Class 80 converts to class 80. I believe a lot of people are not really understanding what is going on.
Class 90 brings everybody an additional 10 levels to grind. It is not meant to hinder us.. it is an addition to the game. THe only shortcoming of this is the loss of 4th gen saber until we get to level 86. The good news about this... is not only do we have the new expanison to work on in terms of quest.. but also we have some content to work towards those 10 extral levels. It is game wide, and the newer players are gonna have to do it as well. It will more than likely be some high end questing.. It could very possibly be very well done, and exciting.
So to wrap it up... the 10 levels.. are additional content added to the game on top of the regualr convertion of class 80 to class 80.
Actually no, according to this it's a loyalty reward rofl:
IV. New Veteran Player Loyalty Rewards
We are offering current active characters several loyalty bonus items in recognition of their status in the game community as valued veterans.
• Elder Buff – Increases to combat abilities, this buff can be shared with new players.
• Elder Title – In recognition of your status in the game as a valued veteran player.
• Profession Re-Allocation Option – All characters active prior to the introduction of the new game enhancements will receive a total of 9 re-allocation options or charges attached to their character to allow the player to test out each of the new professions once before choosing the final path.
• Jedi Bonus Items – Power-enhanced Jedi Robe and Lightsaber color crystal and the opportunity to play as transcended blue glowing Jedi character.
• 10 Additional Combat Levels – New combat levels to explore from level 80 – 90.
May I point out that These are not really "additional" levels. If you are already full temp, this is more of a punishment at having to re-grind another 10 levels just so you can have a fraction of the skills and abilities that you already have right now. Like, say, using a 4th gen Lightsaber.
So it's not really (new) levels and (new) content. It would only be NEW if the new levels gave us above and beyond the abilities we had now.
And it's not just Jedi, it's all of the elder players who are getting screwed.
This is why I'm pissed. I agree with all the posters saying that grinding more lvl's is not content. However I can almost deal with that, but thisB.S about having to use a 3rdgen saberis a joke and a slap in the face. We're supposed to be getting avet saber hilt for one of our vet awards? So what it'll be a 3rdgen hilt? Making it worthless after we get CL86?What about my saber now? I have used it since I got jedi. Now it'll be nerfed down to a 3rd gen. Great! What fun!
