This is hilarious!

I remember my very first missions doing delivery missions on Tat. I'm like I have to run ALL the way somewhere out there...getting killed by some spicefiends...then trying again and dying again. lol.

If I'd just looked at my map and taken a shuttle...

I remember me and my brother teaming up to to do destroy missions...Corellian butterflies. We were like 'geez those things are TOUGH!' 'how the heck is anyone supposed to do this!?' we were owned so bad by them in the first days of release, lol.

Seeing pics of over 30 people trying to take down Faambas in Moenia.

Buying my first probot attack droid

Killing my first Stormtrooper with my first probot droid, lol.

Corpse runs, survey missions between Anchorhead and Mos Eisley, camping and storing my probot after a hard battle, and calling it out and having it at full health, taming a giant sand beetle at novice CH and not being able to use it 2 days later due to the great CH nerf

...my first hunting group northwest of Theed(and trying to save enough cash to go there). We had a full 20 people and hunted for hours. I remember adding all of them to my friend's list. Yeah, It was the greatest thing when we would come across one of those plains hunters. We'd all get incapped and after "rotating" incaps and shooting it would finally die.

...my first group stormtrooper kill by the Rebel base on Corellia. I remember I looted a Scout blaster off of it and I thought it was so cool.

...getting jumped by imperials in a cantina and I almost always won with the better quality weapons.

...bone armor which actually did nothing much to protect me.

...my 6 hour corpse recovery on Dathomir.

...the first NPC I killed in Moenia. It was one of those thugs.

...the first time I saw a Krayt Dragon and hit for 18 damage with my DLT20A and the several hour long search it took to find it.

Yeah, those were the days.

Having 100K credits was like super-uber rich.

The novice professions had some meaning to them, a master marksmen was a bad-ass.

You got paid for training people.

People were using combat droids all over the place, DE had a good business going.

Small houses were going for hundreds of thousands of credits.

Any kind of sliced weapon was going for huge amounts of money.

Dark Jedi NPC's were spotted regularly on Corellia near Tyrena and Coronet.

Exploit exploit exploit then Nerf Nerf Nerf.......

Killing decay mite hatchlings with an axe and getting diseased on day 1. then not being able to find a medic for 2 more days.

that ridculous looking hat i got for novice artisan that appeared on my head every time i cloned if it was in my inventory.

the first time i realized that they actually told you what improved your experimentation/assembly of an item (conducivity, etc.) - this was after i was a master artisan lol

and of course when mounts came out i still walked and when vehicles came out i still used my mount (and my buddies yell at me for not pulling out a vehicle in the mountains because i have +100 terrain navigation and swoops are horrible there)

Random memories of days gone by....

  • Stolen shuttleport ticket droids (yes...someone picked them up and walked off. Talk about a black market.)

  • Getting my ___ handed to me the first time by a Dark Jedi Master mob on Endor (actually, our whole group got routed). Ouchies!!

  • My 1st night on Endor (the 2nd day it was EVER accessible) and seeing 35 people in the Smuggler's Outpost screaming bloody murder at the few mobs attacking. It took about 30 people about 20 min. to kill one mob. That's right....one. And, to boot, no one would really leave town. We'd all just huddle there...worried to even venture out much. Later on, a few days later,in the middle of a hunt about 500m from the Smuggler's Outpost (which was a BIG deal, I assure you), they introduced the Bleeding system. It was incapping and killing people in about 5 or 10 secs. The Devswere actually watching it and fixing/adjusting it 'on the fly', live. That was cool....

  • There's a Jinda Cave about 800-1km S-SW of the Smuggler's Outpost on Endor. There used to be a small house/cantina there...but it's not there now (Note: we got to use as a fall-back position to stage for thecave. The first time you saw how many mobs where inside the cave, you gulped, sweated a bit and thought..."I've got a baaaaad feeling about ** Low Power ** ". Much carnage...many corpse runs.

  • Thinking I was cool cause I got a set of VibroKnucklers (which, at the time, anyBrawler could use)that could do up to 130 or 180(Note: I miss you, Balm).

  • Synchronized Wookiee Dancing (I won't mention famous fat Wookiee dancing). /shudder

  • Living (mostly mining) on Endor for about 3 weeks....alone. I still have about 12k of an Unknown Inert Petro Chem Fuel that has all 3 stats well over 900. I later got to give 1 unit of this to the Ahazi Galactic Museum for display.

  • Thinking how cool it would be to live on Endor...and just then happening upon a 'cat' that had an awesome Large Generic (Style 2) house up in the North desert (just were I would have picked, too, the lucky dog).

  • RP'ing a 'bodyguard' for a wonderful lady on Endor (who didn't need my help but seemed to enjoy my scoundrel-like ways).

  • Setting up about 12 or 15 different spatial text macros for Shyriiwook-speak and then using them to mess with other people (usually right after I trained them in Shyriiwook). Sometimes, I'd just sit and do this for 30 min. at a time in the cantina (this was at a time when afk was....less prevalent. /sigh).

  • I was in a cantina on Lok a few months back (maybe more). Not realizing where I was and, out of nowhere, I see in the spatial/chat window....."Han Solo says 'Blah buh dee blah'...". I wasn't even looking for them and....oops! There they are!! Stumbling across some of the famous Rebel types is a cool thing.

  • Running out to the Imperial Retreat to waste mobs and realizing that....HEAY!! It isn't even on the MAP!?!?!?!

  • Beating my head on my desk for about 10 min. cause I couldn't (for the life of me) figure out how to simply access a safety deposit box at the bank. THAT makes you a n00b, folks.

  • Stumbling across the now famous Massassi Temple (from which the Rebels staged their final assault on the Death Star) and going..............................................."Wwwwwoooooowwwwwww!!!".

  • Surveying and pinpointing POIs on Yavin 4 for about a week. I had details and waypoints in a text file for about 1/3rd of the planet when they released their 'top down' planet maps (and the tranparent overlays came into being, thank god). Poor timing but a great time. Note: Learning adventure planets in long stints is a highly recommended way to go, if you ask me.

  • Meeting my first player Jedi (and going on a private hunt with him). Now THAT is fun.

  • Cloning wounds used to be like 2/3 to 3/4 of your HAM bar (so, consider yourselves lucky, folks).

  • Corpse runs on Endor....well, corpse runs in general. I actually liked these. It presented a nice little challenge. Of course now, I can just imagine all the people in their undies whizzing around on Swoops.

  • Insanely high insurance.

  • Being able to be in a packed cantina on an adventure planet at any time of the day or night.

  • Thinking..."Wow, I'll NEVER make 100k in this game!!"

  • The many friends I've made, lost touch with....and all the tiny little glimmers of fun and odd things that people say and do around me (and us).

  • The final night of beta (at Moraj's Memorial Flag ). About 100 people or so (maybe more) dancing, talking, shooting fireworks, grabbingscreenshots and...fighting the 1000 Squill mobs that spawned on us (while the Devs watched and dropped live system messages on us). If you think I'm kidding about the 1000 mobs spawning on us...I have the screenies to prove it (and you can probably find them in ImageDump). Now THAT was fun.

-I remember trying to take on a mountain wort with a couple of guys with CDEF pistols. We barely scratched it and ran like hell. Back when everyone was in Mos Eisley.
-Someone attacking a squill (not a mountain squill) and everyone in the area attacking it (around 30 of us) and still taking forever to kill.
-Someone giving me scout pistol not knowing how or where to get more advanced weapons. The guy was a lifesaver. Up until that point I was going nowhere. I wish I could remember that guys name.
-My first time in AH and seeing the Rebels and Imp duke it out.
-My first time to find the Oasis on Tatooine avoiding the groups of the very nasty (at the time) Mountain Worts, Mountain Squills and Alkahar (sp?) bandits.
-When AH and Mos Eisley used to have tons of people now are barren towns.

Ah memories.

I remember when I first logged in to the beta. I asked some guy for a gun, any gun at all so I could check out combat. He gave me a ridiculous looking CDEF pistol with a barrel bent at right angles upwards! He said 'its not very accurate mate, but better than nothing' LOL

I remember a whole group of us trying to kill a giant sand beetle and not being able to scratch it. (of course my shots were firing into the sky or something, they certainly never hit)

Tatooine used to be THE place to be, I never went anywhere else. Just running around in a group saying 'oooo banthas, lets get em!' I havent been to Tatooine for a couple of months now. As master TKA / master commando there isnt much reason, but as marksman newbie it was a great place to go.
