How about if you have force speed on and have no saber or robes on.....or force infusion non-battle but passive force powers....you do not start them in front of the npc however you finsihed battling and drive to the next mission with no saber or no robes but you have force infusion on or force speed and you walk by them?

Also if you are cloaked and walk by an NPC does that give you Visibility?

I hope I made my self clear.

Anything that consumes any amount from your force bar will cause vis. Using force speed and force infusion (the animation) within 32m of nongrouped members or NPC's will give vis. If it is already running before you pass by them you are fine.

Still wondering about vehicles, since we cannot cloak around them because they see us.

Ive wondered about vehicles as well. Since I can even heal my speeder last i checked..lol. Oh, and fighting group members should not give visibility since they are grouped. Seeing the saber close up or far away does not matter for group members.

I have heard a lot of what causes visibility and what doesn't from many people - a lot of which counters what another has said.

I understand the 32 meters rule, but what else causes it?

Does wearing ur robes and having your saber equipted count, or is it just using ur force powers within 32 meters of some one not grouped with you?

Do all NPC's count - or only the ones who can be attacked?

I know this may be a very noob question - so any help for you long time jedi - i would be very thankful

Read through the Jedi FAQ Section 10 on Visibility. Should answer your questions.

With the exception of the part that says group members contribute to vis, as that was just changed in a patch. (need to bug them to update the FAQ on that one)

Equipting or unequipting your robes or saber within 32m of any non grouped player or NPC will cause vis.

No unless your saber sparks infront of non grouped people or NPC's or you use any action that will draw from the force pool. i.e. infusion, aura etc.etc.

All NPC's count. Droids and merchant vendors included. the Wookies on Kash are NPC's (incase some didnt know)

nothing is a "noob" question. We were all in the same place at one point in this game.

Have fun

so is it solid answer having a force passive power such as force speed already active or infusion while not moving your force bar will NOT give vis?

Now cloak uses the force bar so that will give you visibility?

FAQ

Those who wield the Force have many enemies throughout the galaxy. As a Jedi becomes better known, the likelihood that a bounty is placed on their head increases. While the exact nature of whom is spreading this information still remains a mystery, the general consensus seems to be that the more a Jedi uses their abilities where others can see them, the more likely it will be leaked to those who hunt them. When it finally hits the right sources, Jedi beware: the Bounty Hunters are coming.

Equipping a lightsaber, starting combat with a lightsaber and every Jedi action (powers and lightsaber specials) all have a visibility modifier. Each PC or NPC (non-animal) that observes a Jedi performing one of those actions will increase the Jedi's visibility. Wearing a Jedi Robe and tuning a crystal or pearl do not increase visibility.

Do you acrue non-visible time? Meaning, if I start at 0 visibility and stay hidden for a month before killing npcs or animals in while not in a group, will my non-visible time count for anything or will I gain visibility at the same rate as if I jumped right in to base killing? I hope I'm articulating what I'm asking properly. It has nothing to do with time. I know I won't gain visilibily if I stay hidden.

Thanks
