That being said: I don't want to debate wheter the Jedi vs BH system was perfect or flawed. I'm simply stating that 1)we all knew we were going to be hunted when we decided to go Jedi 2)It was possible to avoid PvP.
Calling that forced PvP is like saying that the old tef system was forced PvP. It wasn't. You attack an opp faction npc, you are now flagged. Simple as that.
Oh, I bet it is much much more better for you now, because you can rp a light jedi who lands at imp op and happily kills all the stormtrooper, while the imp players can rp dumb imperials that see a light jedi (or any other profession) killing stormtroopers and do nothing to stop him.. Really immersive!
The event happened becouse of a pair of Kunga popping up in my lair while grinding.
I could not/ignore the player like regular adult entertainment services, he was free to keep harassing me, and he continued to attack most of my friends in a similar manner. I reported the event and the CSRs did nothing.
I took extremely bad to this event, and that's when I first signed up on the forum to discuss about it.
A friend had two brothers attacking her becouse she neglected one of them to be her boyfriend.
Even as a woman I should be able to enjoy Jedi without being "virtually sexually assaulted" by perverted jerks.
I do not care how YOU play, how YOU act or who YOU are or what YOU like to play. The only thing I care about is YOU defending theeseperverted losers.
The system is gone now, and I am finally allowed to play my game in peace, free from your beloved jerks youare defending.
the devs have NEVER cared about ANY veteran player or Jedi for that matter. its only $$$ they cared about. thats why being one of the first Jedi on my server I leftmonths ago to play WOW. since the earliest days of Jedi the devs have done nothing but lie and nerf. you spend 100 mill on something... its nerfed next patch and becomes crap. now they are taking everything we worked so hard for away. all to keep the $$$ rolling in. the way they figure it is they can make more money by allowing EVERYONE to have a jedi making this game completely worthless in the long run and screwing so many people out of their hard work and time put in. they put meaningless system after system in place with some lame promise of an elite profession forcing everyone to chase jedi for months and months only to make it worthless now. I seen this coming a mile away but now its reality and I hope SONY gets what they deserve for wasting so many peoples time and lieing to us for so long.
BTW... since playing wow I can tell you all one thing. they stole the entire concept from WOW. the whole new platform of the "NGE" is nothing more then a ripe-off of WOW. so for all those that said you would never play WOW, guess what? Welcome to WORLD OF WARCRAFT!

Yes it can be, and it'll forever be a problem. i should know, i was here on day one of retail, i was in bestine abot 98% of my time, fighting and killing every **edit** molester date rapist that came into the cantina.
p.s. they made everyone buy an expansions a few days before they announced they were going to completly change the entire game... had to make that money huh....

I am a male and I've been harassed, just in different forms. Guess what? It has always happened, and always will happen. How does playing this new game prevent that at all, you complete dolt? If anything, when you have console players here, you're going to have MORE kids with social problems and disgusting behaviors...what then? Will you ask the game to be changed again? There is an /addignore function in the game, as well as the ability to create tickets. Every time I have had problems regarding other players and behaviors like that, they have been taken care of on the spot. Please. You were offended in-game and have now been on a crusade to 'fix' this game, and this SWG2 is the solution? Just like your sad story about how someone 'harassed' your friend and thus should lead to the removal of BH missions. So if a dancer gets harassed, should we make it so that people can't enter a cantina? We wouldn't want the possibility of anyone ever getting harassed in an MMO, would we! Grow up. dont dare ever compare a woman being harassed equal to a man being harassed. It's completely different, completely. She was referring to being verbally sexually harassed.

the reference was to sexual verbal harrasment. and as he stated, he gets a different kind of harrassment. They have to deal with it everyday. It is different. Sexual harrassment is more detrimental than some other forms. Men do not have to deal with sexual harassment on the scale that women do. Women are judged by their appearence every single day of their lives. It is dehumanizing and basically boils a womans's entire being downto a few choice body parts that men find interesting.
Sexual harrassment is insidious, it colors not only how society looks at a woman, but how she looks at herself and you have the gaul to compare a rude comment from someone to being considered nothing more than a sexual being and someone who does not have any worth on her own. How dare you!
How do you think men would like it if they were valued for nothing more than their ability to appeal to women? If they were not allowed to keep any money that they made or own any land because they were not allowed to own anything outright, everything was the property of their wives? How would men like it if they were refused the right to vote because they were considered too hysterical and emotional to make an informed descision and that if they voted, it would actually be dangerous to the country. How would men like it if they saw women making more money than they do for the same amount of work?
Maybe you should crack open a book and learn a little bit about the women's movement before you open your mouth up and talk about how women have been "screaming" for equality. I am sorry that you feel that opening the door for some women pisses tham off, bu t maybe you would be pissed off too if men had been marginalized for thousands of years. Besides it is best to remember what they say, it is better to have everyone think you are a fool, than to open your mouth and prove everyone right.

Its kinda funny topic, im of the opinion that women should be paid equally as men if they do the same job just as well, that women should get the jobs if they are better qualified, that women should be alowed to vote and be equal to men in all respects.
Women do make more money than men in some fields, they are more likely to get hired to work certain jobs, in the country i live in certain adds even ask for only women to apply for the job, or that they encourage women to apply for the job.
Women have in my oppinion been "screaming" for equality, but only in certain fields, for some strange reasons alot of them still expect men to do certain things, change tires, open doors, pay on dates and so on.
You say women are judged on their apperance every day of their lives, how about men, im pretty sure there is a reason why the amount of money men spend on their apperance is 1 billion $ a year in the united states alone, why would they do that if their apperance didnt matter? why would such things as eye cream for men, haircare products for men and such items one of the quickest rising markets in America.
Basically what your post states is that women and men should be equal, unless its harrassment and it happens to a woman, im pretty sure that the 3150 victims of anti black rasists (1993 data), disagree with you, harrassment regardless of who the hell its against is wrong, but im sure you dont think the fact that the an estimated 10 - 20% of all men have felt sexually harassed in the workplace is as important in this context.
Il agree with you that compared to the estimated 40 - 70% of all women the 20% of men becomes a smaller number, but still just as valid, whether the target is maleor female, ragardless of race, age, apperance, religion, or any other reason is WRONG, and in my oppinion is just as bad and is just as likely to inpact the person later in life.
I actually find your attitude extremely sexist, that 1 year old girl of your, teach her to stand up for herself, i know women who have beat the crap out of men who tried that crap with them, and as far as im concerned the guys had it coming, people are only victims of something as long as they alow themselves to be.

The funniest about all this, is that if a male character had said what MSnil said about being sexually harassed by another player that person would have been the laughing stock of the forums so much for equality.

Must be running out of fuel, went from attacking my whole post to picking sentances. ok, i agree it is a act of violence, against anyone. that i already made clear.
