Well, I just attempted a solo of the Rebel destroy mission. Things were going smooth until the engine room. Luckily nothing in the engine room aggroed me, but I was locked in combat with some stormie on the upper floor. This use to not be a problem for me, but now.... if you are locked in combat you cant use the droid repair part to repair the droid in the engine room. I tried Feign Death in several different locations of the vette and spamming peace enough that im sure I taxed the server, but couldnt get peaced.
I finaly got tired of trying and did the loot runs and came out with 2 Av21 power supplies... so its not a total waste.

I am always locked in combat, thats the only way you can get through the engine room without being slain 23876298759145 times by the SBDs ![]()
I just run through the electricity field and take the hits. If you are buffed you'll barely notice the damage. Just run through, "use" the machine and run out.

Acouple notes:
the "elevator unlock" trick. It's random. i did the same mission twice in the same day one time the dorr opened one time it didn't. another day the door opened but didn't aloow me to use the terminal.
# of SBD's seems to be random. i went once before server reset and there were 7 in the escape pod tunnel.
the 12k mobs go down quick by a solo rifleman doing headshots (imp missions)
the 60k-100k mobs take a couple minutes with a rifleman and swordsman hitting the mind.
Ihave never been able to walk in the engine room and not be aggroed by the sbd's.
These random elements are usually the difference between the guy that says it was easy and the one that says it was nearly impossible.

For the Destroy Mission(s):
Ok, so from what I've read, there's usually a bunch of SBDs back in the Engine room(s) as well as the closet with the defunct droid, and the upstairs armoire room next to the Operations Disk #4 room.
What about the other forward areas of the ship? Are there (usually) SBDs patrolling near/around the hyperdrive control room and the bridge? Or by that time is it all NPCs?
Just trying to plan out my route.

Ok, I gave it a run tonight.
3 deaths and 35 minutes later - one AV-21 power plant, one AV-21 schematic, and one very smiley Tailor/TKM
When I got on board, for some insane reason, all the SBDs were already aggro'd to one another and to the rebel soldiers. I would have made it through cleanly except there were about a dozen droids in the elevator shaft blocking the damned UP button.

Had the same problem last night that I reported earlier in this thread when doing the rebel destroy mission. When activating the fuel intake control, it says "nothing happens". I am assured that this was the rebel destroy mission I was doing, not any of the others.
I am not retreiving the droid part and placing it in the droid, but simply walking through the electric field in the engine room. Do you think it's possible that because I'm not retrieving the droid part that this is happening? It's the second time it's happened to me. Mind you, neither time did I have the ticket.
Or could it have been the wrong sequence of actions? The order of doing the actionshas been: retreiving the data disk from the upper level, operating the computer to get the codes, going to the engine room and activating the switch, activating the meeting room, then going to the fuel intake control...
Any help/ideas would be great. I'm going to go up and try it solo this weekend myself in any case.

Great guide. I've had a ticket for a while now and with this info I'm going to head up and give it a shot. Worst caseis Ilearn the ship layout first hand.
