Well I actually dislike the fact that there is not a single set of goggles for users without the special edition. Also whats the point in making japan only items? if you for any reason have to restrict that stuff make it vet rewards, but I guess alot of people including crafters would be happy about craftable variants.
sometimes I just don't understand you people at Sony.

Why on Tatooine would this make any sense? If there's any content or enjoyment or satisfaction to be had in SWG, already coded, release it to the customers. How retarted to spend the time to develop something, while other things suffer, and just release it to a select number of servers.
Give me a break.

ummm.....I don't think it's too difficult to see that that was already known......the request was that they be made to work with non Japanese servers.....now...this is a problem...ya see...you didn't read his post....then you went and "checked into it" only to report back what was already known.....you multiply that times everyday and thats why thereare such major communication issues......if you had instead forwarded the request that japanese se goggles be claimable on regular servers to the appropriate persons, and reported back that you had done so.....then you would be doing the community a service. as it stands you didnt communicate anything to anyone..../thumbsdown

Oh yeah, truely lame. Not one mistake is left untouched. I suppose if the game developers and marketing directors were cluless of the communities wishes this would be the exact implementation that would be seen in relation to visual enhacements for characters.

which is not to say that these only appear on japanese servers. CSR-ChrisG on radiant wears the second one (the single-eye deal) when he appears on radiant, as do several npcs. the code is there on all servers, it's just a question of enabling players to access the content.

Care to explain why CSRs and NPCs in the game wear them then? Maybe you should look into this again Tiggs. These ARE available on non Japanese servers, someone has just made the CHOICE to make them unavailable.
I second the Rypht's statement though. We were all promised future benefits of purchasing the SE and have yet to see a single item/benefit implemented. It's yet another in a long line of things promised but not delivered. One of these days you guys are gonna have to pony up and right these wrongs.

From a marketing stand point this makes absolutely no sense (other than to get loot junkies to buy their digital crack). Don't segregate your fanbase/players.

The Japanese goggles have art, and they work properly in the game.
Converting them for everyone else should take about 2 seconds.
Of course, they won't do that, but it would be easy to do, and nobody would be upset about it.

First, this is totally unfair. Collecter's Edition owners should have all goggles. If not, then we should be able to by the Japanese Special Edition to expand our collection.
Second, can anyone who owns the Japanese Special Edition and plays on United States servers confirm that they personally have registered the Japanese Special Edition for an account on a U.S. server and been able to get the Japanese Special Edition goggles? Please only confirm if you have personally tried this and it worked.
