Hey Ood,

I sent a post for you and was wondering if it was possible in the near future, to actually show armor wear and tear and maybe even weapons. Would be nice to see your armor as it degrades past 50 and getting close to 0 to reflect this visually.

Also would like to see the fixes for the weapons graphics where the barrels and scopes show up for ALL guns not just select few and also for people seeing the character to see these modifications and not just the person using them..

Thnx..

I really want to be able to change species however I HIGHLY suggest that it be limited to once a month or once every 2 months of RL time, otherwise people will be changing thier species as situation calls for.

Need a lot of str con? swithc to a wook or trandoshan, need high mind cool just swithc to a zabby etc.

Make this change a (mostly) cosmetic/ playstyle thing not a I am going to go fight X mob I need to be A species thing.

Changing species would be exploitable!

Example: You're an Imp wookiee and want an AT-ST, it will cost you over 28k faction points. So you go to an image designer to change your species to human, grind up to the 9k faction points to get the AT-ST, then go back to the image designer to change you back to a wookiee.

Things like this will happen if image designers can change species...

Domacett is right -- female Twileks don't have ears. It wasa point of contention during Beta. This wasn't considered a bug then, why is it now?

They don't have ears, but they do have ear bumps, which the player can customize the size of. My guess is that the ability for IDs to size theses bumps is what is being referred to.

Random other things

Gender change/species change/breast augmentation/reduction- I'm checking - this will be a Lucasarts decision- I have a mail sent out about it. Changing a player's species would actually change their stats, so that one is a maybe at best.

So we'd be able to get sex changes and (even weirder) species changes?

Awright!!!!

While we were in San Diego for the motion capture shoot, we captured some image designing animations- so you'll actually look like you're doing something when you're fixing someone up. Kinda silly but I really like it- and we captured similar animations for tailors, chefs, droid engineers, and other professions.

Oh! Fun!

Um, no, the species-gender change has been beaten to death already. Beaten absolutely to death. We have resolved only a few things about it:

* some people think it would be awesome and they'd pay top dollar for it

* some people think it's ridiculous and unnecessary and will quit because of it

* some people want it because it's a quick way to gain rank in the Empire and still be the species you choose, or have buff Wookiee stats and cool human armor

* some people want to prohibit it because it's a quick way to have your cake and eat it too

* bio-engineers think they should be involved somehow, cripes, bio-engineers need something to do for crying out loud, please, can they have some business? or maybe a free pair of shoes, something? anything?please? They work so hard to get to bio-engineer, you see, and they really think with a couple more fixes, maybe the developers will have a chance to really give them something nice -- not working skills, of course, but maybe some kind of /emote or something, maybe, or some special hat, yes, a hat would be nice, a hat that says 'Hug Me, I Am A Bio-Engineer' or 'My Bio-Engineered Pet Can Beat Up Your Probot.'

* some people are grizzled, cynical old droid engineers who laugh harsh cackling laughs at the naive bio-engineers, DEs who remember the good old days before beta one, before their spirits had been crushed, and they come into the discussion smelling of Droid Lube and malt liquor, unshaven, stinky, waving a paper bag with a bottle of Jawa Beer hidden inside, and with a slightly glazed expression they reminisce about an idea they once posted Back In The Day about a 'droid that could assist an entertainer with light show projections, or show holo-movies, or provide coin-op Image Design, and then the droid engineers begin to drool, swigging at the Jawa Beer, one eye tracking aimlessly at the wall, and they suddenly twitch and begin to harrangue anyone within listening distance that y'godta haff droidzh, y'see? 'cos it'sh Shtar Warzh. *hic* Iramemmer when we din haff none of theezhe... (blows saliva, waves bottle)... PPPokemon Warzh, right? Hee hee! Nows'all *hic* bazn*hic* banz*hic* bazn*hic* bazn*hic* rancors. Once ol' Rusty here wazh the belle of the ball, wazn't you, ol' gal? Probotsh wazh the queen of th' combat. An' now loogat 'er. S'the onny one leff, still got the shine on 'er. Howdja liketa have a genuine probot? C'mon, be a shport, I jush need a Tatooine Sunburn, c'mon, be a pal...

* some people are only reading this thread because it's got a red name on it

* some people are chefs and politely point out that they can't make the DE a Tatooine Sunburn because the factories don't work

* and I think there's a market for species change, but it's not the point of this thread, so if you could please go back to the Dev Tracker and wait for the patch notes... nothing to see here...

What if changing specie would only change your look and not your stats or imps penalties?

That would fix the imperial problem AND the problem stated at top by the Dev Csr about stat switch fuss

Gender change sounds like a neat feature to give to master image designer (they could use a new command)

Species change should definately have a draw back to it so that it is uncommon. Such as time limits on how often you can do it, or how long it lasts, or randomly changing back at the cloning center when you die, or something else bad. Maybe evenlose something valuable such asstat-migration points. Justso that only those desprate would change their species. Also, species change fits better at master bio-engineer
