Well what to say? I just started ID before the patch and I love it. Today I was able to lvl up to Body 1...so far so good. But when I saw, that no new options for customization where added to my ID-Screen i was friggin annoyed. Wanna know why? Because it took me about two hours of id to get there (finding customers or willing vicitims, starring on id screen, nothing else - can be very unsatisfying...). And thats just row one (I am starting to feel sick, when I am thinking of getting to master).

Dont get me wrong, I dont like holo-grinding, thats why I dont do it (and the day every second person I meet is a Jedi, i will quit the game). But come on, you made the ID-Profession unplayable. I am a casual gamer, with a real life and real problems, I aint have the time to play 120 hours straight through....so do many other players. I bet many ppl, that thought about ID, will dont even start the profession. I suggest:

- Let the timer as it is, thats no prob for me (btw: Why do you lower the timer for masters? I dont get it. I mean a Master ID has so many options to customize, it takes way more time for the customer to deceide than any timer of the world could ever count down....so if you lower a timer, do it generally not for masters only - and novice IDs, which really need their customers, wont loose em).

- Stack the XP: If I change eG eyecolor, haircut and bodyweight, stack the xp you get for every change. Its not necessary to stack every single customization, but it should stack the xp from all "major areas" (like body, face, hair/frills, face), its just not right, thatI changenearly everything on a player and I just get the xp from the hardest customization after he was for like 15 mins inhis "deceidingprocess"-----> more work = more xp (sounds logical, doesnt it?)

For one- Hologrinders have done a LOT to my enjoyment of the game, and anyone else who is here to relax and have fun, not worry about some vague Jedi mystery that's nothing but a mindnumbing grind through professions you want nothing to do with. I'm an entertainer- BY CHOICE. I was here on launch, I saw the game before Holocrons were even known. People were in cantinas because they wanted to be. dancers, musicians were respected when they had the determinationt o stay at the keys for 10-18 hours a stretch, and honestly PLAY, chat with clients, the works. Then...The HOLO announcement.. Within DAYS the cantinas were full of people whining about being 'forced' to be there...Umm no. I wanted a Jedi. but I boycotted the system, as the rest of you should have done and forced the devs to change it earlier. No one was 'forced' Cancelled accounts, and mass boycotts would have had the hologrind ended right there. But, people being sheep for the most part, the Hologrind was infull swing in days. Soon after, Macroing was discovered as a 'acceptable' route. It took a few months, but eventually people started saying 'well, macroing isn't that bad'.... Well, it is. It's lazy and stupid, and gives you access to a title you didn't earn, and never worked for. Any moron can copy and paste a macro. It takes alot more to be a master bounty hunter, a master commando, even a master dancer, through hard work and determination (and yes, stubbornness). Tips drizzled, then died, as most entertainers were millionaires grinding because a little blue box told them to. making a living became harder and harder, and finally, the ultimate insult, the AFK buffbots arrived. Now it's nearly impossible to even sell a buff, since these bots do it free. And still..we hear the feeble cries.. 'Hologrinders never hurt nobody' umm...yeah. Remember when Master anything was COOL? and MEANT something? Well, Those days are dead and gone my friend. Thanks to the Hologrind, it's now a joke. Everyone is a master at something.

As for the timer..Leave it alone. It's just fine. Most people spend so long gettign a look right, it's a moot point.

Now please PLEASE...make AFK dancing impossible..and start enforcing your claims of 'third party software will not be tolerated'. So many have mouse-recorder macroed to master whatever it's not funny.

No I don't have a freakin sig. Just make something up and pretend it's here man. woman. umm...Whatever.

I could not agree more that the timers are excessive when held against the xp given per session of ID. 120 or more hours does not seem to fit the one month for a casual gamer line I read when the revamp/gimp hit, it seems that only the most hard core gamer would be able to do this in a month, playing 6 hours a day, for a month straight. And as for those who say wait for the new system and do the quest, you are welcome to it, if I do not unlock I will do it as well, but I have put a lot of work into getting through the jedi system in current use, a whole lot, and now my efforts are seemingly pointless since I need ID to finish my holos. Like me or dislike me for trying to grind holos, but it is the system in place, and for me at least the end game for me here is to play a jedi. And dont even get me started on how it looks to me, that this revamp/gimp, and the changes since aid master ID's, while locking out the prof to those who have not finished. I am at current a 4/3/0/0 ID, and I cant possibly get 60+ hours if ID in to finish the prof. So earning my last holo was a complete waste. The devs know what they have done to the xp system, the math does not require a calculator, that they do not seem keen on repairing the damage bothers me, but what bothers me more is the feeling I have that if they do fix it, they will cut the timers a bit, or increase the xp a bit, leaving me still 30 or 40 hours of ID grinding away from finishing the holocron I earned.

This isn't the issue of the timers. It's an issue of the experience gain. As it stands right now, it would take an aspiring ID 120 hours to master ID. That is not even close to being on par with the rest of the professions. They got rid of the macro ability AND they added the timer, and that made it total and complete overkill. It's going to kill our profession. If they got rid of the timer (for everything except stat migration), and just let the person gain xp through the user interface, it would bring it perfectly in line with the rest of the professions in terms of time grinding.

I agree with Fuschia that not being able to use macros on its own slows exp gain a great deal.My at-launch ID friends andImastered the profession only using the /im command (which still works) and it took us 1-2 months (I came in at a the tail end) of casual play time where we spent a lot of time ID'ing. I would ID every spare moment, while running around, waiting at the shuttle, you name it

Hey SWG-Runesabre,

Any timeframe on when we might get something more useful for our profession, like NEW Hairstyles or Tatoos? That is what customers ask for.

I just hit a bunch of buttons and hope everything works out.

Is there even a single "active" Master ID working this profession in the Wanderhome galaxy?

I have been looking for an ID now for over six weeks in wanderhome to get a new hair style. Now I also want to change my stats. I have waited for over two hours at the Vreni island location, as well as searched for ID's on every planet. This is just rediculous that it requires an ID to change my hair and stats and yet none can be located during primetime hours! I wonder how the European folks on our server are doing with this issue as well. A few months ago I had the same problem and actually took the time to master the professoin just so I can make the style changes, then dropped the profession 30 mins later.

If this profession is to have any respect, it might actually help if we had people doing this profession actively. If it does not lure enough "active" people toward the profession in a certain galaxy, then the devs need to pay attention and provide alternate means for players to accomplish these desired changes.

How about adding an NPC that is activated when the system checks (like every 5 mins) and does not find a Master ID working in the tent (verify the player is not AFK)?

Ok, rant time. I started my life in this world as an Entertainer. I mastered Entertainer, Dancer, and Image Designer. I was very happy in this capacity, because I enjoyed the social aspect of dancing and creating "works of art" in my ID customers. I did get bitten by the "Jedi Holo-grind" bug, (I always tried to contribute in whatever profession I was doing at the time too...almost always kept a new master title at least one week before moving on) and I did use whatever legal shortcuts I could to advance quicker through my professions. All the while I was anxious to go back to my starting template: Entertainer/ID/Dancer. Well, I was extremely disappointed, not only do have to deal with xp cap (from long ago---have 900k dance xp, but can only train to dance 2...BLAH), but now this bloody 2 minute wait between an ID session!!! Give me a break! Total overkill. ID macro'ing is gone now, so why do we need a timer? As much as I would love to be an ID once again...Iam doubtful that I will because I dont have 100+ hours to devote to mastering it AGAIN.

Rant done...I am very pleased with the other positive changes to the profession...especially thehair bug fix.

You forgot something, returning slow stat migration to the general populace. I'll be unsubscribing until the asinine decision to revoke this ability is reversed.

Well, I kinda like the stat migration being given to the ID's. They are rare profession anyways, so giving them an ability to make a physical change (since that is what they specialize in) that is actually in demand may keep them alive as a profession. As for un-subscribing because of this ability being turned over to ID's that's just nutters...but I wish you the best.
