or at least a convenient target to continually pull cool ideas and skills with great potential that are broken in ranger, then hand them out to the community at large... states, camo/conceal, creature trophy loot...

Thanks GarVa!
I refuse to believe that there are that many Smugglers. I refuse. ![]()
In all of my playing time of 2+ years, I have not seen so little a number of Smugglers.

But bah
if this doesnt show how much Rangers and SLs are crying out for a revamp i dont know what will.

Please fix Ranger and Squad-leader and you might want to have a look at commando too... we're only that high in the list because we're so damn stubborn about wanting to be commandos... you know those guys that were "supposed" to be a combat elite ![]()

This morning, the team made a decision to delay the Smuggler profession revamp to Publish 11.
As it stands, we have a heavy amount of resources dedicated to the Combat Balance, the Jedi Revamp, Space, and new content. That leaves us thin on resources for something as massive and as important as the Smuggler Revamp. Because the core of smuggling is mission based, it really is a big project. In order to incorporate elements of smuggling for PvE and PvP elements, it and enhance slicing, large amounts of code have to be done to make this happen.
I know many of you are eagerly awaiting this revamp and I'm sorry it is going to be delayed, but looking at all the different aspects of this situation, this is simply the best choice. By doing this, we will be able to make the Smuggler's experience more of what it should it be and work with you to find out what your ideas are and how we might incorporate them.
Myself and the developers involved in this portion of SWG development will be reading this thread and we will be talking internally about different courses of action, so we are looking forward to hearing your feedback and in helping to organize the smuggler community ideas on what you think smuggling should entail.
Again, I know what this means to you and how important it is, but to do the Smuggler revamp the way it needs to be done, this schedule delay has to happen. http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=smuggler&message.id=84573&highlight=smuggler#M84573
Cool!
I'm wondering if I should pick up Squad Leader to go along with my Chef toon.
Nah, to complete the image, I'd need himto get a wife-beater t-shirt, a smoke dangling from my mouth, and a bigger potbelly.![]()

Any combat profession if they intend to go Jedi or not would be crazy to not at least unlock the combat senses lines to enhance thier templates.. The extra melee + ranged defense, attack and speed are great

Here we go, but I'm going to say it anyhow..
The players in the game, and ANY game such as this are the "Hero's" of the game.
The NPC's that you see *every* where in the game are your civilians (other then some of the crafting / entertainer professions which could also be counted assuch). The Farmers, the "hunters", the supporting role rebels, storm troopers, thiefs, general nusiences that don't have much of a name for themselves - these are the NPC's. NPC's are everywhere there are littlerally THOUSANDS of them throughout the entire game. If you take in to account the amount of NPC's that are in the game over the amount of Jedi in the game then Jedi across the universe -are- rare. Of course you as the hero are going to see them around because hero's will always work with other hero's to protect or harm the innocents, and fight against each other. I'll bet there are many many NPC's across the game that never see a light saber. I'm not talking about those NPC's that are standing around main towns, but those out in small camp communities of their own in which many of them would probably be killed by someone else before they ever even see a Jedi or are so far away from civilization that the never even see another player character let alone a Jedi. That's the entire universe, not just the tiny amount of the universe that the players hang out in.
The argument that Jedi aren't rare and should be, that Jedi shouldn't be in the game, that they are too uber etc etc is getting old. They are supposed to be in the game, they are Jedi they are supposed to be strong. They are a lot of hard work to achieve, anyone who is willing to put in that time should be rewarded with the Jedi template that they want. Granted they might be a little more clustered togeather then they should be, but with only a limited number of planets available from the SW Universe in the actual game its going to happen. Pull your nose out of your own little world long enough to take a really good look around you at the ENTIRE game universe instead of just your small little corner of it.
