I went to a movie last week. It was "Blood and Gore XIII". I bought the popcorn, a soda, and some ju-ju bees. I sat down and was appauled! There was too much violence! I want my $20 back! I didn't realize that I would be forced to see all the blood and gore! Change the movie for me or I won't watch "Blood and Gore XIV".

I want to be a jedi, without the hassle with the BHs. I want PvP. But I want to choose the time myself.

This is a game, and BHs are ruining my gameplay. Each time I face a BH they have disrupted by play. and usually I die because i am usually in a tough fight.

We know people want to play jedi. And I know many people have left the game unhappy because they want to play jedi but get interrupted all the time.

It has to be possible to be a jedi, without facing BHs all the time they leave the house, because they want to play the game with their friends. Doing missions like Neocris or whatever else this game have to offer!

Also, theres nothing more in the game that creates bad mood between players then the BH forced PvP.

Get rid of it I say.

Yeah but I admit, I even abused it for fun... I did.. it was a cheap way for kills and it would be even more of a mess now with all the BH's and Jedi (See this is a band-aid idea) its to late for this.

If they had kept this in check over timethen maybe-- bringing a tef system like that into a system where servers have 50% Jedi and 30% BH's is just plain dumb now.

It's just to late now...

I admit it was neat to not see any other Jedi but a very very rare occasion back pre-9 , I was happy to see another actully in those times... go figure. Now, I have to admit... I dont want to see "JOJOIDIOTCIRCUSBOY" The Jedi Paddy anytime soon.. *names are killing me too lol*

Holy Hell man --- you are for sure in the wrong game... so far you have just described everything Jedi is not in this game and yet your one..

Either your being funny and I missed that part or you are some sort of Satist (being that your doing exactly nothing of what you just said) -- OR your just plain stupid.

Im sorry this one is a call it as I see it and man--- Why are you in this game as a Jedi????? You knew what this was about (Or Id like to think you did , unless of course in 2004 your said, "Hmm I feel like punishing myself in a game I pay monthly for"...

Who's point are you trying to make here? If "Blood and Gore XIIII" loses money the chances of "Blood and GORE XIV" getting made at all are slim. The producers are going to go back to the drawing board and try to figure out why current audiences didn't like their film. The next one will refelct that or it won't many any money.

A better comparison would be The TV Show West Wing. The show was conceived to be about the staff of the President. The actual character of the President was supposed to be sparingly used and in fact the lead in the show was suposed to be Rob Lowe. In fact the initial episodes proved that that idea wasn't going to work. Their audience wanted to see Martain Sheen as the president. They could have said "too bad, watch something else" and the audience would have happily done just that. They chose to listen to their audience and adapt the show to match the viewers desires their success proves it was the right decison even though it did lead to a contact dispute with Lowe and his departure from the show.

I know my post doesn't have much merit. I became jedi just a few days ago. and yes, I was aware that NPC's would cause me vis. However, I didn't realize the consequences. I was hoping to be able to do the Vette, NK, Avatar etc with my guild members. And now I realized I can't if I don't want to get on the boards. Mind you, my CL is only 40 right now. Yet, to be able to do this stuff with guildies, I feel like I have to die to be able to enjoy the game. I am accepting of my fate. I won't give up more than 0040 Dancer, and yes, my CL will still be 80,but my abilities will be limited, and thus I expect to die a lot. But to limit my play to only lairs out in the middle of nowhere, just because I'd rather not have vis?

I do not do anything special with my powers. And I don't even care to run around in my robes or anything, I just wanted it for myself, not to show off. But I can't even use it .

You, my friend, have no place to give your opinion. In the beginning everyone was told there WOULD BE A WAY to stay off the terminals. Pre-Pub 9 when many of us unlocked all we had to do was kill the creatures and we would be fine.

The problem here is that the Dev Team has coded this game so horribly bad that NPCs are spawning on top of Jedi during CREATURE LAIRS.

This is not the chance you take as a Jedi, this is the chance you take by playing a badly coded game and for you to whine or otherwise complain to try and rationalize a system rife with broken game mechanics, is pretty pathetic from someone who is a CORRESPONDENT and is now FLAMING A PROFESSION

Okay, first of all for anyone who hasn't figured this out yet... Tanks has a Master Powers Jedi

We all clear on that? He's got 2 BH, a Jedi, a shipwright, and probably a few other toons as well. Do you honestly think someone with enough free time to be a corro wouldn't have ground out a Jedi by now?

Secondly, he's not flaming your profession you twit. He's trying to improve it. Here's the deal and you have two choices:

Choice A) Jedi is super easy, but not very powerful

Choice B) Jedi is super hard, but very powerful

Tanks wants choice B, as do many veteran PvP Jedi. If you read the choices correctly, you'll see that Tanks actually wants Jedi to be made into a better profession.

Other people want choice A. It's opens the class to the most amount of people, but in return it eventually waters down the class to a glorified swordsman/doc. Because this choice seems to be the most popular, yes, given time I'm sure we'll see NPC vis removed. As a consequence, you are only going to see more nerfs to your profession.

I can only speak for myself on this one. The hardest part for me as a veteran Jedi is being in this "limbo" state where we seem to be waiting for some kind of decision by the devs as to whether it will be option A or B.

I can appreciate that access to a finished template Jedi is much easier now than it was, and that the reduction of risk/effort has brought with it a decrease in our strength. This was not always the case though, and having it easy and watered down was not why many of us chose to be a Jedi. We chose it for the challenge, and the promises of rewards for completing that challenge.

I do not want to see the reward for mastery of the Jedi profession reduced to a second charachter slot and a class with unique appearance/animations but average in regards to performance.

I once heard a Dev say that he felt the sole reward for unlocking and completing the Jedi grind should be the privelage of playing a Jedi, and that a player Jedi should be equal to all of the other professions.

If that is where we are headed then I want to get off of the ship, because that is not the destination I was promised.

Almost every reply of yours is play your alt, you sound like a scratched 45 bud!

Actually it's not, however many people throughout this thread have stated the same, because it is true.

And i have only pointed out the obvious, if your "alt" is so much more powerful than your Jedi, why would you bother taking your Jedi to the boss loot places ?

This may be the underlying complaint that they have.

Why is their alt more effective atm than their Jedi?

Why is there a downside to playing a toon that does not have a corresponding upside?

Why are BH the only combat profession rewarded with profession specific content for a template that takes a week at best?

In other words why did they have to grind so long for a toon that gives them less play options and effectiveness than a normal profession?

well said!

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.
