For a large variety of reason, many many current Jedi (and those working towards Jedi) have stated their intention to cancel their subscriptions if Pub9 goes through without XXXX being changed.

After reading so many posts along those lines, I'm wondering how many people are actually serious about it and not just playing the drama queen.

So if you don't mind, post only if you truly and without doubt intend to cancel your subscription at Pub9 and include the number one single reason why you plan on cancelling. I'd rather we avoid flames and long drawn-out explanations of why pub9 is good/bad, just a simple statement that you intend on cancelling and what the deal-breaker is for you

__________________________________________________________________________

For me, I will definitely cancel my second account. I will play in the new system for 2 weeks with my primary account (that is how long I have til it's time to resubscribe) and then will cancel it also. (EDIT: I will likely resubscribe for JTL just to play a shipwright. If it looks good when that time comes.)

The deal-breaker for me is the depowering of Jedi to slightly better than a normal profession. Everything else (conversion, bugs, etc...) is irrelevant to me if Jedi's strength is nerfed this badly. And I have no interest in FRS or PvP.

I will quit one of my two accounts and make my jedi into a crafter instead.

The dealbreaker here is the depowering of Jedi as well. Had jedi been better i would have wanted to pursue it now it just gives me 2 normal characters per account instead.

Its being nerfed so badly because a majority of players have no interest in PVP, or FRS. But they want to still be jedi, with jedi being slightly better than the FOTM its less insentive to be a jedi, providing the much needed population control. Since it will take you months to grind to be abit better than something that can take 3 days.

Again this revamp is population control to one extent or another.

Why make a post on this board just to be flamed at? If you are goning leave just do it. Tell those in game that need to know, give your stuff away to those who need it and leave.

Seriously, when I started to play on TC2, I thought COOL and was impressed with the level of detail represented in the skill set and the divisions of Jedi abilities.

However, after getting both of my "knight"'s ass handed tothem by surprizingly low-level npc's, my confidence has veered a bit.

After the reset, I designed a "defense" centered jedi and still it takes FOREVER to take down some semi-tough npcs. My other chars on live clean them up very easily. Again, my smile is waning.

Added more loot requirements (more expense to my jedi char), Andkill 5 of my 10 crystals (twins) for what reason?

So far my play has drifted to almost 5 mins or so here and there (and just to ck on harvesters).

I've been in this game for a year. My fav prof, CH, nerfed to oblivion. Pistoleer, nerfed and ignored, BH, nerfed and broken foreva, Jedi--knocked down to a normal fotm-char.

12 months (and $250 spent) of seeking, unlocking, and grinding a jedi, for what? so he will be a little more powerful than a 3-day char. ppfffftttttttttttttt!!!

As is? Yeah, I'll be leaving.

Yadda yadda. I'm just wondering who actually is that unhappy with the revamp and who's just blowing smoke You can't read a thread without half the people saying they're cancelling but i'm just interested in how many people really are.

I.E. does everyone really think it's that bad that it's not worth playing anymore, or are they just really upset and blowing smoke to feel better.

Does it make you feel better to tell people to leave? Does it make you feel like a big person to flame needlessly? This thread was not for you apparently, why did you feel it necessary to make an appearance here?

And if it turns out that a large number of people really do intend on giving up because of some aspect of the revamp then that is useful info for the Dev's. If it turns out that very few really do intend on leaving, that is useful info also.

Oh, and when the time comes that I do leave (whether it's pub9 or not), my stuff goes to the video game graveyard with me

I don't plan to quit just yet, but I cannot deny that I am quickly approaching total exasperation. It seems like everytime I tell myself that xyz change isn't so bad and I can roll with it another comes along. It's like being in a fight and everytime you get hit you tell yourself that it wasn't so bad and you should just shake it off until finally you are on the ground being kicked and stomped mercilessly. You will reach a point somewhere that you can't just "shake it off" and go about your business and I feel myself reaching that point.

The only Jedi that are going to be slightly better than a normal profession are the ones that do not participate in the Force Ranking System. They just gave meaning to PvP for Jedi(huge meaning) and will give some good competetion to make this game fun. If you dont want to compete, then there is no reason to be a Jedi and if being a Jedi is your only reason for being in the game and you dont want to compete, I suggest you do quit. If you participate in the FRS then you more than likely will become exponentially better than the normal professions.

I'm not gonna quit but the only reason is because JTL sounds like it will be good. Not upon launch mind you because I think we all know it will be broken and bugged beyond belief when it hits the shelves. Figure it will take them a good 2-3 months to work the bugs out while we beta test it for them, but then it should be a lot of fun.

As it stands now I have not played my Jedi in 2 weeks. I almost did yesterday but I really have no desire to. I actually would be more interested under the old system to grind out jedi xp. As it is I am 4-3-4-4 initiate and I know it would have taken me awhile to grind to 4-4-4-4 guardian but I could have done it.

The new system from all initial reports it will take a year to get to the trials (I dont want the FRS and I hate PvP so basically I mean to be a master-PvE). This is a year of playing a game, when each session is a 4 hour buff session, a couple sessions a week, doing the same thing over and over and over and over and over. This will not be fun. There will be very little improvement from week to week, and it sounds like it will just be more frustrating.

And then at the end of that year what is the prize? Basically nothing.

So I log in a few days a week to check harvesters and factories having a lot of fun with my small armor business and as it is I cant keep my wares on the shelves. Yea its kind of like a second job logging in just to do that stuff but I somewhat enjoy it and at least there are days where I can log in and be done with what I need to do within 45 minutes. Playing a Jedi as it is you have to devote 15 hours a week to gain any steady ground as it is and its only going to get worse.

I hope JTL is worth it.

After four months to grind out 24 professions and being thankful it wasn't 28-32 like many others and thinking I could take my time with the rest of it (how wrong I was), beginning the long grind up through initiate, initially spending far more time staking out the krayt graveyard rather than actually playing my Jedi... only to lose most of the skills I earned and a six month minimum grind to be no more powerful than a normal profession that I can master in a weekend. Oh, almost forgot, no reward other than being a Jedi, well sort of one since you won't even be a knight if you're not interested in pvp, and no endgame unless you choose to join the frs which will bring out the worst in all involved as it becomes a gankfest.

Thanks, but no thanks. I put up with enough aggravation RL that I have no control over, and I'm not going to pay for another helping. /cancel two accounts.

Ep,

Lightside Knights?

Counsil elected by the biggest PA's, other players need not apply.

Darkside Knights?

Many competing andmany will not able to enter the ranks, due to play requirements (2-3 times per week), sorry, I have a life that I actually take seriously.

Many never able to move up cuz, a "normal" player can not defeat a far more powerful and experienced force-PvP player in a duel.

It was never a question of not wanting to PvP. It is a question about grinding another 6 months for just the chance to PvP for rank. It is a question of non-powerplayers having nothing to show for their money, time, and skillchoices.

Yes, the counsil jedi should be vastly more powerful, but normal overt-knights are a ganker's wet dream? Yeah, sorry, I don't think so.

I havenever really paid much attention topeople who threaten to quit because something didn't go their way.

I have also been one of the Dev's biggest fans because I have always seen logic in their decisions.

With this revamp I can see some logic and understand that a combat revamp is in the works very soon.

But. I see some very flawed decisions. My biggest frustration does not even apply to me as I am an Apprentice. I cannot comprehend for a second why the devs think that 1.6 million xp at Initiate is the same as 1.6 million xp at Apprentice.

Initiates are lucky to do 40k xp/hr where I can do 100k, and guardians can do 200k. They are really giving it to the lower level Jedi and I do not think it is fair in the least.

I am sure the devs will rectify the issues though.

I must admit that I am very worried about the skill conversion. I am currently at 4 3 3 2 apprentice with 1.4 mil xp saved. If I cannot at least Master Defense and get 2 lines of Saber... I will have some decisions to make.

Please don't lecture me about how my expectations are too high because the xp requirements are higher. I know that doing 250k xp per buff session and 450k xp per buff session at guardian, along with the saber tree being a cinch that I was close to my goal.

I will cancel my 3 support account and play with what I will get from the conversion.

No way I continue to grind after the patch 9, so I don t need my dancer/doc bot, my BH to see if I m on the term and my ID/musicien bot.

I will use the one of my guild, since I will play planned session, and not a lonely grind.

Thanks SOE for making me save 45 bucks a month
