Hello, I am wileykat lyonsbayne of chialistra..i come in peac...ack, wrong post.

ok, well i would like to know any and all information on the exploits that you all know. i have seen several characters with hair/ horns that they are not suposed to have.My first example is Uzo a twilik dance who dances in bestine she has horns(she is not loose..the pointy things on ZAB's heads..ack), also a trandoshan in naboo a dancer aswell who has a ponytail, she is a master ids friend who is the culprit wh odid this awsome thing to her i forgot both of there names but know that they are RL friends and both seem kool(ps uzos kool aswell ^_^). My friend and guild mate atim has seen and helpe dme investigate these awsome phanamanonononons, well he knows a NOVICE ENT. who used an exploit and gave herself a bothan hair style..soo we all know these "buggs"/ exploits are out there . i for one say they rock and should be aloud to continue, if you really wanna give the ID power give him(/her) the power to interspecies the hairdoos ^_^.

why you may ask because there are alot of kool hairdoos out htere htat i cant get but would love to, also i want horns like uzo =-( so i can have the Zab hairstyle that looks like the bothan one (*nudge* you kno wht eone with the mowhawk thingie)

oh well please lemme know ANY nad EVERYthing you can about this..i fyou come up with some thing that can work ingame ill tip you what ever cash i have on me IF it works

I would not advise pursuing this topic. Exploiting can result in being suspended or banned from the game.

But about actually making this a legitimate ability for IDs. I think making hairstyles universal to all species is great. There are a lot of hairstyles that would fit any species. However, I don't like the idea of making things like horns available to everyone. It simply doesn't make sense.

i dont think they should allow inter-species hairstyles, each species has their own and in the books and movies you dont see twi'leks with human hair or bald zabraks or bothans with horns etc etc. Also i agree 100% with kwee, would be wise not to use the exploits.

I'm sorry. I should have specified. When I said I think hairstyles should be universal to all species, I did not mean to include species that have no hair options at all such as Twi'lek or Trandoshan.

I've only used this openly once. (I used it out of curiosity to see what it looked like). That was I dressed my twi'lek up as a zabrak for haloween.

just so u guys know some of the exploits have been fixed just messed around with the command lines and you can no longer change hair interspecies colors also i tried frills on myself and it dont work either

heheh I knew the dev's would "fix" it like that. Why wouldn't they just do a check to see the id change and the race instead of just disabling the command? They should have put the checks in the game before they put the command in anyways.

My friend (a Wookiee) came to me for help. He said that someone offered to image design him, and he refused, but he ended up with the dreaded frills!

I have 3-2-2-1 in the Image Design skill tree, and he was wondering if I could make the frills go away. I tried everything that I could think of, and he's still stuck with them.

Can anyone offer advice on clearing this up?

(since this thread is dealing with exploits, I thought this was appropriate to bring up...)

I can't say that I really see the problem with cross-species modifications/designs. I've been a Master Image Designer on Bloodfin since very early in the life of this game, and there are always people asking for things that their race cannot provide, yet should by the laws of logic be available to them, e.g. tattoos (last I checked the only thing needed for a tattoo was some uncovered skin and ink, not a lot of race requirements for that).

I am a huge fan of the interface changes the devs implemented in the last large patch, however, we've been told that we are low priority as far as new styles go. This means that we are limited to the same hairstyles for the time being, and people want different things. They want ever-changing characters, yet we do not posses the abilities through the game naturally to give them new changes because we have a limited number of styles that have been with us since the launch of the game.

If a twilek comes to an id and says that he/she is sick of the handfull of designs that twileks have (some of which simply are just not appealing/flattering), then I see no problem with giving them something different so they stay interested in the game and in their character.

If you are someone who says "well those races should not have hair/horns/frills or whatnot" then think of it as a wig; anyone can wear one.

And as people have previously stated, some of the id commands have been fixed since the early days of the game, but some still work. You can change the hair/haircolor of any race still. Tattoos cannot be applied to any race other than one that it is native to. This goes for facial hair as well. These changes are desirable at this time of year specifically because it is halloween, on bloodfin there is a big halloween party that another master id is throwing so everyone is going to go to her haunted house in costumes. This is part of the fun of the game. If this were taken away or banned then player events such as this would not happen. It sounds small, but it is a fun little side-distraction in the game designed to make people enjoy their experience more.

What makes this a part of the game is that we are a profession of style and fun. What we do makes other people enjoy the game more by providing them with a sense of satisfaction with their character. We make decent money, but lets face it, there are not a lot of image designers who are in this for the money because there are many more professions much better suited for that. Instead we are in this for our enjoyment and to make the game more enjoyable for other people in the game. If someone feels that the game would be more enjoyable to them with hair instead of horns or a tatoo then why should we tell them "Sorry, if you want something else you have to create a new character and lose all of your experience and skills." I personally feel that is wrong and malicious and is counter to the intention of our profession.

Twi'lek should not have hair. The hair model doesn't fit their head. Same goes for any other non hair race, or hair race with non hair head bits.

Oh, and to get rid of frills on a race with no head adornments, set hair/lekku/frills/whatever to style 127.

I agree with Zeik.... Which will of course get us both flamed... then again he's the one that gave my twi' her bob.

I adore it. And yes.. I get ALOT of questions about it.
