Running out to the Rebel Hideout before speeders were put in, watching my radar for any red dots that showed up and traveling well out of the way of em'.
Running to Wayfar before player citys or speeders, that was a nerve racking trip.
Makeing 30k, I was rich!!
Accually particapting in a Rebel vs. Imp battle that was planed out ahead of time and fought on a (now non-existant) battlefield.

I remember the first day I played (the game had only been out about a week) I was just running around checking out thescenery outside of townand two guys ran up to me and asked, "Hey, how do we cross rivers?"
I said, "I don't know. Uh... swim?"
What do you know, it worked.
I also remember being a Novice Scout/Novice Artisan and being proud of myself for being so darn self-sufficient. I was like, "OMG, I can pitch a tent, harvest animals, survey resources AND make casual shirts! I'll never go back to town again!" I also did a lot of hiking into the wilderness (this was on Rori, so at that time it really was a wilderness) just to see what kinds of critters were out there. It didn't take me long to figure out that anything that didn't con blue was bad news for newbies.
Memories of my original Mon Calamari character on Corbantis:
-- I remember thinking the scenery of Corellia was so beautiful, even at night. I just could not believe the graphics. I even took screenshots and used them as desktop wallpaper. I used to walk around by myself at night out in the woods, immersed in peaceful solitude, and then admiring the beauty of the eventual sunrise.
-- I remember leaving our starting town of Doaba Guerfel on expeditions with two new-found friends (Cydian Taylor and Calybacca, both long gone) to the Crystal Swamps on Corellia. We used our cool new Probots to fight savage humbabas, which were gigantic back then. Now they are about half the size.
-- I remember my first time in the "big city" (Coronet) after spending my first 2 months in Doaba Guerfel. Coronet was HUGE compared to the town I had "grown up" in.
-- I remember falling in love with well-populated Tyrena, and finding a good spot NW of it overlooking the sea for my new house. The house was only there for about a week, because I hated having to run so far to put stuff in it.
-- I remember "The Run" to Wayfar, admiring the scenery even in the desert, seeing Jabba's Palace for the first time, and thinking, "it looks just like it did in the movie!" And were there really twin suns???
-- I remember discussing for the first time how to get to Dathomir (because we had heard of the 10k baz nitch missions), and wondering if we had to hire some special pilot or something.
--When we got to Dathomir with a small group (4-5 people), we tried to run to our mission waypoints, but only one or two of us would make it through the red dots. We were often hopelessly separated, and would try to rescue each other by making long detours, which also failed because the radar was, um, covered with red dots.
-- I remember when we finally got to our missions on Dathomir (after getting killed several times). We settled on a strategy whereby one person (usually me) would open fire on a MOB, then burst-run for the river and jump off the cliff into it, lol. While the baz nitches were chasing me ("Wow, look at Rip go!"), the rest of the group would shoot the lair. Who wants to guess whether this strategy worked or not?
-- I remember going to Dantooine's Imperial Outpost to join the big crowds of people there shooting at the pikets and bols that were right outside the Outpost. It was a perfect xp factory, since they never seemed to chase anybody. Just stood there being shot at by 20-30 people.
Rippen Tuck
(now a human on Starsider)
I also remeber when I first became an Imperial, I was declared and saw a CH talking to some neutral guy outside a medical center. So I decide to kick his arse, but he ended up incaping me with his pet, although, I begged for him not to kill me because I had just started. So the guy healed me and I ran off before he could incap me again!
