Thread: Clearing up the confusion.
I am taking action. I am supporting Ril because as a person, Ril came to me and said he/she wants to do a good job and I believe that. I am not going to abandoned people who want to be correspondents and have a tough time or two. We all have tough times and only by working with each other can we get through them.
There is some animosity in the community but I hope we can work through that. The past few months have been difficult for the correspondents because they have had no guidance and that is why I was brought on board.
Please hang in there and lets give it some time. (...starting from when I came on board...)
Any fix we have received should have already been in place since launch. The reason why musicians and dancers do not see much attention is because development spent so much time on them in beta. In all actuality, dancers and musicians are pretty much a balanced class. But you people do not have half the bugs as we do. We have game-breaking bugs as well as bugs that just make our time as a ID miserable.
I am certain for every bug you musicians can pull out of your hat I can match you with at least 3 in our class. Since launch we have seen the following, and mind you these fixes were not necessary in beta:
1.) New UI (recent)
2.) Fixes to mon-cals (which was only done because of a patch blurb)
3.) Some slider bars that were in beta but not in launch such as: twilek eyebrows and color, twilek ears, and freckles (recent patch)
This means were loved? I hardly call this focus. At least your state of the profession was written a while ago we got ours 4 MONTHS later. 4 Months to now focus on change? Unacceptable...

Are you kidding me? Musicians have gotten one improvement since launch: improved buffs. To my knowledge, IDs have also only gotten one as well: the better UI. Saying that you're the least represented of the entertainers is complete BS; we've all gotten equal treatment. The UI was needed (I've used it as an ent before and after,) the buffs were a nice fix. Musicians still need a new sound as a reward for Novice Musician.
Oh, and Sintriosi just whines. That's why the DEs like him so much.
Although I do like NewJedi.
To say that IDs were the least represented isn't BS
Orkomage, nobody got down on Rilwayn for not producing results for us. In no thread do we complain about a lack of fixes because of Rilawyn. People merely complained because we saw no action from her. I believe we all understand the correspondent program enough to know that no matter how dynamic and forward-thinking and efficient and bubbly and can-do peppy zip go-get'em our correspondent is, the correspondent doesn't write and publish our game code and can't make the fixes happen faster. She can make them known faster, p'raps, but that's all.
Rilawyn, I don't find your dispassionate statement satisfying as an apology. I am not suggesting we are or are notowed one, but I think an apology would have gone a long way.
I also note in your definition of a correspondent that you say one should take down the opinions of the (community), present them to the developers, and return with the response, that it is inconsistent with your handling of the State of the Profession -- where it was too much bother to get our opinions, evidently. Can you explain this?
Thunderheart, should you read this, thank you for giving this some attention. Our forum is peaceful, we have no weapons, you ca-- wait, wrong index card. We are generally polite and friendly and courteous people, but I have the feeling that over a situation like this, we can get very catty and hold grudges a long time, so this is the last thing we need. I do hope there is some action you can take that will crush this imbroglio with one swift stroke.

I always believe in giving people second chances. I have to agree with the rest of you, that I'm upset about what our Corespondent has done to us in the past. Being more of a lurker here myself, I always found Kwee, not Ril, as the most helpful person here.
I'm not sure if Rilawayn really does have a big ego and wants to keep her title, or she's just very, very misunderstood.
I'd say, that if by the first of the year, we haven't seen any improvement in our corespondent's efforts here, then we should bring out the pitch forks and torches. I'm upset, very very upsetthat the answers to Kwee's questions were deleted because I never got to read them. Not that that is saying much, but we have a right to know what the heck is going on. And we deserve an active corespondent, only time will tell I suppose if Rilawwayn can be that person.
I have to believe that if Rilawayn fails us again, Thunderheart will replace her. Or, when the time comes Rilawayn believes she can no longer do this job, she will step down with the grade and dignity we expected of her in the past. Better late than never. From one stubborn person to another Rilawayn, prove me wrong. Be active here.
I'm challenging you to do this. Prove to us that you still have a passion for this profession, for this title, and for us. Nothing less will do.

Once again, I have spoken with Thunderheart, and he has said that he will stand behind me on this. So for the time being, I will still be the correspondant. Having said that, my ultimate wish right now, is to stop focusing on the past, and to get on with what needs to be done.

Right, Ril, I feel I know you well enough to call you Ril now. We're all pretty clear at this point on how it's your ultimate wishes that count most.Thunderheart seems to concur with you, so who am I to argue the point any further?
As far as anything I've said herebeing construed as a personal attack on you? I've only told the truth here. But I can understand that, from where you're sitting, having anyone speak truths about you that you'd rather keep hidden would seem like a personal attack. You shouldtake more careas to whose ears you whisper into.Quite a number of those ears seem to be attached to wagging tongues. You can thank me later for having kept all the really embarrassing information that was shared to myself.
Rieanna, no posts have been deleted. Just one starred to death by a lot of people that got tired of giving second chances already. You can go into your profile and change a setting that will allow you to viewall posts. Even ones that have been boo hissed into apparent oblivion.

Hehe the times i come here to look up ID information I always thought Kwee was the correspondent oops!
She is. She absolutely is. No matter who wears that title, I will consider Kwee my correspondent from now on. I will direct any questions I have to Kwee or directly to Thunderheart. From now on, Kwee is my correspondent.
Enough of this garbage. I am deeply embarrassed at the state of this forum. Why in God's name do we play this game if no one listens to us about what needs to be done? WE are providing the profits... why don't we get to choose our correspondent?

lol. I've seen a bit more than "some" animosity. I can see why you lead the care bears. No wait, that's Tenderheart.
Ummm, this seems excruciatingly melodramatic. This is a game, not real life.

Rilawyn is pathetic, selfish, and too pig-headed to swallow her pride and let somone passionate about the professionn have a chance at fixing what she botched. I knew Rilawyn in Beta, and at the time she was one of teh better image designers. I was a dancer, and I will admit it was Rilawyn that made me choose to be a ID at launch.
However, Rilawyn, you changed. Changed greatly. I no longer see that Master Image Designer who changed my hair in beta. The one I idolized. The person I see now I am ashamed to have ever been influenced by long ago. Sad...If you truely have passion for the profession, then please, save face and step down. I would feel better about myself if I can respect you once again.
:sarcasam on: And I want to to a "better" job, Kurt. Can I be correspondant now? :sarcasam off:
I can appreciate your sympathy for Rilawyn, I really can, but her time is up. All the other correspondants for the other professions have shown proven results in the last 2 patches. We were abandoned, Thunderheart, and you support this? Rilawyn blatently admitted she was delinquient and had more time for her PA and Starsider community than her Profession's Community. She has also admitted on her PA boards that she began a new account and gave Tygress to her husband on the condition he kept Master Image Design on Tygress just so she can keep her correspondant title. This is a person that souds dedicated to our cause? Its no wonder we havent seen any bug fixes that MATTER (ig: default hair color bug when changing hair styles, people putting zabarak horns on humans/twi'leks, etc.), or any new wish list content.
We're like the droid engineers of entertainers: correspondantless and void of any attention from development. We pay our 15 bucks a month as much as any creature handler or commando. Just because we are a small majority of your paying base does not warrent we get any less attention. Not seeing any attention from our correspondant in the form of posts, only fuels more flames to this fire, Thunderheart. I know you are here to resolve alot of issues, Kurt, but understand we are a very hurt community over all of this and your support for Rilawyn will only make it worse unless we see some QUALITY fixes and CONTENT by the December patch.
Kwee has done a exceptional job at gathering this community and she is everything WE ALL want to see in a correspondant. She posts frequently here, answers our questions, goes above and beyond with developer interaction, AND she ISN'T even OUR correspondant. You are saying Kwee doen't have hard times? She does all this work and it NEVER gets placed on teh development table because she ISN'T our correspondant.
But please, prove me wrong, Kurt. Sticky a post here showing us what the developers have in store for us in the December because of Rilawyn's great effort and your confidence in her. I have nothing left to offer but my trust.
