Thread: Camping Loot amazingly once again

TBH, I dont see why anyone would want to complete any quests anyway...most of the loot I have seen is junk.
Sorta like BH now have the market cornered on tapes, and Jedi had the market cornered on the +25 tapes off the DJK and DJM...get a larger stronger group and go steal the spawn from the campers.
I would have respected your answer more if you were to give a solution to the problem of people not being able to finish a quest rather than saying "just don't do it". Maybe the devs should remove those mobs as part of the quest, that is a solution. Telling people loot sucks so why bother is not helping. That's like when I tell people going for Jedi sucks, don't even bother going to the village. Well maybe they want to do it because there is nothing left to do. Taking away brand new quests just because we have some greedy **edit** is wrong. btw, I think this problem is a combination of a lot of people doing the quest and camping the spawn. ONce most people finish the quest I'm hoping I don't see 20-30 people just sitting there like zombies.
There is no damn solution! Want the loot...get off the damn forums and get in game...meet up with the other whinners in this gah thread and steal the spawn from the campers.
"there is nothing left to do."
your not creative enough and probly belong in some RPG like Morrowind, to everyone who believes there is "nothing left to do"....one word err acronym PvP...endless content available via player interaction...

I want to keep these things rare and out of the hands of everyone, if that means being camped by a few Jedi and sold for millions, then ok.
So by this logic there is nothing wrong with making it so that the loot is a quest reward that cannot be tradedinstead of a loot drop, right? Seems like that would be fair.

I thought these are no-trade items. If it's so, you won't be among the first to get it, that's all
you thought wrong....is bio linked after it is equipped first time...so is tradable
IIjin,
So, your only solution is steal? LOL
This isn't the streets of some real city somewhere where you can live outa villainous lifestyle. This is a game. that means by it's nature it is cooperative AND competitive at the same time. The rules need to reflect that.
If you think that is carebear, that is your problem. And by the way, get in game and you won't have to deal with this since you don't care anyway. Right?
I agree that it's just not a good idea to have an elite/boss mob that drops great loot double as a quest target.... there's no way around this combination getting ugly for those trying to finish the quests, and it leads to masses of people all standing around trying to outdamage each other. Any static location for good loot drops will have this issue.
There is one example already in the game of how I feel the high-endloot-sources should spawn.... if anyone has ever tried to hunt downa Peko Peko Albatross, you know that they can cover a large area, and seems that there is maybe only 1 or 2 on the planet at any given time. You have to drive around for ages to find one sometimes (groups of 8 looking would make it alot easier), but when you do find one, the drop rate is actually pretty high. There's NO way to camp them, but if you're specifically looking for them, and one of your group members runs across it first... call the rest to your WP, and take it out. It might be a bit of a suprise to a solo-player taking out Lava Fleas to have one spawn on top of them, but hey, it's a dangerous planet. ![]()
yo iijin i gotta say one thing...
RIGHT ON BRO!!
/bmoc
/hero
and thanks for saving me a lot of typing....those damn carebears never stop complaining huh ![]()

IIjin,
It's actually a pretty simple fix. Kick out anyone in the area after they have completed the kill.
And loot camping only goes on because it's allowed.
Sorta like Necrosis? yeh umm nope LOL, Necrosisis the biggest farm currently...
Necrosis can't be camped. You are kicked out and have to make the run back through the caves, and you have to wait on a timer anyway. I have never seen it camped on Corbantis.
In addition, the caves are instanced as well.

and necro being instanced isn't even camped...he is farmed, which in my opinion is far worse considering it drive the value of the loot way down...and puts it in the hands of anyone who wants....people give Necro loot away...with the exception of a few pieces that stuff is worthless.

Then you are just trying to mix in some oranges with the apples and divert the discussion to farming which is not what this thread was started for.

I see you understand now and are trying to get off the topic...The reason I brought farming up is because if your suggestion was implemented it would just result in farming instead of camping. We would be back at square one...I want to keep these things rare and out of the hands of everyone, if that means being camped by a few Jedi and sold for millions, then ok.
Also I personally don't give a rats a55, I'm not a Jedi and never aspire to be a Jedi...I also don't care one bit about questing, after a few months I will check the forums find a walkthrough for exactly what I am looking for and will go attain it.

As long as you get the item, right? Sounds kinda selfish to me. Everyone should have the same chance to get any item as everyone else.
