While I have to agree that I think the AFK combat macros for looting is rather irritating there is another side to this. I know that some of you out there are looking forward to another game due to this situation, but apparently you are new to MMO's. There are always going to be campers on big spots like that. I think what I am waiting for is for the Devs to decide that this shouldn't be the case and make it harder to kill the big mobs...kinda like they did to the Night Sisters

I used to be a poor crafter once upon a time so then I worked at it and worked at it and now I'm rich, it was actually quite easy. Find out what people want and sell it to them, simple!

Well, fixing the existance of AFKcombat macros (and AFK productivity macros in general, if they could fix the system so the game could function without them) are a no-brainer.
But beyond that, they need to fix the loot system. Farming should be impossible, because all desirable loot should be only droped by randomspawns, preferrably ones that are found across a wide area, such as "any humanoid at sufficient difficulty." This game was originially built on the priniple of not being a camping-based game, and at every turn it becomes more and more to be exactly that.

You mean, the industrious, imaginative, and creativeget richer, and the lazystay poor?
I guess that you want SOE to hand it all to you on a silver platter, but I fail to see why SWG would continue to be a game if they did this. If you want easy rewards, I suggest you stick to Easter egg hunts (hurray for you, Easter is right around the corner).

I camp nyax a lot. I'm never AFK, however I do watch a tv show or read the forums in between spawns. And yeah, the rich keep getting richer. I've made over 350 million in the last 3-4 weeks. I'm not a jedi nor am I a swordsman. I'm just a simple rifleman with a speed capped outfit using a nice little 850 max dxr 6.
Anyway, you all sound like a bunch of communists. I plan on writing an article about this, it would probably scare a lot of you.. to know that you really sound like communists. But anyway.. <3 joo

Well i happy to see some of you were clean headed to see what i was trying to say. Sorry if some of you big shots think i was being a cry baby. I have played other online games and know about loot whores and the ones that just becuase they found a loop to get the upper hand, they take it and take way to much, 350 million in 3-4 weeks, give me a break. Im not a lazy ass or simple minded like someone hinted, nor am i as stupid to think that SOE should hand me what i want on a silver plater. The point is that TO MUCH in THIS game is UNFAIR to most the population. UNLESS you are jedi, and then you never use your skills to kill, only loot and rob others for changing millions for a damn tape that you didnt really work to get. U stood there buffed with your powerful weapon and jedi powers. Hit, Hit, Hit, Hit, he is dead and you make 10 million. Yeah. See maybe i will waste months of my life to become jedi, then i can join the ranks of the uber snots and hord all the loot MAUHAHAHA.
Anyway, flamers yeah speak your mind, thats what i did. But read what was posted before you blought out anything. Make ya look less foolish to others.
Anyway, lets all hope things change around here for the better.

To be honest, if your not actually there at the computer, doing the work, you shouldnt not be able to loot at all. Its not fair to bust ass for months to make 3 million to spend aCA, that someone has 15 of cuz they cheat and sit and camp with a jedi allll night long.
you will still complain when the people are at their computers.. in fact if you ever come accross an afk loot camper at lets say the nyax poithe devs have said to report them to a csr. but lets put it this way.. i'm a doc/swordsman i can rebuff myself endlessly if i'm waiting for a spawn to pop to get the loot i want.. if i was at a spot for 6 hours killing the same spawn over and over again until i etheir give up or get the loot i want would you call me a cheater also? do you want a fair shot? or do you want to be more powerful than them so you can outdamage them all the time instead of vice versa... and if you just want a fair shot would you still get on here and complain that you couldnt outdamage a rifleman camping a spot? the whole the rich get richer and the poor get poorer thingis just a load of malarke.. anyone with a half of a bearing canbe a millionare in this game...i started out with 500 credits just like everyone else.. and usually nowby the end of a week of binge shoping i have about 3 mil in my pocket... do get my money from putting a spawn on lockdown and hording all the loot for myself? no.. do i rip off new players to fill my pockets? no... Just becauseI or otherscan outdamage you on a STATIC spawn does not mean we're aholes. we're players that started from the same place that everyone did, and we molded our toons accordingly to what we like to do in the game..

I agree with everything you're saying. I refuse to buy buffs or spend a ton of money on armor. What used to be an enjoyable trip across a planet (you have to admit the planet graphics are one of the best things in game) has become a game of "stare at your radar and stear clear of all the yellows that pop up on you because they're going to turn red and aggro you." I read a post a while back from someone who wondered why the deserts of Tatooine were so full. I don't recall seeing Luke race across the desert having to dodge critters and hermits!
because that was a movie.. and this is a freakin game. would it make you happy if the devs took out all of the mobs.. or cut them down by 75% so you can go out on a sunday drive around tatooine? for the love of everything holy i wish people would stop comparing everything in the game to the freakin movies.. characters okay.. story line okay.. but the amount of mobs and npcs?wth get a life.l

To get rid of AFK killing, just kick the person out of the building/bunker after the main spawn dies (like Nyax). Then prevent them from entering for xx amount of minutes (kind of like a TEF) back to the building/bunker. This gives a chance for others.
I am a firm believer that any loots should be simply random. This way nothing becomes a camping ground with AFK macros. Keep it interesting that way. People then would have to try to kill any NPC's within the game instead of just going for the obvious ones that always drop stuff.

Actually it would make me very happy to see each planet have a Maximum number of mobs capped at something low enough that traveling across a planet doesn't resemble a Diablo screen with mobs every few dozen meters.
I would Really like to See fewer mobs but have them act more intelligently.
And I would REALLY like to see mobs that are close together treat eachother exactly like the other were me. So if Robas and Pirates spawn next to eachother they should be killing eachother instead of waiting for me to come along to kill.
