Hello everyone,

As you might have noticed, we are experiencing some server instability today as a result of the changes we applied to the servers this morning. The programmers are working hard to find the cause and resolve the issues. There is a possibility that we will have to revert out all of the changes we did today, including the Image Designer changes if we are not able to find the issue. I will keep you updated as new information comes my way.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

/em crosses fingers

/em calls upon mystic forces

/em chants "find the problem, find the problem"

I hope that helps!

(BTW - due to the volatile nature of these message boards I thought I would explain that I meant that in a joking manner. I'm so excited about these changes that I'll do anything to be able to see them!)

Was it really a good idea pushing a patch like this so soon before E3 when half your people are focused on that event? It really should have waited till afterwards.

why dont you guys copy a live server onto one of the TC servers before releasing a patch and then roll the patch onto the copy of a live server. that would allow you test on a real shard without this sort of interruption. you did it once for bria. it only makes sense to do that.

You know, I was thinking it had been a while since a botched patch day. But I've taken to saying this game needs to get back to its roots (pre-holocrons) so rollbacks and offline servers here we come

Just messing with ya guys, get the servers back up and make a good show at E3. Like what I've seen so far

We are all talking about the same patch here right?

The 8.1 mini publish?

The one you guys delayed a day just to fix problems?

What the hell happened on that delay day did you decide to go golfing instead?

I know this sounds crewd and I apologize but I can't help feeling kinda let down after you actually took an extra day to try and help us out by working out last minute bugs, and yet despite it all this still happened.

Why are two servers locked and 5 offline and the rest up? I happen to be on a server that is offline. But if the code was pushed to all servers are the servers that are up working as intended? Is there a hardware issue with the ones that are down. Will some of the servers code be pushed back? When are you going to make the call to revert back.. how long can I expect to be down?

Can the network status page be updated to reflect this. A lot of people go there to get their information.. from what it says its supposed be back up at 1pm est. its 2:30 now

I just posted this in Announcements. It looks like we won't have to revert any changes.

Update: 1:21pm CST

Here is the latest information on the current server instability we are experiencing.

The programmers believe they have found the cause and are working on a fix for the issue. Test Center will be (or soon will be) unavailable to players as they test the changes.

We are expecting that Bria, Ahazi, Bloodfin, Chilastra, Eclipse and Chimaera will be up and running with the new fixes within 3 hours.

Gorath is currently up and running but with limited players. It is not open for new player logins but is running internally with several hundred players.

After the fix is applied to Bria, Ahazi, Bloodfin, Chilastra, Eclipse and Chimaera and we verify everything is stabilized, all other servers will have to be brought down one at a time throughout the day to apply the fixes and restarted. There will be an in-game warning when the time comes for a particular server to be restarted so players will have ample time to get to a safe spot and logout. This restart will include Gorath.

We appreciate you patience and am working hard to get you back to playing as soon as we possibly can.
