Well, I read some of it and sounds good and everything.. our sabers is uber actually... the only thing we miss is the Premium Pearls... if we had them we wouldnt complain that much about Sabers is Rubish you see if they was on and the Speed was fixed we would do, damage as normal Sabers in Movie's do... Expect if the Jedi we are handling with is a completly NOOB!

check your post history and you will see what I saw when I did that, you are grinding, you are trying to learn, and now your assuming and being rude....

you need to read the entire thread and see my posts in particular....which use better (more accurate) info, that was just as available to him, he just didn't use it, for whatever reason

go sit in the corner and think about what you did wrong.

Thanks for the help, any tips of finding guides for what each of the powers do and stuff like that? I found a few posts from the search but they werent too good, most were relating to the temps that people were going with. only thing im pretty much looking for now is some listings of the force powers with pros and cons of them so I can kind of work on what I want my template to be from my own judgement not just what people recomend. (sorry to the original poster, ill make a seperate post after this, dont want to side track yours)

Message Edited by insaniac77 on 09-03-2005 04:16 AM

well, basicly for maximum efficiency with powers, you have two choices....just get the cloak tree.....or go all in for powers mastery, there really is no middle ground, as the force mods are distributed throughout all the branches, it would be nice to just pick up the lightening tree, however that would be more form than function as you would be severly limited in damage,

unfortunatly there isn't alot of centralized, easily accessable information with detailsother than what you will find at this thread, see if any of it helps:

That's a nice effort, however that is only YOUR opinion of a template equal to Jedi power. There are many others that are for all intents an purposes equal and these do not equate to 1.5 times the skillpoints necessary for a full template Jedi. Youdevising your own coincidental skillpoint calculation and deciding that it is "the one template that is well rounded" does not constitute a fact.

Oh please. There are NO non-Jedi templates that are equal to Jedi in terms of power. You cannot make a BH template thatis strong in all areas of combat:Offense, Defense, Healing, with only 250 skillpoints.

MBH/MCM? Nope. Very strong in Healing, but weak in Offense and Defense.
MBH/MRifles? Nope. Very strong in offense, but weak in Healing and Defense.
MBH/MCarbs? Nope. Strong in offense, strong in Defense (through crowd control), but weak in Healing.

These are the only viable BH Jedi hunting templates, simply because MBH is requiredto hunt Jedi and the prerequisite skills for the elite masteries overlap BH prerequisites.

You say there are plenty of templates that equal Jedi in power? Please post it here and I will tell you where it is weak compared to Jedi.

Reading comprehension ftw? Take your ever so unnecessarily angry self back to my post and read where I say that other templates which are "for all intents and purposes equal" has to be within 250 skillpoints...

Don't see that there? No, because it isn't. However being under 1.5x the number of skillpoints and being essentially equal is more than possible. Thus negating your point that "the one template that is well rounded and equal to Jedi in power requires 1.5 times more skillpoints?".Shoutingyour opinion loudest does not make it a fact...

For a BH, against a Jedi, Defense doesn't matter....AT ALL....there is only a 100 pt range between min-max for sabers, defensivly, the only thing that matters is your armor, and armor break resistance, and being able to stay out of melee range.

for a BH, against a Jedi, all that matters is Offense and healing.....MBH/MRIF/CM4000 or substitute mpis or mcarb for mrif....superior offense (if youknow the right Equipment, and can afford it...but much cheaper than pearls and it only takes you about two weeks to master your template vs 6 months for the Jedi) AND superior healing.

actually I find the original poster to sadly be forcing the numbers to lie to make his point.

comparing any kind of ranged attack to saber POWER ATTACK is retarded.

crit shot does NOT have a warmup timer. it does NOT consume high amounts of a 2nd ham barto use (good god imagine if using ranged specials actually USED mind... half of the bh/mcm's out there would scream bloody nerf).

The only way to accurately compare saber power attack is with rifleman sniper shot. Its the jedi equivalent attack.

Now you can definetely try and compare saber head hit to critical shot as they are both non-warmup timer and the highest damage modifier (without warmup) from both sides of the fence.

Once you compare those you will notice just how sadly outmatched a saber is.

Oh, and kindly compare a power cell/uberkrayt weapon to your uberpearl saber. Only pre-cu jedi have access to the 100+ damage pearls but every single post-cu bh has access to power cells.

'Foolish boy. Don't you know anything about Fantasia? It's the world of human fantasy. Every part, every creature of it, is a piece of the dreams and hopes of mankind. Therefor, it has no boundaries.'
'But why is Fantasia dying then?'
'Because people have begun to loose their hopes and forget their dreams. So the nothing grows stronger. It's the emptiness that's left. It's like a despair, destroying this world. And I have been trying to help it.'
'But why?'
'Because people who have no hopes are easy to control. And whoever has control has the power'

send me the stats of your carb and ill happily compute them - was just a guess at a carb stat was working off the 500 min damthe proton had.

as for the force cost yes that is allways an issue for jedi - not denying it - i was just trying to point out that the seemingly LOW max dam of a saber doesnt mean its a junk weapon as soo many people think

also not disputing vs a level 80 the rifle is prob better - the saber comes into its own when you take on a high level npc - as i said above level 88 and above the saber gets better

Well just run some figure through a Calc and figures did not look good for pvp, with 8k energy armour! re calc'ed use games skill mods

Leg hit no AB 567 damage

Head Hit no AB567 damage

with KD"" 638 damage

Note that the first 2 moves take about 2 sec's for each strike, ooh the BH/(CM/DOC) has just healed this up is less time, than it took to do!

ok now apply AB and we get!

Leg with AB863 damage

Head with AB863 damage

With KD " "994 damage

That is without factoring in to the maths any AB sliced armour!

And so now you see why we are not happy and that saber used is not that bad really!
