Thread: The real grind is not getting full template its getting good pearls.

Hunt krayts...alot and youll see results after a few weeks of gathering and tuning pearls. Killed 60 krayts on saturday got a few reasonable tunes and a few bad tunes but my new post CU saber is now 405 modded dps, my pre CU saber is 577 modded dps and im jsut 0440 sabers. Ive been hunting krayts for weeks now off and on for myself and guild.
It can be done but it takes effort, it took forever to harvest/buy enough premiums pre cu to build my main saber and itll take the same effort/ cash to build my 2nd one.
In short, there aren't enough to hunt now. Drops were nerfed again due to the smuggler loot being added. And even if you can find them, usually there's a Rifleman already soloing the thing.
There just aren't enough between the loot hunters, the jedi, the sparse drops, and the low amount that spawn. This is why most Jedi buy them now.

goto lok and take missions on the level 78-82 crossiar (sp) npcs
they drop colour crystals, "good" crystals and the captains drop ca's as well plus other stuff
dont hunt dragons for "good" pearls their not worth the time
they also have a very high drop rate on crystals

hehe, ok let me just say before the Krayt boom it took me 5 months to tune enough pearls/crystals to make a useable pvp saber. I can't tell you how man times I pulled my hair out after buying a 5 mill prem pearl that tuned to sub-par stats. The krayt boom was around for a month, my saber really didn't change all that much. A lot of people did get their sabers finally but it was still pretty hard and required groups since 2-3 ancients could spawn in a circle around you. Seeing how they could kill you by looking at your Jedi it wasn't exactly easy to "farm" like people think.
With that saidI spent a ridiculous amount of timelooking for that stupid rare spawn before the one month boom and then when you found one you were extremely lucky to get a prem to actually drop. If they were to make the new Krayt (that drops the good stuff) at the rate of the old Krayts (pre-boom), IMO that would be fair even if you still have only a 1 month grind at most to complete template. But don't think every Jedi was handed a perfect saber, it was definetly earned after months of work for most.

Im glad someone said it. I find this quote laughable.
Ive had my Jedi for 1 1/2 years and I still dont have all perfect pearls.
Trying to Justify your lack of PvP skills with grinding?
O'etam you have some nerve. You call out someone for poor PvP skills when you yourself use the friend db workaround when hunted by a BH. Who is lacking in PvP I ask
O'etam comments regarding having a friend db them while in a BH fight, a tactic I know O'etam to use:
First and foremost. Telling me that this is a lame tactic is irrelivent. Either I lose XP or I don't. Had I fought and killed Jakber I would have gained me the same results as having a frined /db me. So why should I take an unnecessary risk of losing XP? I have no desire to be the content of a BH and could careless about his gameplay experiance. If he wants to collect on me he going to have to be alitte more inconspicuious.
Second, For thoes of you who say Jedi should not act this way and luke wouldnt have obi-wan or yoda kill him to get away from Boba.....This is not the Movies! This is SWG where continuity went out the window as soon as the first Jedi appeared in game. Heres why, The Jedi Order is in shambles we all saw that happen at the end of episode 3. Currently Yoda is the only living Jedi and luke isnt even a padawan yet. I don't recall O'etam Rendar going before the Jedi Council and being titled a Padawan. There are no Jedi! SWG is just flat wrong. Hence my sig. Notice How I title my character USER OF THE FORCE. You are not a JEDI! Just cause you are FS and wield a LS does not make you a Jedi. You have to be a member of the Jedi order and only the Jedi Council can do that which was destroyed a long time ago. Yoda is the only member left and I dont recall him being ingame. Maybe I missed him?
And Finally for thoes of you who say im wrong becuase Jedi Is a PvP profession and I should not avoid fighing. Im Special Forces 50% of my game time, Just not when Im grinding or looting. Which at the time I was doing the latter. Theres no XP loss in SF.
Hate me or Love me I dont care. This is my character and I will play it how I think is permitted by the TOS and User AGREEMENT. (emphasis on how "I THINK") Im in it for my experiance. If a BH is going to take pride in causeing me XP loss then Im going to do my best to not be his content. I dont see what the problem is its one sided if you ask me. I die I lose XP, Jakber Dies he loses nothing. Im not gonna play that game.
