I'm sorry if this question has been answered already: Why is it going to take 10 minutes to do the stat change? Does that mean people need to sit with the ID for 10 minutes or does it mean that the ID can't do another customer for 10 minutes?

Dunno why it takes 10 minutes, and yes, you will have to sit with the Image Designer for 10 minutes, and no, we can doanyoneelse while we wait.

I guess we all got the short end of the stick, really. I don't think ID want to be the sole person in charge of changing stats, and regular people don't want to pay for something they could do for free. I guess the only close comparison is BH keeping tabs on the Jedi population, but then, that's debatable about which is more important (I suppose it depends on what you're doing professions-wise).

Thanks for the link Kwee, though I guess I got more into thinking about possible alternatives to the ten minute wait thing, even if my posts didn't show it. I'll go away now and let you resume your ID discussion.

Wow... i'm an id and i say thats a bloody rip off

my price list is

500 for a color change

1500 if you make me brows through a bunch of colors

1500 for a body change

500 for a face change

10k for a total makover(defaults to makeover when you take up more than 15 minutes of my time or want more than 8 changes)

On average i get about 5-10k a design,

Although 3/4th of the time the person tips me 10-20k before i even ask for payment

50k for a stat migration is a bit much....

at most i would ask for 15k with a free makeover

Overall i like your prices Kwee though i may drop them lower but I'm going to incur a 2-5k sitting fee just for taking the time to make the changes. IF tehy dont want anything then i still get paid for my time. If they want changes then the fee is deducted from theyre overall charge.. either way i am assured that my time wont be wasted.

BTW i somehow got myself in the position of trying to start up a Gorath union LOL..

Im already making contact with people, but anyone else who sees this PLZ email Anein Arxoi on Gorath if you are interested.

I know this may be pushing it, but wouldn't it also be possible to have a multi galaxy union. Made up of union leaders from various servers sending emails back adn forth just so we can keep in touch about the profession... i know i know this is kinda what that is but lets face it anything we discuss here is open to ANYBODY which is good and bad. It means everyone knows if we have a major plan coming up. But it also means we cant discuss things jsut ID's without others poping in (no offense meant to non-ids but it is nice to chat to IDs once in a while

Anyways.. hope you guys do well on the release day.

For those on gorath who read this i'm adopting Kwees pricing but i may modify down by upto half... well see what the market can handle i guess...

you asked for feedback, so here is the pricelist that the Infinity IDs are considering:

different hair style (including different colour) 2k
different hair, eyeshadow, or eye colour 1k
facial makeover 5k
body makeover 5k
single facial or body change 1k
holo-emotes 10k
stat migration 15k

That seems fair to me, and I would happily pay this much, and would probably tip on top of that as long as they are a proper IDer and not a hologrinder, but there is no way you will persuade most people to pay 50k just to shift stats, or 100k for a full makeover. I say again: not everyone has millions in the bank, and not everyone has the ability to make vast amounts of money in short periods of time, as you seem to believe. Your current prices shaft new and casual players, and Im just glad I moved to a server where the prices for everything are more reasonable.

Those prices aren't too bad. Compare this to other professions. As a master TK, I can easily make over 50k in ten minutes. Most other combat professions are about the same. A dancer or musician can buff a group of 5 people for ten minutes and get 10k from each pretty easily. Any crafter makes credits that fast, if you add the time they gather resources, make a schematic, load the factory, fill the vendor, then divide it by the number of items they sell, 50k for ten minutes of work no problem. People complain about doc buffs being 10k a shot, then go wait in line to get theirs.

I like the price guide. I hope other servers have something similar.

I don't have much to add here, as almost everything has ben said already.
That being the case, it's going to be a long, long, long time before I pay 50k for a stat change (or at least before I cave in to paying that much). This is mainly because I, like all other players, have the ability to do it for free right now. Maybe if prices were set lower and gradually increased I'd have less of a problem with it, but since I often fine-tune my stats daily, adding and subtracting points where needed, I can't say I'm terribly happy with the idea that I won't be able to without finding some ID who then charges me 50k for it.
Not that you don't have the right to, I'm just giving the opinion of one not rich combat character.

I think what many people are missing is that many of us don't *want* to do stat migrations. That's not why I have been an ID for these many months. I'll be charging a fortune, not because I need credits (I don't) but because I don't want to deal with it.

Also...I will be setting prices high myself because I'm *tired* of whineyassy players *grin* If you came to me, roleplayed or were *gasp* nice and asked for a request, I'd probably do it gladly and not at that inflated price.

I'm just tired of people *telling* me what to do, without asking if I'm busy or even having a clue whta they want, much less being a decent human being.

90% of my game time is pleasant with wonderful people. It's the 10% of fartknockers that f-it up for the rest of the people.

I actually hate the idea of charging people anyway, as I work much better just on tips. I know that if I give a quote, I'm just going to hear what I do know "Well...so and so did it for X". I've had to stop being nice about it when people do that and just refuse.

Tired of the abuse and not looking forward to more tomorrow....

Yes, I realise that most IDs don't relish being the only way to change stats. I mentioned it in one of my posts earlier.

At any rate, it doesn't matter. I'll either have money to pay for it or I won't. Just to try to make this post look less flaming, every single experience I've had with an ID has been fun. They are, by and large, the profession that roleplays the most (and really, that's what makes this game fun).

I totally agree, IDs deserve cash too. I'm an ID, and proud of it. But why would I sit at a tent for 10 minutes, when I can go get a rancor mission for 38000c? The prices are fair in that it makes our time worth while.
I'm on Chilastra, but I will be making a price list like that as well.

I'm fairly new to the ID profession. I'm not a holo grinder but Ive been getting bored with SWG so i decided to try something new and with the help of my guild mates mastered ID this week end. I'm on chilastra would you please share your price list? I'm curious as to what prices are like on Chilly seems our inflation is a little crazy and I have no idea what to charge for ID services.

A quick note that everything went really well with my price list last night. No one blinked an eye, and it was such a relief to have the secure pay system to do everything. It was convenient for the customer too, because it even pulls money from the bank if necessary

Let's not joke here...for every "IDers didn't want stat migration!" you hear, 5 more are gladly raking in cash from the only vital thing we can do =) I WANTED EXCLUSIVE STAT MIGRATION.

See I said it & the planet failed to explode. IDers need to quit being chicken. We DID want something like this, we DO deserve it, & it IS fair. The ABSOLUTE & ONLY reason people are even squawking one tiny bit isbecause they had it free & only now have to pay. In a month, no one will even think twice.

If buffs had been free & now they MADE you go to docs, you'd be hearing the exact same whining.

I don't like "having" to go to some doctor to get buffed either. And it's less effort & time for him to do that than for me to do ID work.
