my hat off to a polite player that after fight was curteous and polite not BH-Jedi hate which was good to see in game.
Congrats on the victory.
But did the bh paralyze you at any time? Did he apply a speed debuff? If he was MCM and didn't do that, he didn't get the most out of his template.
Also, kiting requires genuine skill, and some bh's are better kiters than others. Keep that in mind.
