I really haven't had too much grief over the profession in the 3 days I've had it..
I have gotten two "LOL MY FEIND CAN DO IT FOR FREE!@!!" fools, but I've gotten more people that were happy to pay more than I asked for their trouble. Maybe it's just Chilastra though.
The thing that really bugs me the most is when people are hesitative to make payment through the Image Design GUI because they don't have enough offhand (All is in bank). I just let them know that it takes the Credits from your bank if you don't have enough on your person, and everybody's happy. Not really annoying, but it gets a chore to explain it x times a day.
However, I have made a short macro for the Image Design griefers.
/say Look, if you don't likemy prices, find someone else to do it for cheaper.;
/say Or better yet, kill yourself.;
/addignore;
/deny;

Heh... the only person I have ever done /deny to was an idiot who sent Merakai on Bria (one of my Bothans) a /tell saying that "No one is watching you because you look like a freak." (My Bothan was trying to get Entertainer Healing xp for her last box in Dancer at the time.)

I'm both an Image Designer and a Master Musician. I have a set of rules (for my musician business)in a macro, just for the customers who think they can pull one over on me. Here it is:
These are my rules:;
/pause 7;
1: EVERYBODY pays me 10K for buffs, unless I tell them they don't have to pay me anymore. If I feel I know a customer well, I may stop demanding payment up front. That doesn't mean that I will accept less than 10K for a buff.;
/pause 7;
2: If I agree to a lower payment for some reason, it doesn't mean that I'm okay with that customer paying less in future.;
/pause 7;
3: If a customer continues to pay me less than my asking price, that's fine - until the point that he or she has denied me one full payment (and don't think thatI won't keep track). At that point he or she will not get service from me - ever again.;

Its really annoying to get the following situation as I'm out hunting with some friends or doing quests:
Random player: Hi, can you migrate my stats?
Me: Not right now, sorry. You have to be in an ID tent to do that.
Random player: Don't lie! You just don't want to do my stats. I know you can ID me here.
Me: Yes, I can do all other ID work outside of the tent, but you have to be IN the tent for stat migration.
Random player: I really need you to do my stats NOW! I know you can do them here!
O_O
I've had similar situations happen quite often.

That reminds me of a request I once got:
Anonymous Guy: "Could you migrate my stats please?"
Me: "Sorry, not right now. I'm taking the shuttle to Tatooine."
AG: "But I'm at the same shuttleport, waiting here right next to you"
Me: "But the shuttle is coming in 4 minutes."
AG: "Well how long does a stat migration take?"
Me: "It takes 10 minutes and it has to be done in an ID tent."
AG: "10 minutes? Can't you do it faster than that?"
At that point the shuttle arrived and I was spared further silliness.

Maybe there ought to be some information about stat migrations in one of the loading screens - might save us a lot of hassle.

I just popped into the Theed ID tent in Chimaera (looking for a haircut) and as it was busy, did what any self-respecting customer should do.
Shut up and wait. Join the queue and not hassle anyone...
After a while, I commented on the fact it was busy... "Busy night I guess" and a Hair-stylist asked what I wanted (makeup, eye colour and hair colour/style) and said he could sort it out right away. after a few minutes, I'd gotten the specific look I was after and paid him the price he stated was "whatever, it's just a haircut". So, paid him 5k and went merrily on my way....
Cheers, whomever you were you hairdresser...

I got thisa couple days agoon Eclipse.
I was in the Bestine Salon with my Master Tailor tag up. There was a Novice in there practicing on herself. I was in there to change my eye colour and then was going to be off to stock my vendors. This guy comes in and says to me "Hey, can you migrate my stats?" I tell him that the Novice would be more than happy to--and she was very happy at the idea of getting some better xp. He then informs me that stat migrations can only be done by Master Image Designers. I smiled and politely told him that it was a Novice Skill--he could check the skill boxes (ctrl+s) and see for himself. He argued and argued until I just excused myself, hopped on my speeder, and drove off.
While still close enough to hear him, I heard him ask the Novice to migrate his stats.
Drives me nuts when people act like they know more about a profession you've been playing since September.

Another thing people seem to think is that Masters can do it faster. I've had a huge line and announced to everyone that if they are here for stat migrations Any ID level can do them. No one leaves the line. Okay. Everyone who sees the timer says "10 minutes?? I thought you could do it faster because you are a master? Arg."
After the third time it happened I also started telling people it was 10 minutes, even for masters. I'm starting to wish I had a (check my bio) tag lol. I hate spamming.

okay, i've got a new one that i just couldn't believe last night...
girl came into the tent, said she needed ID work, and seeing as everyone else was zombie botting/grinding I said I'd help her. Invite, go over all the hairstyles at least 2 times each, she picks one, i accept, she accepts. and not only do i get no tip whatsoever..... she asks ME for money (!!!!!!!!)
/BOGGLE
then when i politely say "no", she proceeds to call me every name in the book
people are unbelievable sometimes.

not at all
just something like "can u give me money"
and she didn't look like a true noob, who i would've felt inclined to help out (had they asked with a little more tact)

The first ever grief I've ever had as an Image Designer in 4 months was the other day.
I'd just logged in at Coronet Starport and this guy was in front of me.
Him: Can U stat migrate me?
Me: No sorry, I don't perform stat migrations.
Him: May I ask why?
Me: well at the moment I'm in full battle armour.
Me: Apart from the torso that is.
Him: How much?
Me: I'm not Stat Migrating at the mo'. Goodbye.
I Leave a few minutes later
Him: UR gay
Me: Can you leave me alone please?
Him: How can I leave you alone. I can't leavewhen you're so stubborn.
Me: How old are you? Really?
Him: Why do U want to know my age?
Me: So I know how old the person is I'm adding to my very short ignore list.
Him: Ur ignore list. Now I'm crying.
Me: goodbye
Then I added him to my ignore list.

You made the poor boy cry. You really shouldn't be so mean to children.

Edit: btw, if people say you're gay, just say: "Yes, why? Are you interested?" That'll send em running
