you right he does have the right to go camp nyax...
the problem lies thus: why the hell is there one source of regular and predictable high end loot in the game that's a static spawn....
now if SOE announced this in a publish....
New immensely powerful enemies have been spotted wandering the planets (non static) to best them in combat will be a mighty challenge but with great victory comes great reward...
and remove all high end loot from static spawns
try camping a random spawn....

Never underestimate greed. The Devs need to realize that no matter WHAT they do, people are always going to find a way to bastardize and exploit their good intentions.

The FS quests were a VERY good first step towards destabilizing the loot hounds stranglehold on high-end loot by giving people willing to grind +12 speed free, but there has to be a LOT more done until everything's on an even playing field.

Besides streamlining the way saber loot is obtained (PAST just making it easier for the uberlooters to get it, in turn SOMEWHAT lowering the prices), FS Experimentation needs to be altered so it WILL give crafters only ONE extra general experimentation point at the fourth level, making only +10 required to become a 12-pointer instead of +20.

A. So who was the target of the original poster? SOE who implemented into the game such hammers (let's say each server has around 20 of them) or players who use them? I was responding to the second option. If first one - look on WS top 5 issues. There have been always that "remove 2000+ hammers, this is ridiculous". But SOE wants them for some reason. And if SOE wants smth. - better not to spend time on crying.

You are right, the only thing to do with that is player's etiquette and greed. Sometimes I met ppl who are so nice they will leave your juv and the wholespawnif you started it, sometimes they are free to steal giant from you when you did half of the blue line already (and there are hunderds of those everywhere now). Some ppl are good, others are don't. That's not a matter of vet/newbie.

Again if the problem of original poster is to make some money this is plain stupid to try to make those on Nyax. And why in the end? there are hundreds of ways, and they are not even closely connected to afk camping. I saw such guides on this forums. Prolly I can make one myself, never was in guild and did everything myself from the first penny to the current state, so I have some ideas to share.

B. And this is exactly what I wrote.Yes, he must be 12pointer chef to create customer base. And I proposed the way how to make money for that 12 points.I'm sure it's gonna work.

but you gotta admit random spawn are a better solution than static

It's like when the black sun appeared as random spawn and were dropping BH armour 1/3 (a bugI thinkthey wern't supposed to spawn outside of the bunker at all)...

but as they weren't static all sorts of player we getting pieces of the BH armour

I myself was jetting along on Yavin and ran into some, killed em and got a BH helmet and a pair of boot, not a camper in sight that day ..

Thats just it. As long as people can camp, they will. If you instance POI's and have a re-entry timer as well as having random spawns you will fix the camping problem.

It's just a matter of whether SOE/the Dev's feel its worth the effort.

Well got through to about the second or third paragraph before your whineing started to make my head hurt. I agree it sucks that some people can sit there and grab the loot, but I pay my 15.00 a month as well, and I WILL PLAY THE WAY I WISH TO. If that means I am AFK or if I am there, its none of your FRIGGIN buisness. Quit crying. And thatgoes for the rest of you out there too.

If you're AFK, it's SOE's business:

Excerpt from Section 7 of the EULA:

"You may not decrypt or modify any data transmitted between client and server; you may not use or distribute macros or other programs which would allow unattended game play or which otherwise impact game play."

Instanced dungeons ... just go Play Elder Scrolls of Morrowind or NeverWinterNights instead if you want a whole dungeon to yourself

Removing /autotarget .. would mostly just hurt people who macro worthless spawns ... something that saves marriages and gives handicapped players something harmless to do.

It's so freaking simple the dude should not spawn in the exact same place every time ... DUH! That way you can't be afk killing it all night, nor can you perma own it every with your billion dollar ADK'ed game breaker.

Woot for teh rich

The quote from above post is reffering to completely unattended 3rd party programs lol not in game macros..even with in game afk macros if your not there at least every 3 hrs ur gonna die when buffs run out..or else we wouldn't have macros...and if they wanted us not to be able to sit afk..they would remove /ui action cycleTargetOutward, or /loot, or /tar corpse... As someone else on this thread stated..I pay my 15 a month (30 actually) so i'll play any way I see fit, and it's none a ur business....and fyi I used to be a new player with 1k credits..now I'm semi rich (or was till i went shopping lol). It ain't hard anyone can do it, so stop whining and spend your time more constructivly finding ur own method of making creds..if some afk'er is outdamaging you, it should encourage you like it did me to make myself better so that I could outdamage him..or to group with someone so that together he could be easily defeated, not whine and cry and give up.

oh and btw like that other guy said..YOU ALL SOUND LIKE COMMUNISTS!!!

I'm glad some one said it!!

Yes,POI campers are a problem. Yes, SOE can and needs to fix it.

But come on, it is easy to make money in this game if you are willing to work at it.

Every other MMO made high end loot

A Obtainable through keys in chest or something like that with a high level of unsucess or

B Made it only so people in hella guilds can get it.

The wandering spawns for high end loot is awesome. It will not matter because there is always an exploit in the "new" content because testcenter is either

A Composed of noobs that say only positive items so as to keep their TC status

or

B They do not listen to TC feedback.

This has been the issue since day one and still is not fixed even with my 8 month hiatus. I am the last in my guild in game now and the revolving door will continue.

We have been promised a combat revamp for 13 months plus...just grind until you are tired and go to EQ2 then WOW..etc. Until the guidelines are actually enforced it will be lame and flameable.

Well this is a touchy issue. You are venting some pretty valid arguments. However I think you arent looking at both sides, only your own discomfort. I have read a few replies and think that most people have the right idea.

Someone said something about playing the game for months and still being poor. There are many factors that make this true. The rich did not start out rich. They started out with a shirt, pants and a survival knife. They found a way to make that money to begin with. I started out as a master scout / master marksman and still couldnt do crap. The reason is obvious. SoI changed my goals in game. I became a master Architect. I made 7 million credits in about of months time. I spent alot of that money on buying houses, and uniforms for my entire guild. My next profession was BE. I probably brought in about 500k creds in the time I was that profession. It was fun but not a money maker for me. So then I tried the combat side and went fencer. Was fun. I started getting loots and making good money off of 31k mokk/janta missions. Then the solo mission nerf came. This is where all my millions of creds just kinda vanished. Went from rich to poor. So I take up swords/doc. A great tank to do what I wanted in the field and doc brought in money fast. Not to write my whole in game life story here... but I am trying to get a point across that there is something you can do to be rich and to have money. Someone was complaining about their profession not being good enough... well then... try something else. Thats why this game gives you the option to choose your skills and change them whenever you want.

Now dont get me wrong. Im not saying that its right for someone to sit and loot and loot and loot only to get richer and richer. The AFK looting situation can be cleared up easily by having random spawns for these good loot spots. Someone said that they would set up a gank squad and go kill the afk looters. I think that would be more fun then trying to get the loot I was after in the first place! If I was an AFK looter and everytime I came back I had a clone activation screen up... I would not afk loot anymore.

Combat macros are nice as one person stated they were outside of a city killing little gnorts and nuna's or whatever. This is no different from a crafter setting up a crafting macro. Its the same in both worlds. So see last parapragh and grab a gank squad to end thier afk killing if it bothers you.

Crafters do have much much more of a need for space than someone who does combat. A person who does combat needs little space for his 'combat bag of goodies' but needs lots of space for loot items. A crafter needs little space for the componets to craft but needs tons of space for the crafting resources, especailly ones that dont stack. Placing a vender would even this up but that is the last thing you want to spend your valuable skill points on if you dont have business/merchant skills already. Perhaps something added to amaster crafting class allowing your character to place a 'mary poppins bag' that only you may access and only resources from your crafting abilities would be allowing to be transferred in (if you were architect, then resources would be allowed to transfer, but no loot items, armor, weapons, etc.) Or just give back the ability to store items in a crafting station without it countingwould work too I suppose

Gaining a shuttle is all about timing. If the devs let everyone have one I think it would mess with server stability or something along those lines. Although the planet caps are just about full and the chances of even placing a new guild and having a shuttle someday is almost hopeless, something needs to be done here. What happens in a year when all the same guilds are up and perhpas we have another years worth of players in game... they will never have the option of starting up their own guild and having a shuttle just because they didnt buy SWG earlier??

People who buy and sell to become richer are just the smartest merchants in the game. You cant tell me that if you saw a some RIS armor selling for 100k credits (even though that wouldnt happen even if we were in la-la-land) you wouldnt buy it and sell it for the 60 millionish its worth. You dont have to agree with it but I dont see anything wrong with it. That is all between the seller and the buyer. I was told today that someone sold a basic crappy survival knife for 500 creds. They probably took advantage of a noob but nonetheless.. if they can live with that on their conscience, then they just made 500 creds for an item thats worth next to nothing.

I am done here and I hope I opened some eyes rather than enraging someones closed mind

Sure you can play this game the way you want, but you must keep to the end user agreement. AFK playing is not allowed.

Period.
