The down time sucks, but we really appreciate being kept informed of what's going on, Rune. This is a great trend that you guys have started (with this issue and the BH Jedi mission problems). I do hope it continues in the future.

And to think, you guys are undermanned this week, because part of the crew is at E3. Kudos.

I do web-application development and I can attest to the fact that it's quite easy to stare at a chunk of code for an hour or two just trying to spot a missing semi-colon, when you've had too little (or too much) caffeine. And that's in smaller, simpler codechunks, not something as huge and complex as Galaxies.

Were I in their shoes, I would have rolled the whole thing back on all but two servers (to get the majority of users back on their feet) and used those two for testing/tracking this bug. I applaud them for being able to beat on it hard and fast enough to find it in even six hours. Though I also understand the withdrawl symptoms so many users are going through. ^^

I can always paste it back in again. I'm used to their practices here so I make copies of everything I post. Normally my posts only get removed when they have truth in them.

And I will not stop being an **edit** either. I don't get all the time in the world to play and today was going to be a good day. But Ahazi is screwed because of a publish (ready?) pushed back a day so they could make sure it worked. And yet it didn't work, did it? Sorry Dora but I feel migrating base times, bugs in game since beta2, and the like should be a priority in this game. And yet all those problems have remained for almost a year now. And instead of fixing old code they keep adding new code and breaking everything because the core of the game is still not stable. I think those things should come long before new dungeons, new weapons and especially "soapbubble" headstyles.

WOW! That's harsh! Do you really think that the devs are really that bad? Have you ever had any server based problems in the work place? Perhaps you should mention this to your network guys and see what they have to say. Many high end companies have simular issues. The test server environment is much smaller then the player servers, so not all problems can be caught. Not to mention that there is millions of lines of code to go through and there are only so many Devs. I highly doubt that Sony would have mediocre people running their systems

You hit the nail on the head there. Also it doesn't help to role out a patch when most of you're devs are offsite (at E3 pickin their noses).

"---have to thank them for finding the problem so quick. This game does have bugs but so does every single online game ever made. EQ is how old? That still gets broke all the time. Whole zones crash---"

Uhm right galahad, who runs eq again? Some with S in the name I think...

Anyways I am not complaining about some few but regular throw backs, but if you are in the game from release, you have to admit it felt like paying for a beta test, didn't it. I am playing and I have played plenty mmog, and yes I admit unlike a single player game, mmog come along with much more problems for the devs, but hell I am paying for this, I don't even want to know, how much money and xp I have liost through rollbacks in the early months. And alltho its constantly getting better (with almost every release) there is still some bad taste left. I admit SWG is a huge project and you can't create a game with which is fine for every single customer, especially in a SW setting. But that is the point, its hard to fix existing bugs, improving proffessions, adding new content and keep some balance to the game, when you are listening to the complains of some few guys that are annoyed becausethey "can't" rule other player(applies for both sides of the gcw--->which is pretty fekked since gold anyways).

I thought that the Test Centre was for testing... also know that they experienced difficulties with the update there (cause of the 1-day delay)

Then why introduce it to the servers if they aren't sure that it works fine?

Seems that they took a gamble and lost BIG time!

I assume that the update wasn't ready at all but they had to meet a 'deadline' or something...

too bad that it costs me a day of subscription-money...

have not moaned at anything else implemented since the start of the game, but a whole days downtime, to take away our ability to migrate our own stats has really got to me, i cannot believe they have taken away this ability from all players - jus to improve the ID economy - just not liking that decision.

"the whole ID-profession is useless.....
just like entertainer.....ppl grind it for their jedi-slot ...as soon as they become master they drop it asap."

The original intent of entertainer was to be a place to relax and be social. It is not a useless profession. This is also a great field for someone like me, who doesn't like to PvP or hunt, but likes the many other values the game offers. I started my character "madam" with the intention of being an entertainer. Entertainer is not the only field that have been corrupted by hologrinders. I see many players who are AFK fighting 'meatlumps' or surveying resources. Maybe you should take a closer look at the different professions and not single out entertainers.
