do u meen the stats or the look?

eh, why not both? IMO, you should just be able to get all your ensemble together, with all your mods and everything else you have in them, BE, whatever, then type /setrobe and have it all locked into 1 piece which is then granted all the robe mods.

then again, maybe i'm biased because to get full moddage, i'd need to weat more than a hat, gloves and belt and i'm using some pretty beefy CAs already.

Robes were originally implemented because we wanted alternatives to armor. well, we didn't get an alternative to armor in the robe, so IMO it should just go away and put the mod in the padawan box.

no, I can picture all of the light jedi knights running around in black. Or pink-ish robes for that matter....

Bad enough whenI see a light jedi choke me...

Luke used force choke on the guards in Jabbas place.

Ok lightning then...

Luke was a troubled child, he knew not what he wanted. Destroyer of all that is good, he should've listened to Emperor and crush the rebellion. We all knew that Vader could've worked Luke anyways...

im sure its not a new idea at all...but its fun

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.

Seen lots of discussion about the boring nature of the white standard issue padawan robes that everyone wares. So i thought i would throw out an idea. Here it goes.

Every tier 4 box in every jedi profession should grant you the opportunity of receiving a new unique padawan robe from a shrine. Every master box should also have a unique robe that is rewarded for achieving that skill. Example level 4 of one-handed light saber has a unique robe color or style for reaching that level. Level 4 in double bladed, level 4 in synergy 4, all have a unique robe color or style that is rewarded...and so on and so on. If you feel so inclined to become a master of defense or any other of the jedi professions than you will also be able to get a unique robe. These robes would be in addition to the unique robes that are part of the FRS. A possible design would be a brown colored scheme robe with a hood-up hooded cloak that is part of the one piece robefor level 4 one-handed light saber. For level 4 two-handed light saber perhaps a light grey scheme colored robe with a hood-down hooded cloak. Perhaps the different robes could add a slight skill enhancing modifier to the skill try that they are awarded from. This would give a total of 25 possible robes available to achieve. These robes would be like the titles received for level 4 boxes with all non-jedi professions. It wouldn't be as unique as a custom color scheme radial option but it would still add a lot more diversity as there is currently.

Maybe not every tier four box, but i think it would be reasonable to have one for every master box you achieved. A bonus for grinding out ALL that xp.

Whats wrong with a Jedi Knight in a black robe? Anakin was a Jedi Knight and used a black robe.

Abbink,
I am sorry, but you interpret your Padawan training as the beginning and the end of Jedi when in fact it is only the beginning. Whether you are a Paddie who just got his training saber and has zero novices trained, or a fully templated Paddie who has yet to complete the Knight trials, you are STILL a Paddie. I see this ever increasing trend for the newer Jedi to believe that once they are complete with their Padawan training, that they are now complete Jedi. Until the FRS is returned, we ALL are stuck at Padawan. Even previously ranked Knights and above, are still functioning at Paddie level.

Unfortunately I must wholeheartedly disagree with your robes idea. To give even a completed templated Paddie, let alone a Paddie who simply completes a tier IV box, new robes when they've not even reached the Knight level, disrespects those who have already completed the Knight trials and above.

Perhaps keep the ones we have now and just let us customise them and wear cloaks over them!

Anakins robes were brown like, and very dark to signify his chaning to the dark side in that movie. That was a bit of foreshadowing in Episode 3 there i think. But im pretty sure they were daark, but not black.

Light Jedi should NOT be wearing black robes.

Its bad enough that i see 70% of the Light Jedi population on Bria using Sith Red ligthsabers.

Imagine they had both now...
