I had it done to me last night, and I must say that I love the new look.

I am not sure how it was done, but I dont plan on going back for a while.

I am gonna have to agree with the last poster...I too don't think it is a exploit. Think it to be more of a bug. I don't really care what ppl do with there characters..don't see the big deal in it either...whatever they want to do...let them...no biggie.

An exploit is defined [in a game] as using a bug to give yourself an unfair advantage.

i see it as this, a bug is a bug when it isnt being used on purpose, a bug becomes an exploit when you use it to your advantage or to do things not intended to happen in the game.

These are NOT exploits ppl. Don't you know exploit from bug? or bad program design?

Exploit=Interrupting others game play

Bug=Bad program design

See the difference? ok for the image design one it is a bug because it don't affect anyone else in game other then those who want it.

An exploit is not defined as interrupting someone's gameplay, that would be griefing. An exploit is using the game systems in any way not intended by the developers. Be it credit duping or slapping another species' hair or tentacles on your head, if it's not intended and you KNOW it's not intended you are taking advantage of an exploit and risking your account to be suspended or banned. A bug can be an exploit if it allows something to happen that is not intended.

The bug in this situation is that modifications can be used for species they are not intended for. The exploit is using the bug to get your character or another character a non-intended hairstyle. Whenthe ability to usetext commands toalter height to huge and tiny proportions (beyond what was intended)was fixed acouple of months ago, the practice was referred to as an exploit in the patch notes.

When Image Designers were able to use text commands to access skills they didn't yet qualify for, and it was fixed, theterm exploit was againused in the patch notes.

I would not brag about using an exploit on a forum devs have access to.

Sigh. Heckler, before you go around flaming other people who made perfectly reasonable posts, maybe you should make sure not to make a fool of yourself by posting a subjective definition of a term that does not match the game specific definition at all. Kwee got it right.

Ok, this is my first post on this board (was just popping in) and this caught my attention. An ID exploit? Bwahahahahaha! Phear the ID exploiter of doom! Hahahaha! Twi'leks with hair roam the galaxies killing all in their paths.

If you want to see a REAL exploit, talk to a CH and about how it's possible to call *every* pet from their datapad. Now that's a real problem. Not twi'lek with hair and humans with horns. Maybe it's like plastic surgery.

Sorry for the drive-by post.

Darn you Achilles467! I'll find your heel! By the way that CH exploit has been taken care of. It was either in todays patch or in the patch notes on the test server.

As for interspecies hair/frill/lekku/whatever changes...it's just wrong! Dirty and wrong! For all of those who support it, I'm sure you'd be fine if there was a bug that let ID's give a womans full chest to a man too? Of course you would. Your freaky like that.

This bug/exploit needs to be fixed. It's part of our profession and deserves as much attention as any other bug/exploit.

Let's imagine for a second that I could change you appearance Achilles. I could make any change I wanted and you didn't need to accept it would just happen. Thankfully this doesn't happen anymore (to my knowledge anyway).

This imaginary exploit I just hypothetically used....how important is it?

Afterall it's only the way you look.

I'm guessing you'd be less than happy.

An exploit is an exploit is an exploit. Whether you define one to be more severe than the other does not change the fact that both are exploits. And as has already been pointed out, bugs/exploits regarding the appearance might actually be much more severe to some folks than the CH exploit of multiple pet calling is. Take a look at the body customization bug thread, for instance. I imagine you'd also consider it insanely funny if an image designer who happened to hold a grudge against you abused one of the body related bugs to mess up the looks of your toon. With no other image designer being able to fix you, perhaps, just to make things even more amusing for you? After all, it's not a real exploit, eh?

I still call it a bug. No one gets any advantage to being a lizard and having twilek lekku's. The only person affected by this are the ppl that want to be affected. The CH exploit gives the CH an unfair advantage when fighting NPC or PvP...exploit..umm ya....because that affects everyone that that person comes into contact with..giving it the name..exploit.

I don't think this is as big of deal as most of you here...I think it rather funny..but don't stress over it too much guys..they will have it fixed and it won't happen anymore.

Don't worry be happy
