Anyway, my whole point is, there is so much in this game right now that is totaly unfair, unless u been playing for 6 months or over a year. Unless you have several alts that u dont need to count on anyone else. Or if you have a jedi. Fix the game, fix the things that NEED TO BE FIXED.

Not a bad post all in all. A little on the ranting side maybe but a few good points. Just a few thoughts here though. Starting out is hard, and yes players who have been around for six months or a year are going to have it easier cause they know how to play, have friends/guilds to help them out, and have built themselves some kind of base to live on. They have made a lot of Fixes in the past few months that genuinely needed to be taken care of, and have been doing a rather impressive job of keeping up the pace. Those of us who have been around since launch can attest to the fact that they haven't worked this hard/fast on fixing the game since... well since ever basicly.

I understand that AFK camping is annoying and that now with the spawn rates it seems worse, but in the long run this is going to drop the price of attachments since there will be so many more of them. If you feel that they are too high then do not buy them or find a way to get them yourself, it may not be they easiest method but then taking the easy way out is kind of what you were against here. There are a lot of places to get good attachements in game and not just the one or two that are camped round the clock, you just need to do a little research to find out where. I can definately understand getting frustrated at all the morons out there trying to make a quick buck and rip people off but all I can say is find some people with the same views as you, and try your best to do anything you can to put a cramp in their actions. My personal recomendation is what I've been doing recently, I'm beating the campers by camping. My personal search for attachments led me to the Aakuan POI on talus who regularly drop up to +6 AAs and CAs, not the uber ones of Nyax, but they add up just the same. I set myself up in the best part of the cave on an AFK combat macro and added a second macro that repeats telling all that I'm giving away all attachments that I can't use personally, just mail me with what they are looking for and I'll give it to them if I have it and can't use it. This has worked out pretty well thus far and I enjoy knowing that I'm not stealing loot from anyone, am giving something to someonewho needs it, am hurting the business of the other campers, and am not making a profit from something that I've put no work into. I still do sell attachments and loot but only from those things that I actively hunt.

I do also understand completely about crafters needing more inventory, and also about the limit on shuttle ports, both things that all we can do is hope the devs fix in the near future.

UNLESS you are jedi, and then you never use your skills to kill, only loot and rob others for changing millions for a damn tape that you didnt really work to get. U stood there buffed with your powerful weapon and jedi powers. Hit, Hit, Hit, Hit, he is dead and you make 10 million. Yeah. See maybe i will waste months of my life to become jedi, then i can join the ranks of the uber snots and hord all the loot MAUHAHAHA.

Ok, your other posts made sense, but I've really gotta wonder about this one. You say that people are getting rich off of tapes that they didn't even work for because all they did was "Hit, hit, hit, hit"? How else are you supposed to kill an NPC to get a tape? Ask them nicely? If I get buffed, trek out to wherever an NPC spawn is, and use the powerful weapon I bought to kill them with, and I just happen to loot a nice tape I think I "worked to get it".

Oh, and I don't see why you you think jedi are "uber snots" and don't earn anything they get, and rob people. I've never had a jedi rob me or be an "uber snot" to me. And while I'm sure they exist, there are also idiotic non-jedi and nicer jedi. Just because they have awesome skills and powerful weapons doesn't make them all automatically bad people.

Obviously the people that are against this thread are AFK'ers. Personally, I think that when you go AFK, you character shouldn't be able to do anything. It's harsh, but with the way so many people play this game, it's needed. If you don't want to put the time and effort into the game, don't play it. There's people that actually play but have a hard time because of the people that don't play. Any time I see an AFK Jedi camping somewhere, I simply contact my Master BH friend to take care of it.

Simply put AFK'ers suck.

first off i am an AFKer and i don't see a problem with it.As long as it's not the lairs.I do it for the xp and anything else is just a bonus!Personally i would like to see a timer on the amount of time you can spend at a lair, such as 1 hour at the nyax and then you're booted for 4 hours.something like that would kill the afk looters and make it more fair for everyone. What's the harm to the community if i camp a static spawn in the middle of nowhere,NONE.But if you camp one of the poi's you need to be removed.

I guess that you want SOE to hand it all to you on a silver platter, but I fail to see why SWG would continue to be a game if they did this. If you want easy rewards, I suggest you stick to Easter egg hunts (hurray for you, Easter is right around the corner).

Industrious? Imaginative? CREATIVE?!?!?!

YOU GOT LUCKY BY LOOTING AN EXCEPTIONAL WEAPON OR GOT LUCKY WITH A SLICE. The three words above don't fit in - it's all **luck**, pure and simple - and all you read out of that entire goddamned rant (if you read it in its entirety *at all*) was "pssh, lazy a**hole."

Access to nice loot should not be restricted simply to those who possess superweapons.

Eventually it's going to catch up with the loothounds. Try selling loot when there's no one to sell it TO. Try selling the credits from said loot sales when no one's interested in buying.

AFKers and people who think they're entitled to all the good loot on a particular server are tieing the nooses around their own necks, and eventually their practices are going to cost them.

I camp nyax a lot. I'm never AFK, however I do watch a tv show or read the forums in between spawns. And yeah, the rich keep getting richer. I've made over 350 million in the last 3-4 weeks. I'm not a jedi nor am I a swordsman. I'm just a simple rifleman with a speed capped outfit using a nice little 850 max dxr 6.

Anyway, you all sound like a bunch of communists. I plan on writing an article about this, it would probably scare a lot of you.. to know that you really sound like communists. But anyway.. <3 joo

I love this line. Everytime I mention something that might help the game out, I get the same BS about that didn't happen until the fourth movie or the bounty hunters never did that in the films. Truth be told, don't think I've seen all the movies and guess what......I still enjoy the game. It wasn't just created for all the people that attend the conventions in full costume or can answer every trivia question ever formulated about Star Wars. Just play the game!!

Not intended towards the creator of the mainthread....just a general observation.

How is plopping your character down at the bottom of Nyax's Stronghold, setting a macro and going to bed industrious, imaginative or creative... that would be the lazy man's way of "playing".

I have no problem with camping, I can possibly reason with a camper.

I've been playing (and paying) since launch. If someone starts tommorrow, then in almost 2 years they can fully expect to have their characters where mine are (faster actually, since I'm only a casual player). I don't see why I should be penalized for being a long time customer just so a new customer feels equal to me without all the work I had to do.

However, I agree with you that camping needs to be stopped. Instance the POI's.

I agree with everything you're saying. I refuse to buy buffs or spend a ton of money on armor. What used to be an enjoyable trip across a planet (you have to admit the planet graphics are one of the best things in game) has become a game of "stare at your radar and stear clear of all the yellows that pop up on you because they're going to turn red and aggro you." I read a post a while back from someone who wondered why the deserts of Tatooine were so full. I don't recall seeing Luke race across the desert having to dodge critters and hermits!

Actually it would make me very happy to see each planet have a Maximum number of mobs capped at something low enough that traveling across a planet doesn't resemble a Diablo screen with mobs every few dozen meters.

I would Really like to See fewer mobs but have them act more intelligently.

And I would REALLY like to see mobs that are close together treat eachother exactly like the other were me. So if Robas and Pirates spawn next to eachother they should be killing eachother instead of waiting for me to come along to kill.

-LA

i agree it would be cool to finally see rebel and imperial npc's killing each other instead of standing next to each other scratching their heads.. but a hard cap on how many mobs can be on each planet would present too many problems. for one at server restart there is usually a ton of mobs everywhere.. you can't throw a stone 20 feet in any direction without hitting ten of em.. but if there was a hard cap then that would limit peoples ability to run missions with out getting "sorry there are too many mobs on this planet currently.. please try again in a few hours". also mobs that are already agonizingly hard to find for the knight trials would be even harder to find. personaly i've never had a problem traveling on my bike without buffs through giant feilds of red mobs.. keep driving and they'll only hit you once, or twice at most.

Don't remove the /lootall from macro's, double clicking corpses in dungeons drives me nuts.

Just remove the macro code to auto-target items

=

PROBLEM SOLVED.

Multi-accounts is also bad for the game, since players get too big of an influence that way and if they are crafters, it's hard for new players to compete with them. I'm not blaming all players for this, because some do nothing but good (using lots for guild/city etc)and aren't greedy, but some are. They just have 4 accounts to camp the sh*t out of resource/spawn locations to get rich quickly. These people wreck the game for the rest in my humble opinion.

As for dungeons with lootdrops, don't use timers on those, that's not realistic, just remove the auto-target like i mentioned above. These AFK looters are far too lazy to do everything themself, so this should take care of the majority of the sad AFK looters that sit on a spot for over a week all day long.

At this point i could drop 3 names, but i'd better not.
