Ill attampt to kill steal anyone of the opposing faction that I can. On the other hand I wont do that to an Imperial. I have even asked other imps that were doing this to imps not to. They usually do it but ya can tell they would rather not..

This is a Galatic Civil War ya know. Who do people only think that only means PVP ano nothing else. This should be enforced on an economic front as well. Why let the enamy get the better weapons to kill you down the road with. If you have chosen to stay a civilian I am sorry. But ill also offer to grant them enough faction to join the Empire free of charge. And they will never have to worry about me KS'ing again..

I think you've confused "roleplaying" with "being a pratt."

Do it EQ2 style, or make the dungeons instanced, or make the rare static npcs like acklay and nyax spawn in a random area of the dungeon.

Problem solved.

I'd love to see their instanced dungeons/mobs used in SWG. (Example: The Corvette.) It works great, there's zero pressure to find a hunting spot, there's no risk of KSing...

cry more n00b, there is no such thing as kill stealing, i dont see YOUR name on the krayts, night sister, ect. ect. if some thing spawns i will go up and kill it weither or not some on is already is attacking it already, juss the same as i eccept some one too come up and attack some thing i am already attacking its all fun of the game and seeing who is gonna win the "PvE duel".

The one phrase that comes to mind when I read this post is "I know you are but what am I" Thats how childish this whole post sounds..An sadly these are the exact same kids that run around with 900 damage power hammers and are speed capped I personally dont agree with the current system which works in a odd way from what I understand.

example:

A group consisting of 5 people kill a mob. While fighting they see a rifleman comes up and use his 10m credit T21.

group member 1 did a total of 11k damage
group member 2 did a total of 20k damage
group member 3,4 and 5 each respectivley do 8k damage roughly

Kill Stealing Rifleman comes up and does 21k total damage .... Loots the corpse and recieves nothing but some armor shards but decides to say " WOOW HOO 1200 condition PREMIUM...Im the L337N3SS"

This needs to be addressed and FAST. As far as locking on mobs...Works for me... If Im to dumb to make the SAME macro that he has or fall asleep waiting then I dont deserve the kill. As far as people running around supposedly aggroing 6 krayts and dragging them back LOL that is the funniest thing ever..In some instances it might happen with a few krayts possibly(never with a nightsister or gorax ect ect) but I could not see that being half the problem as what I posted a example of.

I love some of the juvenile talk around here, warms my heart.........

Eclipse really doesn't seem to have much of a problem with KSing, but we do have a major camping problem. That's been pretty well addressed, because it does sortof tie in.

Here's a couple of examples that happened to me, just in the last few weeks.

1. I fly to the Blue Leaf Temple, had never been there. Nobody was there, when I got there, full spawn. So I start fighting my way in. Kill everything outside, and only have two left on the inside, and just as I start in on those two, some other idiot runs in behind me, and loots the boxes. That's happened to me on a couple of occasions, in different dungeons. I'm fighting away, and I see another dot on the map. Just as I clear out the worst, that guy runs in and loots the good stuff. As far as I'm concerned, that's wrong. If you want the good loot in the stashes at the end of the dungeon, either help me fight, or wait for the next spawn.

2. AFK camping, but slightly different. I'm just starting swordsman, so for my first couple of boxes of 2h, I go to Cnet, and look for spawns of Meatlumps. I find a spawn that gives 155xp (small, but when you only have an axe and no skills, it gets you there), and start fighting. I'm in the middle of three Meatlumps, some guy walks up next to me, says he's gonna grind out TKM, and goes AFK. As soon as he did that, all the spawns started attacking him, and since he had more skills than I did, he got all the kills, effectively stopping me from getting any more XP. I wound up quitting for the night, as every other newbie XP spawn was being camped by at least one person, at every location I tried. That guy ruined my gameplaying for the night.

3. For the guy who said "It's a GCW after all" what the heck does that have to do with killing Woolamanders? And last time I looked, krayts don't have any faction affiliation.....but that makes it ok to steal the kill and loot from somebody else. Amazing. How about we take that one step further.....I'm a doc, and a Rebel. How would you feel if you were standing in line for a buff, and I just randomly decided not to buff you, "because you're an Imp, and it's a GCW". People sometimes forget the difference between PvP and PvE, I guess........in that regard, I'm thrilled with the new patch. I got tired of coming back to a shuttleport, or Nym's, with a TEF from fighting NPC imps, and getting capped by some Jedi standing there waiting for a TEF to walk by, or worse yet, getting TEF'd healing somebody in a SP, with Master Doc on, and no armor or weapon equipped, and getting killed by some idiot who didn't know how to control his trigger finger.

I agree with the loot-locking idea, and I'd suggest a further step, to prevent camping too.

Lets say, taking someone else's example, you decided to sit at Nyax to wait for his spawn. You just got there, hadn't killed him yet. However, there's three or four other guys camped there with uber weapons, who've just killed him, and are camping him out for more loot. When he spawns, the guy who just got there should be the one with the kill.......how? Easy. If you attack and kill him once, fix it so you can't kill him again, until you leave the POI, and come back 15 minutes later, or fix it so you can only attack him once every three spawns. That way, you can't camp him, and everybody else gets a chance for the XP and loot. And for the guys who like to loot the stashes in dungeons while sombody else is doing all the work to get there, you should get nothing, unless you actually attack an NPC.

Being a Master Swordsman, Irefuse to be a tank for anymore for Riflemenor anyone thatcan ks from me when I am engaged in battle. All I do now is drag the mob to them, say here you go have fun! and go on my way. Saves me unnecessary wear on my armor and provides me with a laugh when they go scampering away

yeah but you are only thinking in a sense of one mob...im talking about a land filled with mobs and people still feel the need to kill steal...just because "they can" because they have a high damage weapon that they either exploited or got lucky to get....

you are talking about one situation...you are still camping a spot which is not good when it is ONLY ONE MOB...like all else if you want it bad then dont doze off....but any person should have a fair chance at a mob.... not just person who decides to sit there and wait for it...but the problem entails is ONE PERSON with a high damage weapon who can outdamage say a group of 4 people which i have seen it done.... take the loot away from the ones who were already there and already working on it...and yes they do need to add more akley spawns so that crap doesnt happen as that is a whole another situation that needs to be fixed...no ONE MOB should be in game that gives stuff like that...there should be many....

as for the other kill stealing moron...well big guy you say all you want... but this would take away your fun i guess because you are a measley little pimple nosed kid who thinks being rude to others online hiding behind a computer makes you feel better... go ahead but i am here to improve the game and not kill it like you....

as for the multiple mobs simple as in FFXI or EQ2.... that are on you... basically you have to kill fast but what are you worried about...if you got armor they arent going to do much damage to you...you kill them off one by one...if somebody comes to pull some off of you then so be it...but nobody is going to touch the mob you are on...so you are guaranteed at least one mob and thats the one that is on you..instead of a rifleman with a massive damage rifle strafe shot them all and you get very little xp....

as for the comment if i like EQ2 so much then why not go there? well i dont like EQ2 dude why do you think im here? duh.... i dont like FFXI either... but however in many games i like certain ideas doesnt mean that because i like an idea i have to go play the game...NO...but games always have better ideas that can improve another.... SOE is the same company as EQ2 so i see no problems with them sharing and using same ideas.... this will improve SWG... and maybe chill the immature ones as some of the ones in the replies of this thread...

Ok first my story. I am a doc/swordsman that was at the krayt graveyard and was KSed by some jedi, to remain nameless. So I added them to my friends list with a little note about what they did. A few days went by and I seen them at the graveyard again, this time with more jedi and guild members. So I waited and just as 3 or 4 dragons got on them I drove off and attracked as many dragons as I could (was 4 or 5) and pulled them right on top of the little buggers. You should have seen them all start running for their lives. I did feel bad for the innocents that I affected but I got my revenge. I was thinking, you want my dragon here have a whole family lol.

Now for anyone getting KSed at krayt graveyard, you can take my method or look at other parts of the planet like I did also and find other spots where they spawn. they are out there.

I hate KS as well, and its happened to me on more than one occasion - But that is considered griefing while KS is not - sucks I know but why risk your account?

The main issue i have is not the KSing its the creeps that log in when the loot boxes in a cave spawn and i am 1/2 way through the MOBS to get to the container or pile of bones etc. And when i finally get to the end of the cave they are (LD) and only the crap CDEF stuff is left for me !!! NO ONE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO LOG OUT AND IN at a POI they should default to the nearest npc or player city !!!

The acklay is awful for logging whores. One guy in particular does this and it is really sad. As fo KS there shouldn't even be a discussion, they should use the EQ2 system.

Actually I was told that it is not griefing since I was just riding my bike around, not my fault the dragons attacked them.

I call BS at this point, how could you not love the Taru dance? I laughed myself silly every time I saw one of the little people do it!

Oh yeah, mob locking ruled.

#Edit# My god - someone must really have taken offense at the Taru dancing... nice to see you have the balls to qualify that though. Last time I try and add humour into a thread. #End Edit#
