yes it is still true about the commando skill mods. you are right flame thrower speed and such do not yet exist in clothing/armor attachments. Since heavy weapon speed is no longer a mod in the game, the mod will not serve a purpose (for the time being).
as for repair, thank you for pointing that out i have added it to the list
It is just like the other repair mods in the sense that it has been tested, but doesn't seem to have a function. this might be fixed in the future, and there are some people that say these do help, so having some on your suit couldn't hurt
hope this helps!

Commando Related Skill Mods
* Thrown Weapon Accuracy
* Heavy Weapon Speed
* Heavy Weapon Accuracy
The first mod here works, the second two do not. Heavy weapons now have their own mods, such as flamethrower accuracy, flamethrower speed, etc.
Is this still true?

Very helpful guide. Thanks. One thing I'm not clear on, or might have just missed: AAs just go into armor with sockets like CAs do with clothes or do armorers have to 'forge' them into armor as they're making it? I can't recall having seen armor with sockets. Where would I find such a thing?

yes you're right when you say AA's are to armor as CA's are to clothes, simply drag and drop onto the desired armor piece (make sure your armor has sockets for any incoming mods!)

Thanks for the quick response. Can any kind of armor have sockets? I haven't seen socketed armor yet (but I never really was looking until recently).

Okay! Found some armor with sockets (pretty easy when you know they can have them) and dropped in some good AAs. Thanks for the help!

Helpful guide, but does anyone know anything about proposed fixes for some of the broken mods? For example, will they be fixing the combat medicine use mod with the CU or is it just a guessing game until this upgrade hits the regular TC?
Thanks

Ok, I understand the article, wonderful, clears up many issues and gives great insight on the skill attachment world.
However, I have an odd skill tape with both Polearm Counterattack +25 (which I understand doesnt work) and Unarmed Accuracy +25. Of course, I want to use the Unarmed Accuracy, but according to this guide, I'd have to get a +25 or higher attachment first to even make the Unarmed Accuracy 25 stick. If I can get one, I won't need the skill tape I have.
Any ideas?

Wouldn't adding a negative valued counterattack skilltape work as well?
