All we can do is trust that she's doing what she says she is, and I have yet to see any reason to mistrust her. She actively organized IDs to test the new changes before they hit live, pinpointing many bugs that would otherwise have plagued us all; she got Runesabre to personally answer our top ten concerns; she worked closely with our dev to give us a UI that is not worlds or even galaxies, but universes ahead of what we had. Are there still problems? Yes. There are. But Kwee has done an incredible job for all of us, not just the masters—she is not the one to blame, nor the one to harrangue in this matter.

I agree. In fact, I believe that all correspondents work rather hard for the betterment of their professions. Attacking them is usually rather pointless and wont get you anything. Seems like people do like to find a scapegoat though, which usually ends up being the correspondent or Thunderheart.

About the Timer, good idea, but 2min is wayto long, make 10-15 seconds.

I am so glad I had areadymastered IDwith Rykk's before the Timer was added, that wasonly by a few weeks. I agree that a timer is a good idea, but like most changes that are made the go way to fare and with little thought into its effects ithas on theenjoyment of the game to the Customer. The 2 minute timer is one of them.

To fix this there is a very simple change that can be done and that would be to set the timer to 10 or 15 seconds, that would but the master to around 20-25 hours of solid grinding, Keeping in mide that this is not a passive grind and it requires someone to help you. So keeping that in mind it will most likely take a good solid week of asking other player for help to Master ID, putting it well in line with other profession.

How about this as an Idea, require every designer, programmer, developer, CSR and Manger at SOE/SWGto grind from scratch every profession from novice, every time there is a major change like this and no sneaking around and tipping yourself credits, app or xp, behind are backs, also you can not do it during normal working hours as you still would have to get you regularwork done. (not going to happen) lol

Yes, hard to believe now that there is a profession harder to master then Bounty Hunter.

Just had to put my 2 cents in on this one

Actually 15 seconds would put the mastery time at about 8 hours, assuming a "Dupe" was available to grind through it. Assuming the 64/128 hour numbers are accurate, and 8 hours is too short in my opinion [for any profession].

Any chance we can get input from Runesabre with his thoughts on what has been posted on these forums? Wont continue to hash the issue, but all I have seen from the in game csr's response and from the powers that be here is that first it is working as intended to slow ID progress, and then that they have tech issues with fixing the timers, and that it wont happen till publish 9. Just hope they see the trouble this seems to have caused before they nerfsomething else in the future. By that I mean ID xp, not the ID prof, the changes are pretty cool

Hello,

I wanted to update you on some news about the upcoming Image Designer hotfixes scheduled for this week.

The following changes are on Test Center and you can check them out if you have a chance:

    • Image Designer: If a session starts in an Image Design booth, the session will cancel if they don't return to the booth within 30 seconds. 5-second system message warnings are given.
    • Image Designer: Fixed the UI sliders not reverting when hitting the revert button.
    • Image Designer: Added missing hair trim customization to male Bothans.
    • Image Designer: Fixed a bug where designers sometimes couldn't assign a secondary hair color.

    • Image Designer: Players should no longer be able to start multiple help windows.
    • Image Designer: When involved with an Image Design session, neither party can start another session.
    • Image Designer: If you leave the Image Designer tent during a session, you no longer get the time bonus.
    • Image Designer: When changing hair color, other players will now immediately see the change.

Unfortunately, we have run into technical issues with the changes we intend to do for the Master Image Designer timers. The changes to Master Image Designer timers are going to be implemented and released with Publish 9. I'm sorry for the delay on that change.

Can we get an update on when skillgain will be fixed? I hope to god it's before the MID timer changes go in, or you'll crush any last remaining hope non-master IDs have of ever mastering.

As I said to you in the Theed tent on testcenter before this went live, I don't really think they will see there is a problem until the metrics come out, they are analyzed and go through all the proper channels. When they see there is a problem, they will have to have a meeting to decide what to do about it, get it signed off on, send it to someone to put it on the schedule and then it has to be worked on. I think that it *will* get fixed, so we won't be the last image designers ever, but I really don't expect it until some mini publish in publish 9 or in publish 10. This isn't a bug fix like most of the changes they have made since our mini-publish. Its something that they will want to carefully plan out, and that is never fast.

did the devs even consider the CASUAL players in this game at all?? it will take a CASUAL player months to even get anywhere near master and thus get bored way before mastry. please get rid of the timers for everything except stat migration!!

Ok, I know this is extrodinarily redundant, but I am gonna add my voice to the many who have said "THE TIMER SUCKS!!!" I'm sorry, but I have 1 char who is a master and another who is novice (FRUSTERATED) and NEITHER can play very much if they get caught with someone who wants a stat change.....takes 10 minutes when I could have done like 5 people in that time and then gone and worked on my tailor stuff!!! NO ONE likes the timer (that I have met/heard of)....so......maybe....it should be DELETED!!!

<deep breath> Ok <smile> now on the other hand...I LOOOOVE the way everything else is set up on the ID new screen!! Colors are great, abilities are awsome, and I LOOOVE not having to do multiple IDs for one person who either can't make up their freaking mind or wants multiple things done! This ability was awsome and inspired!! (the multi tasking!)

Anywho! Great work devs!! Keep it up!

OH.......and..........timer.....not a good idea!!! (<innocent smile>

if you look at this as is: there isn't any way to "dupe" and it doesn't look like there will be, whick i do not have a problem with. so realisticallyit would take way more than 8 hours. so don't assume, because we all know what that does...
