Thread: The real grind is not getting full template its getting good pearls.

Krayt spawns have been very erratic. There were some publishes/hotfixes a couple months before the CU that greatly inceased the number of Krayts spawning. That boom was when I got my good pearls.

Had a Commando with 4 flamers, fully macroed to cycle and lay burns on ancients....whilst my TKM mate just /taunted non -stop.
We farmed about 40 flawless in the weeks pre-CU - made some nice money selling them, and good sabers to boot.

Does anyone here actually go out and hunt krayts themselves now rather than just moan?
You may not get instant good tunes but guess what neither did we pre CU!!
Hunt krayts...alot and youll see results after a few weeks of gathering and tuning pearls. Killed 60 krayts on saturday got a few reasonable tunes and a few bad tunes but my new post CU saber is now 405 modded dps, my pre CU saber is 577 modded dps and im jsut 0440 sabers. Ive been hunting krayts for weeks now off and on for myself and guild.
It can be done but it takes effort, it took forever to harvest/buy enough premiums pre cu to build my main saber and itll take the same effort/ cash to build my 2nd one.

I just wondered how many peeps actually bothered to plan for their jedi, or was it a case of respec/double xp attracting a lot more players to jedi. I myself had 10 odd premium pearls and about 3 prem crystals before i even finished the village. I know of players who have grinded post-cu but have near perfect sabers just because they were prepared. Oh and btw, killing over 1000 krayts pre-cu isnt exactly easy/quick.

not true, some jedi got cystals/pearls before they started the grind. i would say thats being smart

it's always been this way, post cu jedi just assume that premiums are a guaranteed perfect tune, which is not the case.

I'm a preCU jedi who finished grinding post-CU and my saber has four premiums in it. Half Pre CU, half post CU. If you all remember, right after the CU krayts were dropping pearls like mad and they were an easily kill. I didn't farm them, but a few guildies passed some my way. Unfortunately, none of my pearls are "perfect" tunes, but I managed to get 703max damage out of my saber. I don't have the time or patience to kill bjorked krayts for 10 hrs or more on the weekends (no time during the week to play really) so I'll live with my saber.
It didn't take farming pearls for weeks to get what I needed before starting Jedi. I took what I could get, and make the best of it. At this point guys, its probably best to not expect pearls to get fixed, and be plesantly surprised if the new FRS isn't a steaming pile of road apples.

Thats because you grinded your full template in 3 weeks with the current system.

Thats because you grinded your full template in 3 weeks with the current system.
Actually I have a life and dont grind for days at a time. Ive been at it for 3 months now and am still 2 branches away from being a completed temp. I usually grind for 8 hours on satudays and thats enough to grind 1 branch.

pre cu : 3 - 4 months for grinding the template,1 month for getting pearls
Post cu : 1 month to grind the temp, 3 -4 months to get pearls.

best thing to do is quit the game for 2 months then when the expansion comes out buy it do a few quests and kill the bosses and then you get the best pearls/crystals
no point killing dragons and npcs for 2 months just to get a average saber lol
