Can my existing toon wear goggles ???
for egsample if i get the special edition and instal it on my pc , or will i have to make a new toon using the special edition key and only the new toon will have goggles ?

Yes, they can. You just need to add the serial number from the Collector's Edition to your existing account and you'll be able to /seGoggles in-game to any of your chars in that account (normally one, two if you're jedi padawan or above).
Goggles should be a normal item craftable by Tailors or maybe available as Quest Reward.
At least I would support the idea of making goggles available to all players and give the Collectors Edition Players an other cool item.

What bothers me about that is that indicates that the Japanese have access to the expansion, or were offered to test it, and we weren't.
Of course it's just as possible that those are SOE's internal testers, and they just have the monacles because they look awsome.
If something special or rare is freely available, how desired does it become? Not very. Take the Tusken clothes as a good example.

I checked into this and they are an exclusive item for our Japan family only. If you purchase the Japanese Special Edition box then you can claim the goggles on the Japanese servers only.
how easy and how cool would it have been to have those as two year vet rewards????
before the two year vet rewards came out I would have said eh...I bet they have something better up the sleeves for us launch day vets...
then the two year vet rewards came out and they were junk...now with lowered expectations from SWG those would have been awesome as two year vet rewards.
WHY, WHY, WHY????
I paid an extra 30$ for the SE box back in September 2003... that was my 3rd account already, because I was so envious of those goggles. The "Art of SWG" book is collecting dust on my shelf, and all the other crap is still in the box. I essentially bought it for the goggles... like many others did.
We were told we would be given more perks for purchasing the SE box. We got nothing.It seems you are just like cell phone companies: neglecting your current customer base in favor of signing up new subscriptions (e.g. the whole BARC fiasco, now these japanese goggles...)
I now ask:
- WHY have you decided to prevent former SE owners from getting the new Japanese SE box goggles? Do not give us your generic "this is how it is" answer, TELL US WHY!!!
- What are you losing by giving us the Japanese goggles? Nothing! Seriously, you surely cannot hope on new revenue by counting on American and European players to buy the Japanese SE Box??? That is ludicrous!
- The SE Box here is not available anymore... and if it is, it remains overpriced. Why not create a special Digital Download "Collector's Pack" that you could sell for 5-10$, which would contain the original SE gogglesand these ones? I for one would buy it for my 3 other accounts that do not have the goggles. You get your $$$, we get the goggles we want, everyone is happy. You could even plan a whole line of new exclusive non-tradeable items every month or so for the DDCP owners.
See? I'm not flaming, I'm suggesting solutions which I'm sure many would love.
But first, tell us WHY you took that decision...
