Please put me down with toppdogg with the idea of putting terminals in the cantinas. I would much rather work there than in the tent. That's where my customers are. There are people there to socialize with. It's a central location. I'd much much prefer it.

The Terminal should be allowed to be put anywhere. Some peopl already have small, medium, and large houses as their "salons" and a LOT of us dont like the look of the Tent. Terminals are better they should be a craftable item and can be placed anywhere in any structure. Also they should be allowed to be reigstered on the planetary map. I think a possible solution to everyone having a terminal is to make them really expensive in resources to make or make them Novice ID only (Novice IDs and up are the only ones who can stat-migrate anyways)

The reason I don't want a tent is this:

I am not an employee of "Fly by Night Industries" I am not a transient.

And the tents arn't air-conditioned.

Fans have not been implimented yet. Do you think you could get them on the art schedule?

That is what I was refering to. We don't have any type of fan as an equippable item, nor the animations. We demand some mo-cap!

That's where the RP comes in…

MuscleBoundLunkHead: /emote fans Eicia gently as she works her magic.

Anyway, so as not to totally derail the thread, the totals as of right now (and tsk tsk on the two who voted twice) :

Tent: 2

Terminal: 11

It Depends: 1

Edit: I'll sum up the pros and cons and set them down in a coherent format once we get some more votes.

I would prefer a terminal, though it might also be nice if an ID could place a Merchant Tent as well.

My thought here: Merchants can place Vendors in any building or in a Merchant Tent, so why not allow IDs the ability to place a Terminal in any building or a Merchant Tent too?

Damn you people. "Both" is not an option! (Besides, Merchant Tents are small—I'd end up jabbing someone in the eye with a curling iron, and think of my insurance premiums after that!)

Hehehe, OK keep me as a terminal vote, Kwee can just add Maisland's excellent point as a note in her report. I'm sure it would have great support by the player base.

P.S.

Tent

  • Con

    • Can't get that seedy backroom not so legal look

I would want an ID Tent that can be decoated. Just like the cantina, it would come with the necessary items but allow decorations. But my worry is how do people find me. Right now everyone know to come to Bestine to do a stat migration. They do not have to go from town to town looking for a populated ID tent. As for the rest of the ID work, I do them in the cantina but it takes twice as long on the timer. ( I think it is twice) I have done many changes inside a cantina.

So, I do not want either of them if it makes me hard to find. I remember going from town to town looking for an occupied cantina to get rid of my battle fatiegue. Whatever is done, we must be easy to find. Having one tent per planet does that. So ID Tent and the occupied sign need to go together.
