And I bet both regions would be happy!
tiggs.. you know it would boost the economy if tailors or even de's to make a similar verson of these... so this way it creates a cash flow for crafters... people get what they want... and everyone is happy... now just if the goggles we can craft are slightly different but almost as cool at the SE ones... we will be happy...
and have it so we have quests for the items too... buty make it so crafters are the ones who can do the quests to keep the combatants from selling the items to crafters at millions of credits...
just my 2 credits worth
Didn't get the offer, didn't get the opportunity, ... didn't get them.

So we don't get them?
Why not just give EVERYONE the chance to get some eyewear in one form or another.
I know that may be a big shock to think about, but it just might work.
Let's see, the Japaneese SE owners want the goggles the US SE players have, and the US SE players want the goggles the Japaneese SE players do.
The vast majority of players of both countries who don't have any eyewear at all would take whatever they could get.
Let's not pretend any of these goggles (like anything in the game) actually exist. They aren't "in" those limited boxes, they exist on servers and can be replicated indefinately.
I understand not wanting to PO owners of the SE's by giving the same exact goggles as quested or craftable items, but it makes no sense that for more than two years the only people who get any sort of eyewear are those that pay you more money. I actually have the SE on one of my accounts (from when it went down to $25 on Amazon), but still think it's silly we can't get some eyewear in-game for everyone else.
I'm a bit tired of the Dev team/community managers/whomever pretending that the REAL sky would fall if you just did something nice for us. Are people getting some frickin' goggles gonna break SOE/LA's bank? Will it kill the real-life stock market? Nope, it would just make many players just a bit more satisified with the game, something which I think you are always in short supply of around here.
So how about the Dev team just gives tailors some eyewear to make? Problem solved, no?

Thanks in advance.
PS.: It would truly be great if you could introduce the Japanese goggles to US customers as quest rewards and whatnot and the US goggles to Japanese customers as the same. That would truly be a nice reward.

I do as well! Seems to me like every other mmorpg gets goggles/glasses.
Now give ppl other goggles, I don't mind, like the japanese one, but the goggles we have now is a sign you are a veteran in-game, so if everyone runs with them, it wouldn't mean anything anymore. Yea i know, some ppl sold their account, at the same time it's against the EULA if you remember...
So, don't give my SE Goggles to any noob out there, or pay me back my $180...
The product is actually fairly widely available. Not rare but certainly not everywhere.
Mainstream retailers have them.
However none of them will ship software to the United States. Even called one and got an English speaking rep who said it deals with privacy/import/export laws in regards to digital entertainment.
Superb.
