Thread: The deal with class 90 (answered here)
To be honest the only way I would do the extra grinding as a new jedi is if I got a different robe than the Obiwan, scabbied hand me down.
Don't fall for this everything is speculation right now as things on TC always change in live.
As a elder grinding out millions of jedi xp (not including BH deaths/loss in xp) I am not really happy about this quest grinding crap (quite sure it will take mos maybe even years to).
This game is all about Rping and the loot now that's it.
Even the Jedi Corr has gotten ifs and maybes.

well... since grinding is pretty much quest based now... then one can assume it is content.
Dont look at it as if I have to grind 10 levels. You never know what the quest will hold for level 80-90. It could be fun... the obi-wan quest was fun, and who is to say that one of the quest might be... going to the enclaves to duel a jedi in front of a audience. All i am saying is that the quest can be, and prolly will be very cool. If they are fun... then its not really grinding.. like getting in a spin group, and clicking spin over and over again.
Besides.. if we all converted full temp.. what would we do? I mean really? what would you do when you have nothing left to do? NOTHING...
it gives us something to do.. while they add more content.......
I can agree with that, if all I have to do is fun quests. If I'm back to kill1000 poisonedpickets to complete Level 86.........I'm going to give the devs the finger.

I've never understood this mad rush to get a completed template as fast as possible, regardless of profession. Just seemed to me that once you spent all your skill points, there really wasn't much to do after that. The content placed in game prior to RotW and now ToOW was buggy at best and downright frustratingly broken at worst. I've always been of the mind to enjoy the game as you progress to the end not this mad rush of "hurry up and wait" that the end game was.
It's one of the main reasons I quit playing WoW. Once you hit 60, all that's really left to do is mindless raid after raid into Molten Core or Onyxia with an massive guild. The exact same crap that ruined EQ for me since I've always hated the concept of the raid and most "uber guilds" are populated with elitist jerks.
Personally, I'm looking forward to doing levels 80-90. I'm very curious to see what's in store for the Jedi with the NGE.

As I said, devs could make a quest that says "You must kill 1000 poisoned Pickets before they overrun our town". The devs can say they removed "grinding" but I'm still out their killing pickets again.
Quests should be fun like the Obi quests (good story, some traveling, combat at the end of the quest). I'm hoping that is what it's like but my experience tells me old habits die hard, devs have a bad habit of making "content" = "grinding"
I guess I should also include this better not be a rehash of the old FRS trials or the Hero Ring. If I have to look for a another Pig in the middle of a desert again I don't think I'll ever be cl90.

No kidding. It's one of the main reasons I hated the skill-based system. This endless running of group missions to wreak genocide on the creatures of Dantooine to grind out xp just irritates me. It's boring, has nothing to do with Star Wars, and isn't fun in the least.

Ok, I will ask what have you been doing since u completed your template now? Not killing pickets I guess? SO, can't you keep doing that in NGE?
What if there's a future expansion that increases the level cap to 100 or 120? Will there be howls of grief then? Don't "grind" then, stay as you are.
What if your 4th gen LS is converted to a 3rd gen LS with no penalty, and when you get a 4th gen LS its actually better! We don't know, and thats the exiting part.
If thats not enough and its still not for you, leave the game & gimme all ure stuff. ![]()

Yea, but guys come on! We have to use a 3rd gen saber! What a friggin joke! Dam.n it I played hard to get that 4th gen saber and now it's being taken away. I have to grind 2+ mil exp just to use the weapon I have now! I have to grind more just to use the powers that I have now! That's pretty crazy.
You know, I made six new sabers yesterday: three 3rd gen and three 4th gen to see how they convert into the NGE when it goes live. You know what? The stats between a third gen and a fourth gen are the same. The only difference is that a 4th gen can hold five pearls/crystals. Big deal.

Heh, the pig was easy to find. Now tracking down that moisture farmer was the real pain the @ss

You're not a very good saber crafter then.
