10. Ability to create logos (for PA's, spaceships, vehicles, clothes, etc)
For gods sake make the poor shipwright have a job... I would much rather see lekku thickness/length which was voted for alot on your recent poll.

I don't aggree with painting things either. I would go for some type of interior decoration as a compromise, but "prettying up" starship hulls is not where I feel our efforts should be invested.
How about allowing houses to hold a few extra furniture type items ( not resource stacks ) if placed by an Image Designer? Sure it would need to be refined....

I'll start a discussion on JTL and ID's. The only suggestion I've heard to date is ship logos or other exterior deco.
Corr hat off, I'm not fond of the argument that there should not be crafting or decorating b/c some ID'ers don't like the idea of doing it
Many do. And it has seemed logical to many, including Runesabre by his own admission recently, to consider decorating apart of "image" design.

I'm not in favor of the idea of decorating not because I don't think it fits with ID, but because I think it would be stepping on the toes of other professions. I have yet to see precident set for a single profession to customize the work of another profession…quite the opposite, in fact. I don't want to be responsible for a perceived nerf of another profession—even one that is not yet extant.
Now if only IDs got commands with which to rotate items on planes that cannot currently be manipulated, I'd be all for it…

Now that sounds like a nightmare to me. 10 degrees up, no 5 degrees down, no 10 degrees up again, hmmmm, how about 30 degrees up, ok back to where we were 10 steps ago... o.0

Y'know the rounded, beige furniture? Ever see the chests rotated 90 degrees forward and mounted on the walls in NPC city guild halls? Looks really cool. What about the 2Handed Axes that're crossed? Polished Krayt Skulls mounted flat against the wall instead of jutting out? Come on. You know that would be an awesome—and very in-demand—ability.

Oh please yes! Give Image Designers the second and third rotation access as command lineoptions and you would make me a very happy Image Designer. Give us new ART as welland I will take back every bad thing I have ever said about SOE. Oh, and I also agree, give the people making the furniture the option of coloring it, or let me buy coloring kits from them.

Start a discussion on it
If it's popular I"ll replace the JTL idea with it, logos are on the art content list anyhow

Yet a few other stupid ideas from Neige
- I've read here and there about craftingHolo-Disguise kits (working on batteries, for a short time). This would be absolutly great, from espionnage missions to lookalike parties. The false ID card (name, profession, faction) should be a Smuggler craftable item however.
- I'm not sure about ID salons in theed and coronet. Sure the place is handy BUT afk-grinders taking refuge in these salons just adds to the overlag in these places, as if the starport and the cantina weren't bad enough. As long as we dont have player placeable salons, how about moving these salons to some a bit out of the main track place ?
- An enhancement to the ID interface : a function to save some favourite "templates" a bit like some schematics to propose people with orginal "full looks" without having to go througt the whole process every time.
- I may be mistaked but the demand for "designing logos" would best be used for making tatoos and brands, not to paint starships.
Told you, always ask a french for stupid ideas.

I'd have to vote for 4. exp progression.
I think one of the easiest ways to solve this would be to allow exp to be stackable. So if I change your hair color i get 100xp but if i style it too i get 200, etc etc. The higher up on the ID prof you go the more things you can change thus the more xp you can stack. This would put the profession in line with other professions in that the higher up they are the more xp they get.
I also think the novice entertainer ID xp is really warped and out of line with other professions also.
I hope to oneday be master ID, but because I work irl (to pay for this game) i doubt i'll ever get there
unless something dramatic is done to fix the xp progression.
Please devs, this is a great game and a unique profression so kudos to you, but would you like to just klick on an option while your client goes for a smoko, for every second you play the game for 3 months? I doubt anyone would. So please use thost wonderful brains that created a great prof in the first place to make it reasonable to gain ranks in

I like the Idea of the stacking changes stacking XP, I think to keep people from changeing EVERYTHING every 1 or 2 mins, (10 on SM) it should have a "brain Burn" bar at the bottom of the UI and you can only stack until you run out of mind points, and as you go up the tree you also get Efficancy mods to lower the "Brain Burn" of the lower Lvl mods.
