Keev, either use the /gallop command, either go to your available commands (CTRL+A) in the "other" tab, and drag and drop the Gallop command to your quicktoolbar 
that works for any mount btw

Soo I took the time to evaluate the fairness of the trade and have come to a much diffrent conclusion..
Rarity
first the DDL incentive i beleave is over .. so new varactyls being introduced into the community will stop sharply . even if you can still get the DDL version with the incentive.. The total experience has replaced the original shelf item so in the future any new commer will have a barc with them thus introducing many into the community until this package is replaced with a new expansion package of the like (which I assme will be well over a year b4 another compolation package needs to be made).
Functionality
Obviously the barc is faster then the Varactyl (but just as fast as a common swoop) however it can barly be used in places like kash, The Varactyl Is a super fast pet mount, no other pet mount can compair to it "not by a long shot" and it can roam most area's of kash. the Varactyl also has no maintence fees and is safer to have out when travercing area's where spawns like to take out what your riding.
Coolness
Both are pretty kewl this is about the only reason i wanted a barc as far as vehicals go it is the coolest.. BUT ... same can be said for the Varactyl it is also the coolest as far as ridable pets is concerned so these draw about even to me.
Lets evalute now.
For rarity: over time the Varactyl will be much more difficult to obtain. Varactyl wins this catigory..
For Functionality: other then speed comparison between the 2 Varactyl wins again its just more diverse..
For coolness: Both are uber cool so I call this one a draw.
Tabulate the score and the Varactyl wins 2.5 to the Barc's .5
So in closing I just dont see how my offer could be considered unfair when realisticaly Id be ripping myself off..
However thats is only my opinion and the reason I made this post to see what others think. and to make sure my thinking is not off the wall.
You forgot 1 very important thing, good sir. ANYONE can get a BOLOTAR, which is basicaly a Varactyl. People w/ the BARC can go get a Bolotar and have the best of both worlds, while people with a Varactyl are stuck w/ just another pet thats not that different from teh one they already have. That fact throws everything you mentioned earlier out of wack.

Nice idea but there is a major flaw with it. SOE dont seem to be getting rid of the digital download and that means contant new varactyl will be added to the game via players upgrading. The total experence boxed pack will disapear from shop shelves in time and that mean no more barc's. As the poster above me mentioned, you can do a pretty easy quest to get a mount just like the varactyl. Having both varactyl and barc if I had to give one up it sure as hell wouldnt be the barc. Barc = uber speeder, varactly = crap mount.

Im sorry to interupt but someone said that you can make it gallop and run? How do I make my lizard do that, When i mount him it is very very slow. Thanks!

I see more lvl 80s on barcs and I think first, that looks more realistic than my swoop. Then I think I want a noob bike too. But as a Master Artisan I can make as many vehicles as I want. I can even suck money from you loosers and idiotsat an alarming rate and buy anything I want any time. Why "loosers" - you are like fish that just have to have that worm cause it looks so good then whammm. Your wallet is lighter now just like they expected. They have discussed how many of you loosers are willing to shell out the money just for the bike. Thats why its for sale in the new box and thats why it can be traded. For those of you who bought the expansion for more content for your character and have been loyal customers shelling out money each month you get nothing but bait on a hook.
For the poor noob - mostly kids - who you stole the bikes from, they will get a bad feeling from the whole deal many months down the road. The whole experience is based on greed and dishonesty and untimately makes someone feel jealous or sad. I'm proud to be a part of the Total Experience... Now I know what the first day in prison feels like. For those of you who spent millions for your Barc, please read this post again to better understand my opinion of you.
Stop taking the bate and they will start acting ethically.

Varactyl is the fastest mount and I think the devs were gonna let people do special attacks while mounted so that might make them worth more

You sir obviously dont own a varactyl. and therefore should not make commints on somthing you have no idea about.. the varactyl is "THE" hands down fastest mount in the game slightly better then a kadu and its gallop recharge rate is considerabully less then any other creature mount . The bolotar only looks similar to the varacctyl and thats all its speed and gallop recharge are horrendus. very possibul that the bolotar is one of the slowets creatures .. so your comment is downright insain... Some one else also mentioned somthing about being abel to still do the DDL version and that they would remove Total expereance from the shelf ... OMG sorry but you are just a moron. Total experieance is the new package and replaces the original package .. this is how soe will generate new interest into the game.. most peopl start games buy purchasing the box set first. Plus if they did take it off how would soe get new people to play the game seeings how the DDL is an UPDATE ONLY and not the total experience . they are the same but completely diffrent .. and ohh you also forgot to do your homework the Varactul was only For preorded versions of the DDL if you get the ddl now well guess ya get screwed as you also dont get the 3 additionl starship lot's..
