Thread: State of the Profession: Image Design
We should be focused on overturning Rilawyn's regime
This line makes me cry I'm laughing so hard. I feel like a revolutionary, lol.
ANARCHY!!! TOPPLE THE IMAGE DESIGNING THRONE!!!
I gotta say this about ID's and the experience "being too fast".
Give it a rest. It shouldn't be that hard to master ID because it's not good for much. At least not yet. I mastered it on the side because I like to customize my character, change the look every now and then (much to the displeasure of my guildmates, believe me, they believe the SP would be much better utilized in something "useful" such as Medic etc etc etc)
Anyway, when it becomes something that is worthwhile, then make it hard to master. For now, leave it alone and let them concentrate on adding more options. Why does everything in the game have to be so hard?
I personally love how it's not too tough to master. Especially after how long this stupid pike took.
To be honest, I think that Kwee is one that would probably benefit us better as the correspondent, not as I have seen that it;s a great job, but she does know what she is talking about and I have gotten more information from her postings than others.
I certainly do not mean this to be a flame. But if the situations are addressed then there wouldn't be the need for all these accusations of 'ignoring'
Also it is hard to address the situations everytime if it is the same.
However, I stick to my opinion that Kwee is the better person for the position. It's not about not liking, simply not doing the job to satisfaction of majority.

My biggest complaints about the ID professionare that a) There are so many options we don't have, b) Nobody has any use for you if can't even do all of the things that are available at creation, and c) Even when I do get high-paying customers I just have to re-spend all of that money to get training because there aren't any Image Designers on the Tempest server!!
The options I would like to see available first are new hairstyles/colors and more tatoos. The pregnancy, scar, and pet options would be great after that. Maybe the IDers and BEs could each have different pet modification options. For instance, IDers could change the color and fur of pets while BEs could change the height and build of the pet. ![]()

Rilawyn is trying hard and not deliberately stonewalling you. Ril has demonstrated a real desire and solid motivationto do a good job and I intend on giving her the benefit of the doubt.
Please, lets all work together and get this information to the devs.
Ditto. I have this cynical suspicion that all of the people that want to slow down the process of getting Master ID already have Master ID.

I am possibly guilty of that.
And I do agree that if you don't grind, getting through Image Designer is lengthy and frustrating to get through.
I do feel that something needs to be done to slow down the rate of 'grinding' experience for Image Designer, hopefully in a way that wouldn't hinder those who are more 'casual' about advancing through the profession.
The issue of 'reputation' and 'ease of profession' will really be maintained regardless of any IDXP changes, as it's a perception that exists throughout all the Entertainer professions. So honestly, if a solution that wouldn't solve the problem suitably for the casual Image designers can't be found, it isn't as big a deal to leave it as is. Yes, I have gotten bitter about the respect that Entertainer professions recieve or will ever recieve
I think the real damage to the profession comes from folks who may be actively considering a Full Image Makeover, and decide that it would be a better use of their time to spend '5 to 15 hours' grinding into the profession than actually seeing an ID for help with it.
