Thread: New Image Designer Screenshots
Nah, I'm looking forward to this like I look forward to almost every patch.
What I will say is that I would like to see body tatts for Zabrakks and scars but that's just me because that'd be cool!
ok, maybe it will be cooler in game....somehow...I'm still trying to think how....oh well...
Can you add more Mon Cal colors....I want to be white.

I had to check to see if it was April 1st again already when I saw these screenshots because I couldn't believe my eyes. I do hope there is an option to turn this off. I am all for Image Design but this is Star Wars, not Barney's Funhouse. I'm not one of those people who hates things because they're "kiddy"; this just doesn't fit Star Wars. I'd say the same thing if we were fighting poka-dotted giraffes and solving remedial math problems to open doors, while some happy, simple music is gleefully playing in the background. Because that's the image I get when I see these emotes. I don't understand where this idea came from...
Again, please give us the option to turn them off clientside.
Hehehe, I hope the "floating shrub" it one of the Holo-Emotes

The_Shruberer has nothing to do now that there is no more floating shrub....

I actually just checked my own settings on this, since I don't ever remember receiving a newsletter. My email address is entered correctly, and I have the box checked to "receive SWG newsletter". But I have never once received a newsletter. I have had the form filled out for several months.
Can you check into this TH? I think something's broke.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news LadyLeala, but everything on this end is functioning correctly. Are you using a hotmail type of service? Some types of free email systems screen out the email as part of their anti-spam systems.
To remedy this, we'll have the newsletter archive for you.
Yeah, it's a yahoo address. I'll try a different one for a month and see if it works. Thanks!
Thunderheart, with all due respect, could you please get an answer for some of the non-sugarcoated questions and answer for us players who bought this game for starwars, what the starwars explenation for these magical special effects are?
I'll be frank and pithy. Ever since launch, I never thought this game was close enough to the starwars look&feel; unless these ID enhancements have some sort of starwars or even generic-tangible reason for existing, then I will cancel my subscription. This could very well be the last straw for me. I've played my fair share of star wars games and i can honestly say that SWG is the worst "star wars" game there is. To clarify, as a game SWG isn't that bad really; as a Star Wars game, SWG is terrible!
I know that the opinion of one doesn't matter when business comes to business and i understand that. It's about group opinions, usually the majority. My leaving probably will not accomplish much but i personally will have no choice. For me personally, i can only have fun playing a STAR WARS game if the game is actually based on Star Wars.
Say what you want of me, flame me. It doesn't really matter because i gotta do what i gotta do.
peace to you all.

I think the images look fun.
For all those complaining about it being non-star warsy, don't you realize that SW:G is part of the Star Wars franchise and that some things might first be introduced into the EU through this game? I think it would be all too funny if George Lucas saw these ideas and decided to use them in a street or cantina scene in the next movie. How alien would it seemto see people decorated by holo-projections? Pretty neat touch, actually.
As for devices, just assume it's nano-projectors or something.
and I've tried with 2 seperate email addresses...it says everything is A-OK but
still, i've never gotten a newsletter.....
