Ok, 2 things (not to throw more gasoline on the logo fire)

1) Anything else for males? Currently you have 3d facial hair... personally male facial hair needs to be fixed (use any beard with any hair and use the same color... they look nothing alike), but thats just me. Alot of what is up there is geared more toward's females (wishlist that is).

2) anything for Rodinians? Transhodans? Bothans?

The community voted on what was to be included in the wish list and in what order a couple of weeks ago.

One thing I would like to see is more information available about the skills we already have. It took me days to track down any information on how to do stat migration. I initially assumed that it was a skill that I would receive at some point, but it is not listed anywhere on the skill chart. In fact all the skill listings for ID are pretty vague compared to other professions where each skill box lists specific things that it allows you to do.

Having found out that I could do stat migration when I saw it mentioned in passing on this forum, I was a little nervous that I would share the experience others have mentioned here and that I would be spending 10 minutes at a time waiting with some AFK moron who would only bestir themself to complain about being charged.

In the event my experience so far has been a lot of fun, but then I take the opportunity to give the customer a makeover while we wait and so far all my customers have gone away happy, and far from having complaints I have been tipped well. If you just want to grind exp in a miserable antisocial fashion, go practice changing eye colour and leave the stat migrations to those that enjoy socialising.

Personally I don't see the whole spaceship customising to be our field. I would much rather have a wider range of tattoos to apply to player characters. I would like to be able to apply body tattoos to all races similar to the kind of tattoos you see in real life.

I actually love the idea of creating logos/tattoos for various things. People, ships, vehicles etc. It's all about profession integration. Sure a ship builder would build the ship, but the ID could smack some logos on it! A droid engineer would provide the bot that would go in the ship and a weaponsmith would outfit it with better weapons. On another idea, for player ID tents, you'd need a architect to make it, and get a musician to record a track to play in it.

Try not to get confused, what I listed were just some random ideas that could be implemented but probably aren't currently. It needs to start somewhere so people can get used to the idea and not worry about the abilities being 'stolen' from their profession.

I'm on Corellia on Corbantis and I can't find an image designer. I live in Val Shaddar (West of Tyrena). Why did you make this an ID skill? It used to take days for the changes to take effect anyway, but that was better than them never taking effect because of a lack of image designers. My suggestion is to make it so the Image designer can change your stats quickly, BUT make it so your stats will change on their own. Even if the stats take twice as long as they used to to change as before, or if they only change when you are "on-line", I think that would be better than not changing at all.

We did not make this an ID skill the devs did all we asked for was the ablity to do it faster.

I like the Player City tent thing but the droid and being able 2 place a termainal in ur own house sorta defeats the purpase of the tent in my opinion

2.Timer issues

a. Too long, particularly the 10 minute stat migration one, customers and ID's oftenafk to get snacks, read, or watch TV

b. Timers mean having the UI up, which covers most of the screen, very immersion breaking

c. Timers for MID's who do not need exp anymore

This is the only major issue I have at this time. People have had no problem with payment so much as the time limit. Not only do people go afk doing it, I usually have a line of people waiting for a stat migration and i have to tell them "well there's4 people in front of you so it's going to be at least a 40 min wait". So really 50 min because 40 min for everyone else and then 10 min for themselves. That's a pretty long time to wait.

It just feels like I'm measuring my gaming into 10 min increments now more than anything else.

Love the stat migration change. Its brought me a lot more money and customers but the wait is a bit large. Perhaps lower the EXP granted from the change and lower the timer is feasible?

Let'sadd a "Massage" function to Image designers ?

i can imagine3 types of massage to be performed on clients:

- relaxing massage (wound healing)

- energizing massage (short buff)

- purifying massage (shorten poison and disease, eliminate spice and doctor buffs from organism)

the game mechanics (see TK meditation) are all here, just add a little tick box in the interface.

(sorry got a bit carried away and posted it as a new thread too. feel free to moderate)

Hi,

I have a master image designer on Ahazi, made her back when the game was new. After leaving the game for 6 months, I returned to find the stat migration, salon tents, new skin and hair colorsand new interfaces. It was quite anicesurprise and yet, the timer just about drove me bonkers. I made a great deal of money in a 24 hour period doing nothing butstat migrations and image designs. But like everyone else is saying, the cost in time is ...nail-chewingly long and that music, after 18 hours straight of image designs and stat migrations, that soft, dreamy music lulled me off to sleep in the middle of a stat migration. lol

I'd alsolike to discuss a few observations I've made:

1. People want more hairstyle options. Many players get a thrill out of a totally new look every day or every other day. Sadly, one or twoof the higher level hairstyles are asked for repeatedly because the other options for ladies are not very appealing. The men's options are a bit more widespread, but ladies almost exclusively ask for the same styles again and again. That's not good as it has created a disproportionate amount of female characters with the exact same hairstyle. Many men would like a new hairstyle option as well. To solve this, the game designers could do one of two things, either A) new hairstyles or B) decorations that can be added, such as floral wreaths, beads, a diadem (circlet), one of those electronic eyepieces a'la the Terminator, or hair attachments such as braids (this would work out for jedi padawans as well, as they need their padawan braids!), ribbons or the ilk.

2. Some races have alot fewer image designoptions than others, one of those is the Trandoshan species. Their scale color options are severly limited, their ridge options are limited, pretty much everything about the Trandoshans is limited with the exception of eye color. To solve this, the game designers could do one of two things, either A) add more color choices or B) allow scale pattern changes, instead of just straight, one color scales, allow an image designer to give them variegated scales if they'd like, the patterns for scales are as widespread as the various patterns on real lizards and snakes. Zabraks are also limited in horn and hair patterns and more specifically, skin color options. There are alot of zabraks and most of them want the new bold colors for their skin color andwe can't give them those options. Considering Darth Maul was a very bright red himself, it seems odd that Zabraks would be the ones who were shorted on skin color options.

3. I don't like the massage concept for image designers. It lends the image designer a seedier, more risqueprofile. Intimate touching like that, should not be something an image designer should have to do, and you know they'd end up having lots of requests for that just because of the implications. (hehe sorry) The concept is good, just not very Star Wars-y.

I just stared ID prof since patch 9.

- The stat timer takes a bit getting used to, but I make a macro that does this.

/image (target)

/say starting session:

/say time left 10 min

/pause 60

/say time left 9 min

/pause 60 ... etc til it gets to 0

this lets people who i am not id-ing at the time how muct time is left on the current customer.

I always do a stat migration wether they want it or not, i cosider it like a barber shop 10 min haircut.

I will do as much work as you want in those 10 min. i charge 10k plus tip. i have not had many complaint except "im broke, im new, im bla bla" so i just say "put what you want in the window" (i need the xp so i give them a break if they complain).

I dont count xp. I count by "sessions" every session is 2k xp. so for level 1 box its 5 sessions, level 2 is 10 sessions.

i dont do the baby lipstick or eyemakeup only. I always do a full stat session no matter what. it usualy takes 10 min to make some one happy anyway.

If they complain about the time I give them a free holo. then i try to sell them extra ones after the session for a bit more money.

YOU NEED TO MAKE A MALE FRIENDLY BARBER SHOP!!!! that is not covered in pink pillows. Make futuristic barber chiars or smoky room atmosphere with a barber pole out front.

Interesting Demon, I was thinking the same thing. If they ever give us the ability to work in Player Cities, (ie theaters or our own tents) I was thinking of opening a barber shop up. Perhaps serve some Caf and Sweesonberry Rolls to lure in some early morning folks.....

i love the ideas and the fact that our profession is always being looked over. My biggest concerns and requests were all listed . I do not like the id bug : client is still wearing helmet/diff. clothes in window than their char. has on at that moment. they have to re log in order to fix it. Also I really dont' like doing stat migrations. If they want a full makeover its fine because that usually takes 10 min anyway. However I have had several customers (mostly newbie) who have needed 2-5 stat migrations in order to get their armor to work just right. So, yes, i have given an hour of my time to a person. I would be so happy even with a 5 min timer reduction. It would help a lot. And, it would help to have a terminal droid or something. We would get a lot more respect and a lot more business if we were available at any time. I wouldn't mind doing a stat change while waiting for a shuttle I also wouldn't mind questing to get more abilities....tatoos, piercings, more colors, my own terminal, the ability to put up a vendor/sign for people to contact me for appointments. I love doing ID. I am proud to say that i grinded it at its worst, and I plan on staying Mid for myself and my customers. Thanks for listening and representing us. We appreciate it
