If You wish to slow down the grinders then make it so, you have to buy/craft/forage you supplies.

There are many things you could do, to make playing the game not waiting for SOME BRAIN DEAD timer to allow me to play again.

Start thinking like players and having fun...........

If you do this with all Crafting Skills OMG you are crazy........

Ralph please please come back, bring the brain bat and start using it on the designers, they forget we play the game

.......please

Dear NJ62,

Please respect that players have valid opinions whether they are veterans of the community or not. Your reply of "just don't start that" is not constructive or fair. If people have frustrations within the game then they are entitled to make their point. The ID part of the game has suddenly become very lopsided in favour of existing ID Masters (who you must admit have had a very easy ride to arrive at master) and very difficult for novices. The point is valid. I appreciate that the developers are working very hard and I enjoy SWG very much. However, the developers must be open to criticism as well as praise since there is an ongoing subsription for this game. If you don't wish to see valid comments from paying customers then I suggest that you refrain from using the community pages.

Redvers: Its too easy to put the blame on Kwee, so I very much understand NJ62's reaction to that. From what I have seen she's doing one heck of a job. I do understand that players need to vent, but its never a good idea to start pointing fingers to fellow players, and specially not to those who do so much to try and help out.

Also, not all excisting Masters had a very easy ride. You cannot simply brush them over one side just because there was a period when ID was easy. This doesn't automaticaly mean that excisting Master ID's had an easy ride, but I am sure many have.

And now i am really heading for bed. Nite nite. Hugs for everyone.

How about removing the ID timer and maybe even going back to the way the ID system used to be? Then in Publish 9, release the ID Revamp in a good and working way.

It's so not fair... everyone who Mastered ID before the publish are having a time of the life abusing this system and taking advantage of the fact that there's not gonna be anymore new IDs until the next publish so they get to charge insane prices.

Sure, not everyone charges insane prices. There's actually some that do ID for free and are around a lot and still do it for free!!! (Or just very cheap)... by doing this, it stops Novice ID's or people that want to at least reach Novice ID from getting customers since all the 1-hour-grind-before-publish Master ID's are stealing all the so-called "Real new Image Designers" after the last publish.

First let me say that I love the new ID Window and all this cool new colors and holoemeotes. As our correspondent you have done a very well job for all Image Designers and I want to thank you for this.

My problem is, that I skilled the Image Designer like a hobby. five thousands XP here and then two thousand XPs there. Every time I made a change to someone I asked, if I could practice a bit. Doing so I got 2 trees to the fourth box but now I am absolutely stuck. I need another 200k experience to master the ID and as a non-hardcore player who has just time to a few hours play 1-3 days a week I was convinced that I had chosen my Profession well as a dancer and ID. But now I am helpless.

200k experience earned by Stat Migration with another player are 334 MIgrations. Let us say there are absolutely NO delays between the attemps (which is not the fact) then you still need 3340 minutes or 57 hours to complete just two trees from the ID. And this is the calculation that assumes that another player aids me this whole bunch of time and stays inf ront of his PC just waiting another 10 minutes to klick "accept".

This is absolutely unrealistic. It is not juste the time needed to advance in the profession that bothers me, but instead of skilling a Rifleman or another combat profession which takes time too, skilling the ID is extreme-stupid and boring. Just make one klick every ten minutes. No hide and flesh Harvesting and no loot. No missions to undertake while skilling, so you can earn money. The ID is impossible to master now.

I understand that the devs might want to reward the current Master IDs for having the patience to wait so long for this revamp. But I would really prefer if they announce a date at which this timer is deleted. I have patience to wait a month or two but if the system stays like this I must find another profession to advance in. I am not interessted in skilling as fast as possible but there must be a reasonable result for my invested time.

Pleas ask the devs when they are going to delete this timer or the ID profession will die out.

Reread the message you're commenting on—n'Jessi wasn't saying anything about the developers; she was saying that bashing Kwee without any knowledge of what Kwee is and has been doing for us isn't productive and is totally unwarranted.

So, to recap, the comments weren't valid. They weren't constructive. And n'Jessi was right in chastising the poster.

Yes, please don't bash Kwee... this has been a pretty contentious update and she is trying hard to get our thoughts to the devs. Also, please keep in mind that she has been doing this, and rather well, before this recent publish so don't blame her because the issues are tricky.

Thanks,

Shmook

How about some fix for when a client goes LD? As it stands now, if this happens and I don't realize it in time to cancel the session before hitting the confirm button, I have to relog before I can initiate a new session. Even if I leave the tent and move 300+ m away (a trick that worked just the other day, but does no longer) or the client leaves the group, the session STILL doesn't end. Just giving the client a means of accepting the changes through the chat line would help. How about adding an /accept for the client to use the way you can type /join to join a group? Just last night, I had a client who wanted a stat migration, and, after waiting the 10 minutes, I clicked accept, then waited some more, only to have my client apologize and tell me that they have been having problems staying connected and had gone LD.

My comments were valid but i didn't back them up with any evidence.I based my Prior statements on the lack of attention she has given non MIDs on this board. If she is not paying attention to our needs on the boards why should I assume that she is pressing the devs to help us.

Kwee successfully lobbied to give MIDS a reduced timer. She says that MID timer and the Non-MID are two separate issues. But in fact they should have been implemented togeather. My reason being that it gives people even less incentive to visit a non MID.

It isn't that easy to get customers as it is now and its only going to get worse after next patch. I don't think you can blame me for being pesamistic; my future as a ID doesn't look good.

All we can do is trust that she's doing what she says she is, and I have yet to see any reason to mistrust her. She actively organized IDs to test the new changes before they hit live, pinpointing many bugs that would otherwise have plagued us all; she got Runesabre to personally answer our top ten concerns; she worked closely with our dev to give us a UI that is not worlds or even galaxies, but universes ahead of what we had. Are there still problems? Yes. There are. But Kwee has done an incredible job for all of us, not just the masters—she is not the one to blame, nor the one to harrangue in this matter.
