Because this is our last and only hope to get some real changes made. If SOE get to see the accounts they
are loosing, maybe they will make the changes we are asking for. WE ARE THE
CUSTOMERS. We have a right to voice our displeasure.

And btw, all of my accounts are now canceled. I only have the time I had already purchased left on them. My
jedi's account expires June 22, so that will at least let me log in on the day of the publish and see if they
fixed anything. If they have, I will resubscribe. If not...

Oh I forgot to mention why I was leaving the game, and what SOE must change for me to stay.

1. Crystals must must not be rare drop loot only items! They shoule be craftable, and obtainable through quests (notice it did not say OR there). In addition crystal decay is far, far too high.

2. Lightsaber damage is far far too low. XP rate is far too low. LS damage must be raised to about 3x what it is now, without crystals!

3. Not enough skill points in the new trees. Five trees. We need to be able to master AT LEAST 3.5 of 5, not just 2.5. In addition, certain vital skills need to be placed in the padawan box, including, but not limited to:
Force run 1 (just make it WORK)
A weaker, yet useful version of meditate
Basic damage healing of all pools
Basic wound healing of all pools, and battle fatigue healing
    A basic force power
    Some defenses

If all three aren't done, then I'm gone.

Ironically, I agree with you. But I am not threatening to leave or placing demands. I'm just evaluating the game's current and potential fun-factor. It should be about fun too.

I loved this game. I have fully enjoyed it from corpse runs, to taming my first paralop, to... Hell I still stayed when my petsgot nerfed to hell. I was able to stay an MCH throughout my entire holo-grind. Cuz, I still enjoyed taming pets.

But, I am no longer having fun. When a game stops being fun, it just follows that you leave and find something new.

I applaud SOE for designing a game that has held my attention for an entire year. And I have no problem trying out future SOE products. I also know SOE isn't concerned with the few of us that leave when we do, cuz that is inevitable, so I'm not bitter.

I don't fault SOE for the direction they are taking, but I don't see any reward in continuing (according toMY play style).

I won't argue with others that still love this game even after the revamps. To each his own. I was simply answering this thread.

no petitions, no threats, just honest assessments.

Ep,

Lightside Knights?

Counsil elected by the biggest PA's, other players need not apply.

Won't happen(in the long run)...heres why:

Jedi need to stay active to hold their rank, if they dont they are gone. Those of the higher ups will get bored if they just keep their positions, they will start to diminish their play and will lose their places. You'd say the PAs would just throw in another of their people, but they wont seeing as most will have given up by then and stopped playing their Jedi, thus not allowing them to move up(they wont meet the requirements). This means that almost anyone who is devoted enough can move up.

Darkside Knights?

Many competing andmany will not able to enter the ranks, due to play requirements (2-3 times per week), sorry, I have a life that I actually take seriously.

Jedi was for hardcore gamers, thats what the devs made clear at launch, so many people will not enter the ranks due to this.

Many never able to move up cuz, a "normal" player can not defeat a far more powerful and experienced force-PvP player in a duel.

Well, the next rank up wont be much more powerfulthan you are(though they will be stronger). If you plan correctly and prepare well enough you can move up through the ranks.

I keep hearing stuff like EXPONENTIALLY thougher and A LOT STRONGER in all the lit I've read

It was never a question of not wanting to PvP. It is a question about grinding another 6 months for just the chance to PvP for rank. It is a question of non-powerplayers having nothing to show for their money, time, and skillchoices.

Yes, the counsil jedi should be vastly more powerful, but normal overt-knights are a ganker's wet dream? Yeah, sorry, I don't think so.

Well before the revamp I thought seriously hard about quiting for these reasons:

  • Sabers requiring rare looted components that tended to go for millions of credits.

  • Through the tef and visibility system it simply gave Jedi no other option but to level out in the wilderness killing creatures over and over and over again.

  • No content to keep you entertained.

  • Unreal experience expectations per box.

  • Lack of defense.

Now lets look what this revamp addressed.

  • We still require looted components from sabers but this time its color crystals + damage crystals.

  • I still dont have jack **edit** to do as a Padawan but level in the wilderness killing creatures over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. Notice I put alot more overs the reason behind this is that my saber damage was lowered and xp requirements were doubled. So the boring grind got much longer.

  • Still no content for the lower level Jedi. The only Jedi being catered to with new content are the Guardians.

  • Unreal expectations per box turned into **edit**ing unreal expectations per box.

  • Lack of defense was changed to lack of healing, utility, offense or powers if I choose to purchase defense skills.

Seriously the dev's have dropped the ball on this one and I dont see why they should think that we would swallow this and smile back at them. All we did was ask for a more competitive damage type, defenses and content to make the grind funner but instead they decide to multiply the grind by 4 and nerf us into oblivian so that the only thing we can see as a reward is the experience of grinding 33 million Jedi xp in order to be slightly more powerfull than a normal template.

No thanks dev's btw I have already cancelled my Jedi account so there is a definate intent on my part to take my money elsewhere unless you guys decide to get off your asses and fix the things that we have originally asked for and get rid of this stupid nerf mentallity that you have gotten into. I personally dont see how you can expect people to be happy with this pos Jedi character when we werent happy with the original one and thats the un-nerfed one. Get it through your thick heads the Jedi in SWG is a reward character and anything less than a reward is unacceptable.

P.s. I dont remember ever hearing Jedi asking to lose half their abilities, have our damage lowered 1/4 of its original amount, have our Force costs raised on specials and our xp requirements doubled.

SWG Dev's for PRESIDENT!!!!!
They have the two most fundamental skills of an American Politician
Steal from the middle class (Jedi) and give to the poor (veteran rewards starship).
Lying for political favor.

This is another reason to give jedi more skills, and better saber damage. Once a publish 9 jedi takes the
trials, and is permanatly overt, they are doomed... no more taking shuttles, etc. If they do, they will be
ganked, and ganked, and ganked.

They need more power just to survive long enough to try jedi PvP.

I ran around overt all the time in the past(before the 30 second timer covert on loading) and never really had a problem being ganked. If you made your character well(chose good skills for Jedi, know what you are doing) you should have no problem surviving as an overt. If you have master def and/or master healing, you should be able to get away if its too much for you. I see as it is right now you have to choose one of those 2 trees to be able to survive, but you wont go up ranks without them and wont really be able to xp either without one of em.

Borwin:

Excellent post...I highly recommend you trying to get your voice heard elsewhere where folks can see. I doubt anyone of any real influence will actually ever see your post on the 2nd page (and that includes Arjun, who altho does a good job, does tend to ignore this basic complaint re content).

I exactly agree with this also. Which is why I tried to phrase the thread title in a particular way. This is by no means an attempt to bash SOE or say how horrible they are. More of an opportunity for people to just say "This is the point at which the fun has gone out of it for me, and this is why".

Personally, I'm a HUGE Sony fan. I'm writing a message on Sony forums, while playing a Sony game, on my Sony Vaio, while my Sony 54" TV is playing Spiderman (a Sony movie). It's just that this is the point at which I have to say "this far, and no further".

Well I havn't unlocked yet. But Im still working on it.(on 27 now)

I will be cancelling if after the patch if I end up having to do quests for another month or more. Also it doesn't sound like I will even want a jedi after they uber-nerf them into oblivion.

I have been wookiee scince launch and feel I have gotten the sh!t end of the stick from the beginning. BH first holo, bugged missions , no vehicles, whitemarks bh nerfetc blah blah. Finally they came out with the wet paper bag wook armor...Too little too late. I am still gimped in PvP, wookiees are the laughing stock of the GCW -which is quite a far cry from the way that wookiee's were portrayed in the movies/books.

I have already made arrangements for a friend to take over my Mayors account, so they can continue to run the city.

But this account will definately be /cancelled.

There are too many awesome looking games comming out this fall to try to justify paying for empty promises and a broken game.

I will becancelling sometime after publish 9. I will try this new systembut will cancel if it doesnt bring me joy like it did.

1) Skill point cost is to much and cant make any good jedi template's.

2) Jedi will be nomore then anormal profession, they have weaken jedi alot from what i tested.

3)high level mobs kill jedi's easy and no hopes to find loots sololike i should be abledo.

ill watchthe forums for hopes of a better jedi changes and maybe be back when JTLS comes out. if that is any good but having my jedi nerfed it wouldnt be for long till i cancel again Only hopeis that theDevs care aboutthe hard work that it takes to get to jedi and keep jedi a rewarding profession.

I cannot comprehend for a second why the devs think that 1.6 million xp at Initiate is the same as 1.6 million xp at Apprentice.

Initiates are lucky to do 40k xp/hr where I can do 100k, and guardians can do 200k. They are really giving it to the lower level Jedi and I do not think it is fair in the least.

This is going to be the icing on the cake for me.6 months grinding to unlock, 7 weeksto get to Initiate 4333, as Beraka pointed out above, once padawan and flurry, thexp possible more than doubles, and same again at guardian, making initiate by far the hardest part (or longest part) of the current Jedi progression. The fact that I am under 2 months away from guardian 4444 in the current system. To not becompensated for time spent instead of physical XP,getting forced10 steps backwards in pub 9, and having to spend another 6 months grinding before I can take the knight trials and start PVP is beyond a joke. I'm not sure if this is more depressing or infuriating, but I am soo annoyed with this just now that I cant face logging on and grinding. I feel like I've been slapped in the face, no worse than that, kicked in the jewels. So conversion is my reason to quit, the rest I could possibly handle. I'll give it till a few weeks after pub 9
