Just opened a thread in this forum to discuss a poitn that had me wondering since i started to feel an interest for the ID profession (i'm a master on Kauri now) :
Why master plastic surgeons classed as entertainers instead of advanced medic profession ?
And my two cents about the timer reduction for master ID : Master ID will double up their fare. You want it done quick, go to a master ID and cough up, you dont have a credit ? go to a novice ID who will charge way less but do it slowly. It's all luxury economy regulation.

Do you REALLY want us to be Stat Migrators rather then Image Designers?????
Sheesh, so now we get nearly 2x the amount of xp for 10 mins of SM then 10 mins of ACTUAL ID WORK!!!!!!

Sorry for the double post, but come on, putting music in the tents? UGH!
This update is craptastic I must say.
What about all the IDs who are also Musicians? I guess we cant ENTERTAIN our own customers anymore?
Give the music to the musicians, not the tent.
Why should an inanimate object get new content (songs) while PLAYERS dont?
This update, just plain sucks. Very much sucks.

Uh…huh. I'm curious to know what basis you have for any allegation that Kwee hasn't done her utmost to get the changes that we, the community, wanted. Don't mistake the devs not listening to what Kwee tells them for Kwee not making our wishes known. As far as it goes, I don't believe that anyone else could have done any better, or even half as good as Kwee has been, and at this late stage if someone new were to come in there would be a long aclimitization process, followed by gaining the trust and respect of the devs, and then a period during which proposals were made, discussion of them, yadda, yadda, yadda. In other words, even if you're right—which I don't think you are—ousting Kwee would do more harm than good.

I'm not a master image designer and never will be, devs, and I'll tell you why. NO ONE who is not interested in being a purely ID character is going to do image design anymore. The timers make obtaining experience next to impossible for a casual player like myself. Do you have any idea what that is going to meanfor the state of the game? First, there will be very few new MID's. Second, those left will be burdened with being the few people who can perform critical stat migration functions. Third, those few will probably quit the prof. because this new forced focus is probably not why they joined the profession in the first place.
This tells me that maybe you devs are trying to eliminate image design as a viable prof. or just have no idea how to balance a game. No offense, but when I see a TKM win a fight by using dizzy knockdown in the first second of the match, or see an armorsmith getseveral new suits of armor to craft while a DE gets promised battle droidsbut gets some crappy modules, I begin to doubt the sanity of the design team. Look, I like Jedis too, but spending so much development time on a population that's supposed to be small and exclusive without first fixing the very fundamental flaws of an otherwise fun game is kinda...well, stupid. Sorry guys, I know you just want to make the game fun, but maybe you should listen to the complaints on this thread. They are very valid.
Never gonna be an ID as long as it stays the way it is now....and I don't think I'm the only one.
P.S. Combat droids suck! Have you even bothered to test them, lol.

CAN the music and give me my own tent to put down outside of the spammy laggy cities. Put down tents on Rori. Well basically, take the tents and burn them. Never see anyone in them anyway and I sure do not run around with my master ID tag up. I absolutely hate sitting for ten boring minutes time after time. Better yet, have some NOOB hit the cancel button by mistake and we have to start over again.

Player city tents would certainly help a hell of a lot. It's bad enough dancing in New Unity and having to shuttle over to Theed to help a customer, I can't wait until I live on Dantooine. Besides, I think the ID tents look pretty neat (moreso with the new makeovers, which are actually quite nice), and would be fun to have in a city. It would help a teeny bit to revitalise player cities, or at least slow down their devitalisation, as well. I can't imagine the devs not seeing this, it's probably just a matter of time. (/prays the "matter of time" doesn't mean 6 months after JTL)

I was alright with the first 3, I have some concerns about it pushing people more towards MIDs and it not making it any easy for Novice IDs to becoming MIDs, but I guess we'll see. That is a big boost in xp for stat, if Novices IDs can find people to stat mig.
Now about this music. Do you know what this reminds me of? Being on the telephone then being put on hold and being forced to listen to corny music. Now I haven't heard the music, it might be nice. But honestly I really I think I'll just turn my volume down. I don't feel IDs should be getting this, mood music or not. I think if you were going to go with the flow of the topic, you should have said any one of the following:
- Image Designers can not purchase ID droids from a DE. (details here)
- Image Designers can not buy design terminals from Master Artisans (or) Master Archs (I don't care which)
- Image Designers can not buy their own Salons from Tailors/Arches (arches have to get a comp from tailors) and place them anywhere within a player city.
Music? No way!

Well after reading most of the post I feel the need to add my opinion to this. I don't mind doing stat migration as it gives me a chance to get up from grinding and go smoke or grab a snack while still getting xp. Also depending on my mood, need for a smoke or desire to do it I vary the amount I charge for doing it. I've even had a couple of poeple offer me 50K to stat migrate them. Most people I've delt with that complain about the 10 min. wait stop after I remind them it used to take a couple of days to take effect. I can't say I like the time delay on other changes, but at least with an alt. character in the tent it isn't too bad. The time delay also gives my mind pool a chance to heal up between changes so I don't have to have a huge mind pool to grind or spend money on mind enhancers. And, from what I've noticed from this and other forums, complaining, gripping and whining really don't do any good as it doesn't seem to have any effect good or bad to fixing professions or getting answers. Anyway, I'm going to keep grinding away on ID and what changes come will come.
