I think that many people would agree that the developers aren't really focusing on what the IDs wanted for their profession.

Most of the players in SWG want to make their avatar unique in some way or another , in order to have distinguishability between each other.

Perhaps the developers should do some sort of assessment , such as a poll, to see what the IDs want. To me it seems like they hear what we would like to do, and then come up with their own ideas from some "consultant" in the meetings that they hold.

Raph, please sit back and play the game you've created, ask yourself what you would like to change and then Listen to your player base to see if your ideas concur.

I really think you guys dropped the ball on this one. Image Designers need something, but this is not it.

As much as I hate to say it as an Image Designer, I wish they'd just changed the palettes and UI and spent the rest of the time on other professions—I really, really hate those holo-emotes, and I don't like the idea of nerfing the entire playerbase for our gain. I don't want to be a stat migrator, and I don't want to see these unStar Warsy things in use. Maybe fixing the smock would have been a better use of time…

Well sorry to feed this post but....We already have 'fireballs and golems' But they are in the form of flamethrowers and droids...

But, true, the little fuzzy pink kittens are a bit over the 'cute' scale. This doesn't change the fact that there are a number of items in this game that 'break' the hallowed 'star warsy'ness of the game, because folks its a MMORPG. If they made the game 'to regs' on this concept of the EU it would be boring. Waypoints? Gone..no more glowing markers in the sky to see. Other factors? The glowing numbers over peoples heads, never saw that in the books/movies/comics etc. Stats? Gone..(They are only in the RPGs) The ability to tell how strong a monster is? (The little con symbols) gone, unless maybe you're a wookie or a scout.

True, they could have put the holo-emotes on the backburner and tried to work on some of the other bugs, but they didn't so deal with it. The devs have been banging their heads over combat rebalance, the death watch bunker, the jedi bounty problems, even the jedi revamp. I'm sure they had some 'down time' and added the holos for a change of pace. While on the topic of bug hunts, THANK YOU devs for finding that darn '5th hit goes through armor bug' I know that one must have been a pain to track down.

I like the new ID things but i have just one question, can someone please define holo-emote?
